Offensive line always suffers injuries as it is, and last year our reserves didn't play very well as a whole. Some like Ducasse & Groy (IMO) played downright miserable, and now they're starters. Our line already regressed substantially last year, but still managed to at least hold up enough to have a decent, not "good," run game. This year it's worse, so definitely expecting setbacks, especially when injuries take their toll.

It still amuses me people think Allen not being a 1st or 2nd team All-Mountain West player doesn't matter. Or that his accuracy and ability to read a defense has stayed the same at every level of his career. He's never been a dominant player, yet the Bills are going to mold him into one at the top level? The Bills....really? With our history at developing QB's, and we're to expect them to pull off a miracle here? No matter how hard I try to drink the Koolaid, no matter how many times I scour the internet for the positive articles & clips of Josh Allen, I still can't actually see this panning out.

Yeah, we haven't had any prolific passers since Flutie, and even he wasn't fantastic in that respect (though he had a good amount of 300+ yard games). On the other hand, if it weren't for that Tyrod game going into Overtime, he wouldn't have hit 300 yards even once. We'd be looking at 2006 since our last 300 yard passer...

Has there EVER been anyone to decline attending the ceremony? If not, this just wreaks of self centered, "boo-hoo," sour grapes. Other members of the HOF have had to wait far longer. Others have felt disrespected. Others felt they deserved to be in, but had to wait due to petty reasons. All still attended the ceremony & were appreciative when they finally did get selected. Art Monk waited how many years before he was selected? He should've taken the opportunity to show he was humble, not further cement the idea that he was a selfish, ego-driven, "me-first" kind of guy. But nope, he went the route that only highlighted what so many people already believed. Oh well, if that's how he wants to be remembered.

Often. It's happened a lot. Even without injuries, it happens nearly every year. There's also been quite a few who have made it to the Super Bowl who fail to even make the playoffs the following year. Also, Groy is significantly worse than Woods, Dawkins is serviceable but not as good as Glenn, and our best O-linemen was Incognito & he's gone. The other starters were bad, and the line last year was mediocre....even in run blocking. It'd be insane not to think they'd be significantly worse this year, especially as injuries take their toll (as they do every season). Whatever QB we have behind center is in for a rocky ride, and since none have much of any starting NFL experience, expect them to have a hell of a time. Shady being 1 year older will probably mean we'll be seeing a lot more of a rotation in the run game, so it'd be hard for them to actually IMPROVE this year. At best, I hope they can maintain at least moderate success.

Well, he stood by his words. I may not agree with the logic behind it, but unlike all those morons who say "I'll move to Canada if _______ is elected!" he actually followed through. So hats off to him for not being a liar.

Just don't go head to head with the NFL, and focus on cities that don't have a TON of other options to set your initial franchises. Go for LOYAL, smaller cities instead of bigger, flashy places. Don't put a team in LA, Dallas, NY, Vegas, etc. rather put teams in Buffalo (ha), Portland, OKC, St. Louis, San Antonio, Omaha, or places like those...Maybe you'll build up a loyal fanbase & can build off of them.

I get where he's coming from...but still a cheap shot. Whether it was a felony conviction or misdemeanor makes no difference to me. People get off on lesser charges than they deserve all the time (especially celebrities), so I'm not gonna pretend that he's somehow more innocent because of it. What's not ok is insulting your coworker for simply being in the picture, along with several other guys who you didn't call out, all while knowing the guy is no longer on trial. Any time anyone is next to Michael Vick, are they suddenly supporting his crimes? Same with anyone else who's ever committed a crime...do you treat them like a pariah for all eternity or do you just move on after whatever legal sentence they served was completed? I dunno....if he gets that pissy about something like this, he should call out anyone & everyone for talking to ANY NFL player...as half of them have rap sheets too.

I'm a Bills fan through & through, but never been a homer. What he says is spot on, and to think we somehow will be better after losing our 3 best O-linemen, have no playmakers on offense, and have the most inexperienced QB group in the league & beat Baltimore on the road is a pretty huge leap. The way this offense played last year was abysmal, and nothing we did in the offseason worked towards improving that. I expect the defense to play much better, but besides that, the offense will regress even further...at least initially. Our RB's are still older, playing behind an even worse offensive line... Did everyone forget how bad Vlad, Groy & Co. were last year? Now we added guys worse than them, and hooray, they're all starters! Losing Wood, Incognito & Glenn (who didn't play much last year) didn't somehow improve our porous run blocking or our terrible pass blocking.... Did our receivers improve? Nope...got worse too. And better QB's? Tyrod was a stiff, yes, but please...tell me how the 1-1 AJ McCarron, 1-1 Nate Peterman, and 0-0 Josh Allen are "better" than anyone in this league? What do you base that off of other than being a Bills fan? I'll agree that on paper, our defense has gotten better.

I hate Rodak, but he hasn't said a single thing that has come across as unfair about Allen. There are a LOT of problems with Allen's game right now, and we all knew this going into the draft. To pretend like it's the media's fault for not glossing over that is ridiculous. He's got great tools, but he's not a great player yet....wasn't even a great college player. To expect him to be covered as such, or have his flaws sugar coated for Bills fans to get all warm & fuzzy about is just pointless. Wait until he actually becomes a decent NFL player before expecting favorable coverage.

