  1. It'd just be nice to see the Bills be able to win a game like this. When the defense isn't able to make stop after stop, and the opposing offense is putting up points, you'd like to see your own offense go out and carry the load. The Bills can't do that.
  2. It just shows what's SUPPOSED to happen when the defense can't carry the entire load... Some games get into high scoring matches, and when they do, the Bills can never respond accordingly.
  3. Here's a crazy idea - Is Patrick Mahomes the next Patrick Mahomes?! My gut says yes, but my other gut says no...BUT WHO DO I BELIEVE?!
  4. That's highly debatable. We could've traded players (we had them), and picks from the current/future drafts. Besides the year after Watkins, we've had 1st round picks...we've had 2nd round picks. And again, some of those QB's WE PASSED ON. We had the opportunity to draft them and chose not to, several times. If you want to staunchly defend that position, I'll provide what picks we had, who we chose, and what assets we had both pick-wise and personnel wise to argue the opposite.
  5. I specified people we could've targetted had we wanted to trade away a bunch of picks, that's it. I also mentioned QB's we passed on that weren't "mediocre/overhyped" and we could've drafted, nothing more. I mentioned this in both posts.
  6. Sounds like Aaron Maybin weight...but I don't know much about the guy either.
  7. QB's worth trading up for that weren't mediocre that he could've tried to trade up for or just fall into his lap when he was GM? Teddy Bridgewater, Derek Carr, Jimmy Garoppolo, AJ McCarron (maybe), Jameis Winston (maybe), Marcus Mariota (maybe), Jared Goff, Carson Wentz, Dak Prescott, Patrick Mahomes (maybe), Deshaun Watson... Again, some of those we passed on (several times), some we would've had to trade up for, but those are all guys that could've been targeted had he wanted to that he didn't go after. Yes, if people look back at predictions leading into the 2015 season, people all said "just a QB away" from being a viable contender in the AFC playoff picture. We were the "hot" pick by many people, and with Rex supposedly being a defensive guru, the expectations were sky-high that we'd field a loaded team absent of a QB.
  8. True, but there have been non-overhyped mediocre QB's that would've been worth trading away picks for during his tenure. Still not saying he sucked, he didn't, but we also can't ignore there were QB's there that would've been worth trading up for (or just having fall into our lap).
  9. I really don't think any team wants him as their starting QB. There's a reason he took a pay cut last year to stay with the Bills, and it's because it was his best chance at being the guaranteed starter. And this season he's looked even worse, so it's unlikely his prospects suddenly improved.
  10. Man, if Tyler Eifert could stay healthy... I'd take him in a heartbeat. Not that Clay is bad by any means, but Eifert is fantastic when he's actually on the field.
  11. Not surprising who the "Home" teams are. All teams that will probably make more money in London than their actual home games.
  12. Here's the thing... we've had ALL those other things you've mentioned besides #5 over the last 18 years, and look where that's gotten us. At times, we've had nearly all of it except #5. Maybe it's time we put #5 at #1 and go a different route for once.
  13. Whoever they hire needs to have a big say in who the QB they go after is, whether it's in the draft or FA. Pair them with the proper QB coach & hopefully the sky's the limit.
  14. I've been saying this for quite a while now, as I've seen plenty in the game plan that allows us to win. It's just execution that falls short. It's why I don't feel strongly about getting rid of Dennison, as too many plays are left on the field each game. It's not just 1 play here or there, it's a lot of them...seemingly on every drive. It's just frustrating to not know how good the offense COULD be if the correct plays on the field were made.
  15. 1. Patriots 2. Steelers 3. Giants 4. Dolphins 5. Jets Other likable teams? All underdogs as usual. That includes Jags, Titans, and Vikings in the playoffs. Could say Falcons, but I don't feel one way or another with them. During the regular season it'd be nice to see the Bengals, Browns, and Lions do well. But really no team comes close to the Bills in who I like/root for (although I do pull for the Redskins as my entire family are Skins fans).
