  1. Fair point, but on the opposite end I could argue Lattimore was in a better situation for stats as the Saints were putting the hurt on people and forcing opponents to pass to play catch up. The Bills let people run on over them, and never really put anyone away to where they'd have to ditch the run game and focus solely on passing. Lattimore got more picks just by virtue of teams having to play catchup all the time. Buffalo was ranked 29th in rush defense, so opponents never had to throw much against us, while the Saints were ranked 16th. Not sure how much of a factor any of that is, and I acknowledge Lattimore is good (and deserving), but I think considering the circumstances White had working against him proved he's equally as capable.
  2. How is Lattimore on there but White isn't? They're both CB's, and their stats are extremely similar. Lattimore White -52 Tackles -69 Tackles -1 Forced Fumbles -1 Forced Fumble -0 Fumbles Rec. -2 Fumbles Rec. -5 Interceptions -4 Interceptions -18 Pass Def. -18 Pass Def. -1 TD -1 TD Ok so what makes Lattimore worthy of a nomination but not White?
  3. Usually it's the people defending the bad QB play. They say everyone else is the problem... "It's the crappy receivers!" or "It's the crappy OC!" or "It's the crappy O-line!" or "It's the crappy coaching scheme!" But I'm happy for these guys, especially Woods. Granted paying him as much money as the Rams did wasn't going to happen, especially with our cap situation at the end of last season, but many guys slack off once they get paid. Woods didn't, and he exceeded expectations, helping a young QB grow & gain confidence in the process.
  4. Yes, definitely. But then again, it doesn't matter if we trust the process, it matters if the players do. As long as they have McDermott's back, I'm happy.
  5. 100% right. And Deonte gets open deep quite a few times a game, yet how often does TT make use of that a game? Almost never. And when he does throws deep, expect it to go sailing out of reach & out of bounds.
  6. His QB definitely wasn't very good, but he made plenty of mistakes himself. I really hope he turns the corner and breaks out next season, as it seems he lost his confidence this year with TT throwing to him. Also Matthews will be significantly better by virtue of a new QB. I mean he never had less than 800 yards receiving in any season before TT, and he didn't have good QB then either. Just shows how poor the passing game was this season.
  7. Definitely, but last season you could hide your head in the sand and try to use the "efficient" argument along with "well he works great for our offense!" But his flaws this season shined through bright as the sun, and illuminated his deficiencies more than ever before.
  8. Thompson could've easily closed the distance and moved towards the ball to prevent the INT, especially considering the DB did just that and was further away from the ball than he was. However, I do not want to see Peterman as the starter next year unless he somehow just lights it up in camp & preseason, and earns that spot surprising everyone (like Russell Wilson). I don't see it happening, but stranger things have happened. I just hope we put serious effort into getting a franchise QB in the draft, and even FA if they find a guy they think is a great fit. I highly doubt anybody said this, and if they did, they're not close to the QB situation. There's really no way I see Peterman as the coach's choice to start next year even before the draft. The Bills have got to be seriously looking for a QB in the draft, as it would be stupid to just hang their hat on someone they thought worthy of only a 5th round pick. Unless Peterman was getting starting reps the entire week, I highly doubt he'd do great against the #1 passing defense in the league.
  9. If they got a new QB, I'd hope to see Benjamin, Matthews, and Thompson all return. We used (wasted) a 2nd round pick on Zay Jones (and we traded up to get him), so given that alone it's obvious he has to stay on. We just have to hope he gets MUCH better.
  10. I haven't even watched it yet, but if he's saying Tyrod isn't a good QB, then he's right. This whole season highlighted all his issues clear as day to everyone who actually watched.
  11. And 3-22 when we go down by even a single point in the 4th quarter. Same amount of wins there as JaMarcus Russell. He's virtually incapable of coming back from even the tiniest deficit. We have to hope we're nursing a lead going into the 4th if we have any shot of winning. If the defense isn't playing fantastic, we have no chance of winning with Tyrod as the QB.
  12. Plays it safe but not smart. He's not "efficient" like people try to say. Situational awareness and throwing to the correct receiver are things he doesn't do well.
  13. The play he got hurt on 3rd down at the end of the game. Yet another play with an open man to throw to, that he saw, and then was too scared to pull the trigger & took off running.
  14. That's a pretty weak argument. You can say that about every player in the league then... "It's not their fault they're playing, it's the people who hired them for the job!" "Don't criticize them for being bad, don't point out their limitations, ignore their play on the field, just yell at those in management game after game for signing them!" That literally applies to anyone & everyone playing the sport.
  15. Ah, didn't know that. Makes sense now.
  16. Sure, I'll say thank you. Thanks, Tyrod for working hard & showing up. Please be on another team next year, but best of luck.
  17. That's ridiculous. Just shows we get that defense built up, but forget something on the other side of the ball.
  18. Man, you'd think he'd want out of Vegas after being locked up there.
  19. Isn't Incognito mic'd up from time to time? Would be pretty dumb to say anything racist on the tape.
  20. I'd like to see Brown return. I still think we need to draft a LB too, but Brown lead the league in tackles this year, and is pretty consistent. He's not going to get to the QB, but he was pretty darn good out there today (as was the entire defense).
  21. Ouch... I think he's a bad QB too, but that's harsh! I really do hope he's ok. Seems like a great guy, and hope he makes a full recovery!
  22. I don't dislike you as much as many posters on this board, but I'm going to say this take of yours is way off. They have a better team, were playing at home, and had a QB that played better.
  23. He got 2 first downs on the drive with all odds stacked against them. You're right, he's not NFL ready to be a starter. But for anyone to EXPECT more from him at that point in the game is absurd.
  24. You are trying to apply games that don't matter, plays that don't matter, situations that don't matter, to this ONE situation. As if any of that is relevant... Again, wtf did you expect? TT already threw an INT in the game, do we say his INT is the same as every INT? No. It was specific to that situation. Minute left, offense hasn't done squat all game. 4th & 3 with no timeouts. Yes, he should've done so much more & had every advantage and opportunity in the world handed to him on a silver platter.... What a fool for not winning the game singlehandedly in a situation Tyrod is 3-22 in all time.
  25. Considering it's been said by analysts and outlets reporting on the game, as well as professionals and players, it's not really disputable. Coupled with if you've played football from Middle School onwards it's pretty obvious. But yeah, the cornerback that was a couple yards behind the receiver somehow got the ball while the receiver who stood in place did not. Gee, if the corner could come towards the ball, how could the receiver not?