What's your internet speed? I've been streaming games off Sunday Ticket for several years now & never have a problem. Just don't EVER give out your password to anyone, as it'll block you from watching the games if you're logged on anywhere else. And even DirecTV can't boot them off, changing the password doesn't work, nothing helps.... Screwed me one game last year lol

I wouldn't either. More people other than Mahomes may have done so, but I haven't heard of it until now. Just funny to think some people said Mahomes wouldn't really fit in as a "Buffalo kinda guy," but this reminds me of the high quality *character* players the Bills frequently want on their team. Just made me curious as to how WNY looks right now on the Josh Allen front. Is he already appearing in local car dealership commercials? Is he on local website ads promoting a grocery chain? Even if he is, doesn't mean much, but with the dumb Twitter controversy he had right before the draft, I wonder if it's made him more cautious about trying to get off on the right foot with his new teammates, and integrate into the locker room more quietly.

And only one game in 3 seasons as the starter over 300 (just barely), and it took OT to hit that. Not many starting QB's get 3 full years "leading" an offense that was dead last or close to dead last, in passing with those kind of numbers.

No, that's not what inconsistent means, or else nobody would use that term EVER when describing QB performance. And considering there's the other content describing his play, you take the word "inconsistent" in context WITH the rest of stuff written about him. It's not rocket science, and the fact that we're debating the term "inconsistent" shows how far down the hole people will go in their defense of someone. The mental gymnastics required to justify breaking down commonly used words in the English language just to defend a football player is insane. Inconsistent means more than just "some throws on target and some not." His ability to read the defense could be inconsistent. His mechanics could be inconsistent. His short, medium, deep, etc. accuracy could be inconsistent. His velocity could be inconsistent. His ability to go through his progressions could be inconsistent. There are many facets of his game that could be inconsistent, or he could just be labeled inconsistent overall. Every other day he could look like a completely different player. Every other drive he could be Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. When I think of inconsistent QB's, I think of Ryan Fitzpatrick, Blake Bortles, Jay Cutler, Jameis Winston, Eli Manning, etc.... Some of those guys are considered very good, some aren't, but all of them can show brilliant flashes one game, then lay a turd the next couple. Consistent guys would be Tom Brady, Alex Smith, Kirk Cousins, Dak Prescott, Case Keenum, etc (more so his first 2 years), not because they never miss a pass, but because you know game in and game out who they are, what they want to do, and who they are. Even Tyrod could be considered consistent, as he may have some up & down games, just as every QB does, but what he does well and what he doesn't are clear to everyone, and how he's going to perform in certain situations is well known to all.

Think it shows a lot of character to turn down money and exposure, just so you can integrate into the team better.

Like others have said, it's great in THEORY but usually bad in practice. It's like Rex Ryan's defenses.... There's no one way to do things, as each week it's different depending on matchups and personnel, using different combinations and packages for different situations. Sounds fantastic....but it doesn't usually work so well. Players don't become great at anything, confusion happens, mistakes are more common, and the depth players who don't get the reps to fine-tune their abilities end up being far behind when they do finally have to play. I hope it works out, but usually having one main scheme with different variations and packages is more successful. Sometimes having a simple & straightforward philosophy yields much better results (see Jim Schwartz's defense) than switching it up week to week.

Since Lindell is the most accurate kicker in Bills history, combined with being our kicker for the longest period during the drought, I'd put him at #1 easily. He also had quite a few clutch kicks, and was one of the few underrated bright spots on the team. Unfortunately, he didn't get as much credit as he deserved since we weren't in many close games that really mattered. Even though he was the source of most of our points, those didn't equate to wins, and people outside of Buffalo aren't going to take notice of that. If Hauschka stayed around for another few years and won us some meaningful games, I could see him moving up the ranks too though. And as much as people remember the crappy end of Carpenter's career here, he was pretty damn good for quite a while. Easily #2 for me right now.

I tried to reiterate this several times in my original post, but it seems some people want to just ignore that & generalize by saying "all teams have poor depth blah blah." That's not true at all, and that's not the main point of contention. We don't need starters behind starters behind starters, but many people are ignoring obvious problems... first off, how limited we are at entire starting positions in general, followed by the massive drop off behind them, Teams have 2 starting WR's...with the 3rd guy getting significant reps. Kelvin Benjamin is already a risky player to be your #1, but the guys at #2 and #3? Holy hell they are depth players on other rosters, not starters. So who's behind them? An even more steep drop off. If Benjamin gets injured (which is very, very likely), there goes the whole WR corp which our also inexperienced QB's are throwing to.... And the O-line? Did nobody else see the drop off last year when we still had a couple good guys on the team? We complained every week about the starters outside of Incognito & Wood, as they were pitiful. Now guys worse than them are starters, and the guys behind them are nobodies. We aren't just "thin," we are barren. And again, we have unknown & inexperienced QB's throwing to a paper thin WR corp while being "protected" by these guys...yet we're supposed to act like it's ok? Every year injuries happen, and every year people go into the season only mentioning how great we look on paper. A couple weeks in and you can rip that paper up, but usually there are guys you can be confident in sitting behind the starters. Guys who have experience, are solid role players or rotation players, and guys who contribute in between reps of our starters. We don't have that this year. And defensively, guys...you see how it's a rotation based on packages and what the offense is doing. DB's get subbed in & out, DT's get subbed in and out, even LB's get subbed in & out (Brandon Spikes anyone?)...those guys see play time. They don't just ride the bench until someone's injured. These non-starters DO play week to week, they just aren't heavily relied on. This year, those guys on our roster are likely going to have to be major contributors, and if anyone goes down (which they always do), be the main focus. That's not good.

If you’re hearing nothing but negative reviews, then worry. Take all of the minicamp and OTA updates with proper skepticism. Everyone looks better in helmets and shorts, without a pass rush bearing down on them. Every pick is a home run at this point." "To repeat: Any bit of praise about a rookie in May probably means little." But hey, I'll take glowing reviews ,whether they're a sign of things to come or not, over bad reviews all day every day. Glad to see people are high on him at the moment. Hope he keeps it up
