Buffalo Bills roster - Ascending, descending, shocking, packing
MJS replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ascending: Jamison Crowder. He is a good player and he has an elite QB throwing to him now. I think he'll have his best year as a pro. Descending: Dane Jackson. While he is a decent player, I think the Bills will bring in a vet and a rookie who will both play above him on the depth chart, relegating Jackson to 4th string once Tre White comes back. Shocking: Gregory Rousseau. With an elite pass rusher in Miller to account for by defenses, Rousseau will see favorable matchups and have double digit sacks. Ed Oliver should have a great year too. Packing: Matt Haack. I think the Bills will draft or sign another punter to compete in camp and they will win the job. -
Keyshawn? Who the heck is that?
-
I feel like this was true of a lot of the Bills players from that era. They were cocky and full of themselves in those earlier years, but as time went on they matured and became better people. Took longer for some of them, shorter for others.
-
Maybe Tre White could be on that list too. Soon Von Miller will have to be on that list.

Josh Allen Rookie card sold for $264, 000, value is now at $312,000
MJS replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
A rookie Tom Brady card sold for over $3 million recently. Maybe in 10 years Allen's will be going for that much too (or more, given inflation). -
Am I the only one who hasn't completely given up on Zack Moss?
MJS replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the team has shown they don't have confidence in him. His playing time diminished to basically nothing. They made RB2 a priority in free agency. Maybe he can turn things around, but he has an uphill battle to fight. But I think Singletary can do what Moss can do, just at a higher level. -
Diggs Extended 4 more years breaking news per WGR 550
MJS replied to BillsPride12's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well, I think he was also frustrated by the offensive structure and direction the team was going. By now, their HC has been fired and they are going in a new direction. Maybe they should have listened to Diggs in the first place. He probably knew what they needed to do to be more successful, but he was shouting into a vacuum. Here, he is heard by the coaches and he can tell that the offensive approach is going to bring success. -

I didn't say I missed those days. Far from it. -
Brian Flores suing NFL, NY Giants, Dolphins, Broncos.
MJS replied to BillsFan4's topic in The Stadium Wall
Because the NFL instituted the Rooney Rule and there is a hyper focus on race and fairness with HC openings. That's why the smart thing to do is to at least appear to go through the process and consider each candidate. -

Pretty stupid to not even pretend to consider every candidate, given the landscape in the NFL and the hyper focus on race in HC openings. And they go and tell Mularkey that he is chosen before you even interview anyone? I don't think that is racist, but it sure is idiotic. Even if you have a favorite candidate in mind, keep that to yourself until you go through the process. -

Even if the Bills are interested, there's no telling if he will be available when the Bills are in the clock. It's harder for me to get interested in the draft now that the Bills are always picking late and have no need to draft a QB. It's impossible to predict who will be there for the Bills to draft. And that's especially true after round 1. There is no telling who the Bills will draft. -
Maybe at this point it is just best to not make assumptions on who we can keep and who we can't. Beane has proven us wrong on multiple occasions regarding who we can and can't keep.

Are ACL injuries no big deal anymore? The data suggest they are
MJS replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think they used to basically be career ending injuries. Now we are at the point where players can at least come back and make a go of it. -
Singletary has great contact balance...

The Bills need to acquire an enforcer on defense.

Why? -
Top 5 GM and a top 5 head coach. Both have done great things to turn this organization around and into one of the most respected around the league. Pretty amazing. Keep stacking the wins and go get a championship now.
-
They double dipped because they knew that they would be moving on from Hughes and Addison this off season.
-
Gilmore only cares about himself, so he'll go to the team who gives him the most money. I have doubts that the Bills will be that team. He is a good cornerback, though, when he plays hard. But the minute he is disgruntled about something, he'll go into self preservation mode and avoid all risk.
-
Haha, keep up the delusion. Whatever keeps you going. It's nothing like that. Josh Allen had amazing moments his rookie year, with a horrible oline and no talent around him and only a cursory understanding of NFL defenses. He showed his massive potential. Tua and Jones have shown their potential too, and it has a hard cap at average. Maybe above average if they overachieve.
-
They traded Wes Welker to the Pats too. They can't stop making dumb trades.
-
Jones and Tua aren't close to Josh Allen EVER, not just right now. Two mediocre QB's with no upside.
-
Dolphins are moronic. Don't trade within the division! Idiots.
-
Glad to move on to a new era of Bills pass rush.

Video: Von Miller Behind the Scenes of Free Agency
MJS replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Fun video. I liked hearing that his dad was really advocating for Buffalo. Josh Allen is a real draw for free agents, but also just the entire organization and the respect that they have built up over the last few years. Buffalo is one of the most respected organizations in the league now, and that is apparent. There was that video that Von did with Bruce a few years ago, so we know it isn't just him researching before he signed with Buffalo. He has been a fan of Bruce Smith for a long time. Maybe that started when he thought he would be drafted by Buffalo, but it's pretty cool nonetheless. I liked his quote "I've always had a little Buffalo Bill in my blood."