  16. We can only hope...but after 3+ years of saying it, I'll just believe it when I see it. That trixy hobbit always finds a way to be good for yet another year.
  17. Exactly. This isn't even the best team the Bills have had over the drought, there's even articles written about it. We got very lucky in a number of ways to make it to the playoffs (many teams do), but that doesn't mean we'll automatically improve record-wise next year. Every team gets upgraded, every team goes through FA, every team goes through the draft, every team makes trades... Tyrod has regressed since his first game as a starter, and this season he's been below even his low standards. If we draft a new QB, I'm fine with getting a new OC even though I'm not really anti-Dennison. As long as we have a capable QB coach & have a good surrounding staff to develop him, I'll be happy. However, it's very likely our record dips a couple games with a rookie QB.
  18. Definitely. I usually find the playoffs & match-ups more interesting than the actual Super Bowl.
  19. I'm sure he would also rather be the undisputed #1 choice instead of the 4th choice too lol Yes, is 39 catches & 8 TD's worth 2 first round picks & paying someone top 5 WR money? He's not even a top 20 WR, so hell no. Or his place in the draft. We took Stevie Johnson in the 7th round, and he performed better for us than Sammy, who we spent two 1st rounders on
  20. Really wish our home & away teams were flipped. Rather us play GB & MN at home, but oh well. Either way, schedule LOOKS better than going into this season. We had a lot of success against the NFC North the last go-around so looking forward to seeing what happens next season.
  21. Not buying it until Dunkirk Don confirms with his source.
  22. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2018-nfl-mock-draft-josh-rosen-to-broncos-colts-grab-saquon-barkley/ #21 Mason Rudolph, QB, Oklahoma State. Rudolph checks the experience and production boxes Sean McDermott and Brandon Beane like, and they don't have to trade up to get him. He'll have to learn the footwork that's needed when taking snaps from under center, but he's a pocket quarterback first who refined his game in his last season in Stillwater. #22 Marcus Davenport, DE, UTSA. Davenport has all the tools to be a consistent havoc-wreaker off the edge, and Buffalo needs to bolster it's pass-rush. The University of Texas at San Antonio product isn't very raw, either. In college, he displayed a wide variety of counter moves to get to the quarterback, and he's a long, twitchy athlete. Ugh...I really hope this isn't the case. Not in the first round at least. Here's another one from a little earlier -. http://draftwire.usatoday.com/2017/12/13/2018-nfl-mock-draft-updated-4-round-projections-heading-into-week-15/3/ 21. Buffalo Bills | Mason Rudolph | QB | Oklahoma State Tyrod Taylor doesn’t look like the long-term answer for the Bills at quarterback, and the early returns aren’t promising on Nate Peterman. A bit of a reach this early, Rudolph is big, athletic and talented, but needs more polish and consistency. And another one - https://www.landof10.com/big-ten/nfl-mock-draft-2018-first-round-projections-top-players-2018-nfl-draft-order-january-10 And yet another - http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2752231-2018-nfl-mock-draft-top-prospects-and-1st-round-projections-before-playoffs (although they have us picking at 26?) I do like that a lot of them have us taking his buddy James Washington, but do we really need to spend a 1st rounder on a WR when we don't have a QB? I'd rather us take a linemen over a WR with either of our first 2 picks... I mean we have 2 former #1 WR's of other teams in Matthews & Benjamin, plus we spent a 2nd on James Har...I mean Zay Jones. Anyway, if there's one QB I hope we don't take in the 1st round it's Mason Rudolph, and all these mock drafts have me worried.
  23. He won PFF's Rookie of the Year. https://twitter.com/PFF/status/949306248826105861/photo/1
  24. It's the O-line! No, it's the OC! No...it's the HC! No...it's the receivers! No...it's the defense! No, it's the refs! Those are the REAL reasons we lost the games we did, not the QB.
  25. Unless they changed the receivers to all be 7'6 and have a 5 foot vertical, he'd still over throw them far out of bounds on every attempt.
