  1. And with this recent run on WR's, we may have missed the opportunity to pull the trigger on one of the better ones.
  2. Never thought his production warranted being a first round pick like so many were projecting, but to see him still on the board now is kind of curious. It might be a work ethic/attitude thing or something, as most teams would normally be thrilled to snag a WR this athletic & with so much potential at this point in the draft, yet they're not biting.
  3. Just remember saying that later this season if Allen is still looking poor, not hitting targets and taking too many sacks. Not saying you specifically will be one of these people, but if Allen starts to struggle, it won't be long before 1) the OC gets blamed, 2) the O-line gets blamed, and 3) the skill position players get blamed. But we've invested quite a bit this offseason into O-line, so it really looks like that's one less future excuse.
  4. I stated before the draft that if we spent every pick on an O-linemen just to get us that much closer to finding a solid starting 5, I'd have no complaints. Even with the Free Agents we picked up, drafting young, talented linemen is still extremely important, so I love this pick. Anything to give Allen a better shot at standing upright.
  5. Hopefully is decline in production this past season isn't indicative of things to come. Granted he was the obvious focus of opposing teams & double teams, but he'll be facing that in the NFL too.
  6. I really hope not...as much as I'd like them to go offense
  7. Well Ed Oliver is available...guess this is where we'll find out where McD's priorities lie...
  8. One day, I hope I have two sons that are 1st round NFL picks.... Must be pretty nice lol
  9. Still not sold on Murray at all... And as a Texas Tech alumn, not sold on Kingsbury as a HC either.
  10. Worth it. Now if only we could trade our 2nd round pick to get AJ McCarron back, we'd be set.
  11. The last Big 10 QB drafted in the first round was Kerry Collins in 1995... That was an interesting stat to pop up. Not sure what that says about the Big 10 though...
  12. You think a couple mid-tier WR's and a total of 0 elite linemen have us set? You're right. Stop the presses! The Bills have finally done it. We won FA (again) and we can now afford to just grab whatever BPA falls our way. When your roster is as stacked as our's, who can blame them? The team that has one playoff appearance in 20 years, and an offense consistently in the bottom 5 of the league the past several years has really turned the corner with this FA crop. We've finally reached the pinnacle of the mountain.
  13. Right on! I'd honestly be happy with almost any position on offense over any defensive pick at this point. Having a stud TE could change the entire dynamic of this offense, and be the biggest help to Allen's development. Aside from having Brady, the Pats have shown just how much a great TE can dominate the game. But even if we were to grab an O-linemen or WR, I'd still take improving the #30th ranked offense over trying to bolster the #2 ranked defense any day. Especially when this year could make or break Allen, and after what we've invested in him already, we NEED him to succeed. This team and this regime's future depends on Allen not being a flop, so they should be doing everything possible to help him specifically.
  14. Yes, please help bolster our weak defense! I mean, we have a whopping ONE WHOLE TEAM ahead of us in overall defensive ranking, that's embarrassing! Thankfully our offense is set, especially with our FA signings. And with only a measly 29 teams ranked ahead of us, there's hardly room for improvement. Josh Allen already silenced all his critics, so there's really nothing left our offense needs to do but deliver us the Lombardi trophy & seal the deal. And with Ed Oliver anchoring the defense, the offense can rest comfortably knowing their efforts won't be in vein anymore.
  15. Well it was a Bills show... soooo yeah, not surprising he said nice things about the Bills. And I thought Bills fans hated Mel anyway? We don't care what he has to say right?
  16. Definitely going to that Thanksgiving game... There's no way I'm missing that.
  17. Tom Brady 33 QB Nathan Peterman 33 QB I knew Peterman & Brady were similar caliber players!
  18. Exactly how I feel! I'm not "old" by any means either (I'm 32), but I prioritize an enjoyable & comfortable game experience way above stuff outside of the game these days. If the stadium has good sight lines, decently comfortable seats, quality amenities, and a fun & friendly atmosphere I'll be thrilled. Tailgating is fine when it's done in a mature way, but too often people associate tailgating with "get as hammered as possible before kickoff, then act like nut job until I puke my guts out!" I think the team probably wants to limit the dangerous stuff going on & would like to promote a more family friendly environment. Hopefully tickets will still be mostly affordable, even with a new stadium. Can't imagine Bills ticket prices would ever shoot up past the bottom third of the league.
  19. Halle-FREAKIN-lujah! Pass Interference calls not being reviewable has been one of the biggest & most stupid oversights the NFL has allowed for too long. Though all calls have the potential to change a game, PI can dramatically flip a game more so than pretty much all other calls. About time they smartened up.
  20. Heart, commitment and leadership skills are traits successful QB's have, but they aren't traits that are indicative of successful QB's. Allen can have the willpower & determination to be great all he wants, just as he can work his butt off & study all the film in the world, but that doesn't mean anything when it comes to actual play in games. We can hope it translates to better performances, but just because he wants it, doesn't mean it'll just happen.
  21. Well last year we took their leftovers with Bodine, then realized quickly why they dumped him. Only fair they take our leftovers this year.
  22. Man...would've been an amazing pickup if we could've grabbed him.
  23. You know, the other good thing about these front-loaded contracts is that they serve a second purpose. In the unfortunate scenario where we once again fail to become a decent team, the next regime that comes in to fix the mess won't have as much crap on the books & have more cap space to work with I know, I don't want that to happen either, just saying...
  24. If he's our #2 WR, probably. If he's our #3 option, I highly doubt we'll pass the ball enough to have our 3rd WR net that many yards. Lately it seems our RB/TE will get more receptions & yardage than most of our WR's.
