  1. "Lamonica was an All-Pro again in 1969 when he led the AFL with 3,302 yards passing and 34 touchdowns. The 34 TDs still stand as the franchise’s single-season record more than a half-century later." Those stats are good even today. Amazing.
  2. If you are going to take a small receiver like that, I would prefer them to have elite speed. Otherwise, I don't really see the point.
  3. White is going to miss some time, and even when he comes back may take some time to get back to where he was.
  4. And we don't have to worry about Tyreek Hill in the playoffs anymore. But let's not forget that McDermott's first draft pick in Buffalo was Tre White in the first round. McDermott, despite his track record with secondaries, must know he needs some additional talent there.
  5. So, still worth muting since Collinsworth is involved.
  6. So now we are going to go back and penalize all the teams who tanked over the years? Does anyone really care? Seems like a dumb thing to focus energy on.
  7. Rodgers wasn't doing his team any favors either. He certainly didn't look like the MVP in that game to me.
  8. My goodness. What a horrible team to be a fan of. And to think their best QB in franchise history threw more INT's than TD's and lost more games than he won.
  9. But Green Bay always chokes in the playoffs, so it was meant to be anyway.
  10. You can say that, but they have completely turned over the roster on offense and upgraded at virtually every position. We also have two elite superstars on offense with Allen and Diggs, plus budding stars in Davis and Knox.
  11. I'm sure it came down to New York ensuring that their only NFL team stays in New York. It would be pretty embarrassing to not have a single NFL team, given the size and prominence that a state like New York has, and given that the NFL headquarters is in New York.
  12. I defended Gilmore quite a bit when he was here, but I do think his time as a Bill was inconsistent. He tended to not play super well the first half of the season (sometimes due to injuries, other times due to just plain poor play) and then turn it on in the second half of the season and look like one of the best corners in the league. When he left and went to New England, that same thing happened. In fact, NE fans were openly bashing him and calling for him to be released for the first few games. Predictably, Gilmore pulled it together and ended the season on a really strong trajectory. After that he brought more consistency to his game and consistently performed like an elite cornerback.
  13. NFL GM Power Rankings: Bills' Brandon Beane/Sean McDermott, Rams' Les Snead top the board https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-gm-power-rankings-bills-brandon-beane-sean-mcdermott-rams-les-snead-top-the- High praise for Beane and McDermott from NFL.com in their NFL GM Power Rankings. Here are the top 5: 1) Brandon Beane/Sean McDermott, Buffalo Bills "The Bills' transformation since McDermott's hire in January 2017 could be taught in a college-level course on how to rebuild a franchise. McDermott helped to hire Beane in May of that year, and they've hit every right note since: from big trades (Stefon Diggs, moving up for Josh Allen) and savvy draft picks (Tre'Davious White, Dion Dawkins, Matt Milano) to knowing which veterans to reward (Jordan Poyer, Micah Hyde) and when to move on (John Brown, LeSean McCoy). The Bills have a defensive coach, yet prioritized building an offensive roster around Allen. They always seem to find value in free agency (SEE: this year's pickups of Jamison Crowder, O.J. Howard, Rodger Saffold, DaQuan Jones and Duke Johnson). No team is doing it better, and these two -- along with Allen -- deserve credit for helping to get funding for a new Bills stadium." 2) Les Snead, Los Angeles Rams 3) Kevin Colbert, Pittsburgh Steelers 4) Brian Gutekunst, Green Bay Packers 5) Jason Licht, Tampa Bay Buccaneers Interesting to have Beane / McDermott so high (I'm assuming they incldue McDermott since he predated Beane and had a significant hand in building the roster, especially key pieces like Tre White, Micah Hyde, and Jordan Poyer). I think there is no doubt that they have earned a ton of credit and respect around the league, and it is showing in rankings like this. I suppose I would say 1st is a little bit too high for them, but I can definitely get behind ranking them in the top 5. Go win a championship and earn that #1 spot!
  14. "Pressure is something you feel when you don't know what the hell you're doing." - Peyton Manning "You got one guy going boom, one guy going whack, and one guy not getting in the endzone." - John Madden "If teams keep playing us this way, it's going to be like this." - Peyton Manning "When it's too hard for them it's just right for us!" - Marv Levy
  15. They really have as much as they want. They could free up about $40 million more if they really needed to.
  16. Oh. Wow. There's probably a 0% chance that Josh Allen knows about that.
  17. I'd complain about punctuation, but he actually does a pretty good job with his apostrophes.
  18. I couldn't understand what he was asking him. Something about $312k?
  19. This was already discussed. And he said shorts, right? Not underwear. The OP started the other one too? Man, this is really bothering him.
  20. If they are a good player they get the 5th year option. If they aren't they don't.
  21. Is he really a star QB?
