McKenzie isn't anywhere close to the receiver Beasley is. If they let Beasley walk they need to bring in someone new to replace him.
-
Uh... yes. Are you just figuring this out now?
-
White might because he is a recognizable name. But he might not. Edmunds deserved it in 2019. Him going in 2020 was a residual of that, I think. Plus they always sort it by tackles for ILB's in the voting and he gets a lot of tackles.

Beast Mode will be the Bills Legend of the game this Sunday
MJS replied to OrtonHearsaWho's topic in The Stadium Wall
He had some good years in Buffalo. Two 1,000 yard seasons. 7 TD's in 2007 and 8 in 2008. He went to a pro bowl in 2008. He also had 300 yards receiving and a receiving TD in 2008. But he certainly isn't a Bills legend and it ended pretty badly with him due to his off the field issues and trade. But I have no problem with him coming to Buffalo. He is an NFL great and that started in Buffalo, and it is nice of him to remember where it all started for him. I have nothing against him. -
So why Star? Why Morse? Why Edmunds and Milano? White is a great player, but to make the pro bowl you need INT's. He only has one, so that's not going to happen. Pro Bowl locks: - Allen - Poyer - Diggs Could make it: - Bass - Hyde - Knox (if he picks up where he left off) White, Wallace, and T. Johnson are having great years and Johnson probably deserves it, but I don't think any of them will make it unless they go on an INT run.

This is what I said before the game. The Bills were in a lose-lose situation. If you beat the Jets, even blow them out, fans will just say that the Jets suck and will dismiss the win. If you lose, obviously it's a bad loss. And you are fulfilling that prophecy.
-
They play the games for a reason. You never really know how it will turn out. Just take it one week at a time.
-
He is a good player. He gets very few touches and usually makes the most of them. The fumbling is not ideal, though. If he was on another team and got 20+ touches a game, I bet he would produce.
-
He got the same foot twice, though. I think that counts.
-
Probably. I think it is less Star by himself, and more that everyone (including Star) on the dline has gotten better or are new pieces that have worked. Star dropped some weight and looks faster and just healthier. I think the year off helped him. Addison can just be a situational pass rusher like he thrives with because of the emergence of Gregory Rousseau and others. Oliver now has some years under his belt and is finally putting it all together. I think definately Star helps, but I don't think he is the only reason, or even the primary reason, that the dline is better, including run defense. I think he is one positive in a group of a lot of positives. But that's just my own guess.
-
I'm not sure. When Star was playing in 2019 the Bills still had a leaky run defense. So I don't know. I know Ed Oliver has been a beast this year. That's probably a big help. I think the dline has improved as a whole.

Brady did the same thing.
-
The Bills rank 3rd in rushing yards against and 4th in yards per attempt. They have been playing the run well this year. Elite versus the pass and still dang good against the run.

Didn't take long!

Yes, Bills are first in the league. Best Teams 1st - Bills: 29.5% 2nd - Ravens: 31.8% 3rd - Cowboys: 32.1% Worst Teams 30th - Chargers: 45.9% 31st - Falcons: 47.3% 32nd - Football Team: 55.2%

Poor roster decisions still an issue with this regime
MJS replied to FilthyBeast's topic in The Stadium Wall
You have it all figured out after one game, a game against one of the worst teams in the league, no less. -
I just don't think that's how it works. His job was to run his route. Routes are all about timing. He did his job. It's Allen's job to identify blitzers presnap and make the checks to account for them, or for blockers to adjust and pick up blitzers post snap.
-
Why? What's wrong with a tie? They are rare. You usually only have one or two a season, if any. If it was happening every week I could get on board, but I see no problem in ties with how they currently happen. I feel like teams deserve to tie if they aren't able to score more points than their opponent.
-
That's why I said mediocre.
-
All announcers talk about how good the good teams are. There's nothing wrong with that. What gets annoying is when they focus on only one team. The announcers probably did talk about the Bills a little more than the Jets, but they talked quite a bit about the Jets too. It was just mostly negative (as it should be, because they suck).
-
Barf. College overtime is by far the lamest thing in sports.

Gotta keep those two mediocre teams in prime time?
