  1. Nobody worth their salt takes that metric seriously. It fails time and time again to actually quantify the performance of a quarterback. The real thing to wonder is why ESPN didn't throw it out years ago. They still use it, and not even as a joke.
  2. If games get cancelled due to COVID, though, nobody gets paid.
  3. Spreading on the field during games has not really been a thing.
  4. Wow, he was even less hansom in 1997 than he is now.
  5. Belichick has not adjusted how he defends Allen and that has been his downfall. It's not about keeping Allen contained in the pocket anymore. Josh is an elite passer now.
  6. That's just his face. Comes from years of scowling.
  7. That was a legitimate joy to listen to. Thanks for sharing. My favorite thing was seeing all the little comments pop up in the corner from fans lamenting their team. That's the most Boston thing I have ever heard!
  8. Hughes is a free agent. Addison has one more year, but there is a note on his contract that the 2022 year automatically voids 23 days before the 2022 league year. Not sure what exactly that means as far as cap implications.
  9. I have heard fans of other AFC East teams say that Allen is unlikeable and cocky. They say the same about McDermott. I was surprised at first, but I can kind of see it. Allen does talk trash sometimes and he certainly is confident. It's easy to hate the QB that beats you a lot. Can't say I understand the McDermott hate, though. He mostly just stands there and claps for his players. He has only gotten animated with the refs a couple of times. He is usually pretty calm. That first pats game was the worst I have ever seen him. It's interesting to try to think of certain players we love as Bills fans from the perspective of other fans. For instance, I could see them hating Diggs because Diggs talks a lot and gets animated sometimes.
  10. That was on the Milano penalty. They were offsetting penalties. I bet Pats fans were really mad about that one especially since Davis went on to say it shouldn't have been called. But he's an idiot. The Pats player was aggressively pushing Milano back while walking into him and shoving his facemask into Milano's. I don't know if taunting is what I would have called it, but it was certainly unsportsmanlike conduct or something similar. The Milano penalty was valid, but it's not like he hit him hard. Just slid over the top of him. There's no need to "protect your QB" in that situation. We also can't hear what these players are saying in these situations. What they say to one another goes into it as well.
  11. So, I think two things played into it. First, almost all of the contact from Hughes was him attempting to hold Jones up. Second, to me it was kind of obvious that Mac Jones flopped when he felt Hughes touch him, and with refs close by watching the same thing, they could have easily come to the same conclusion, that he flopped to try and get a penalty. I was pretty shocked they picked it up too. I think doing so was good for the game. Hughes was dumb to touch him, but I think we need to get away from penalties for simply touching the QB and drawing a flop. QB's get enough help. And, BTW, I would expect Josh to do the same thing. It's smart and in this case it almost worked. Josh has flopped and gotten calls in his favor in the past.
  12. I agree except that he is worse than Collinsworth. That's simply not possible. Nobody can be worse than him.
  13. Heck, there's a shot at the 2 seed, honestly. A lot of the AFC contenders have harder schedules these last couple of weeks.
  14. Well, he may have been asymptomatic. A lot of people are with Omicron.
  15. We couldn't have had another 3 day break?
  16. First thing: yes, Daboll called a great game. His calls to get Allen on the move after the snap to help the oline was key, and he should have been doing more of that all year. Hope he keeps it up. Second thing: has anyone considered that benching McKenzie actually contributed to his success today? Sometimes you need a kick in the pants to reach your full potential.
  17. I'm sure you were super cocky before the game like the rest of your sucky fan base. Just curious, but do you post on any other fan message boards, or are we the only ones blessed with your presence?
  18. Ready for prom!
  19. That's only happened in two games, though. He has been a gadget player at most in every other game he has played. He has earned more opportunities though, in my opinion. I'd rather see him on the field than Sanders.
  20. I disagree. He led with his helmet and hit him in the facemask with his helmet. Yes, the bulk of the blow was to his chest, but that's a foul all day. At first I thought it was clean, but the replay showed it wasn't. I mean, it was still the first half and within two minutes. I would hope the Bills would play it like that too. Step on their neck and put the game away.
  21. Clear pass interference by Diggs there. Collinsworth can't say anything bad about the Cowboys, though, so he just said the receiver took a bad step.
  22. So Carr has an injured shoulder. They still decide to run a QB sneak. Then he comes up limping.
  23. The problem with McKenzie hasn't been talent, it has been consistency. Maybe he has turned the corner and is now a better player. He has needed a kick in the pants each year he has been here, though. Beasley, on the other hand, is very consistent. Coaches like consistency.
  24. This topic is about his fines, which are concerning. If he keeps breaking the rules he will get a suspension for sure.
  25. Might see some Nate Peterman!! Must see TV!
