  1. My thoughts exactly...actually thought we might have to throw in a pick ala Brock Osweiler
  2. This is pretty much how I feel with the exception of trying to separate the protests from the game- I just don't care one way or the other...the game is the game and that is all that matters to me.
  3. Which should have made it even easier for Whaley to move on imo...and I wasn't trying to insinuate that Whaley drafted EJ, if that is what you were alluding to- only that Whaley stuck with EJ when he didn't have to.
  4. Luv me some Jimmy G...I wanted the bills to draft him I kind of have to disagree here...drafting the wrong QB only has long term negative consequences if the team allows it to imo...meaning, nothing held Doug Whaley back from drafting another QB after EJ except Whaley's own ego. The Bills could draft a QB in the bottom half of the 1st round and if they feel, after a few years it might not have been the right choice, draft another...it really shouldn't be that big of a deal imo because teams miss on picks all the time.
  5. Totally agree....I think for the first time in a long time we finally have a solid backup
  6. absolutely...we need more of this "No holds barred" attitude.
  7. I wouldn't mind staying put and drafting Luke Falk...we could go into next season with Tyrod as the starter in the final year of his contract with Peterman the #2...Falk could have a red shirt first year to learn the system as the #3 QB and then compete with Peterman for starter in 2019.
  8. So sorry my man...can't even begin to imagine...God bless him and his family
  9. 4 years of Mario Williams plus two years of Club Rex...maybe MD is learning how to buy in all over again... fingers crossed, but I liked what I saw...hopefully it wasn't just because FO and ownership were there.
  10. I hear ya...from the start I was always surprised the NFL allowed the protesting- not that I'm for or against- but rather just because the players are doing it while wearing the "company" uniform...I know my employer probably wouldn't like me going out protesting while in uniform.
  11. there is probably more agreement here than most people think...just saying it in different ways imo...but i get the impression most people feel Tyrod overstepped here.
  12. I'm not sure the entire discussion changes, but I get your point and agree with you premise...he does need to lead the team to more wins and raise the level of play of his teammates...instead Tyrod is a guy who seems to need all stars at every position to succeed- and that's not good enough imo.
  13. I guess it COULD be possible that Tyrod is held to a different standard than white quarterbacks... but where he loses legitimacy in his argument, to me, is when he claims that Aaron Rodgers is a mobile quarterback, but suggests that he doesn't get labeled as such because he is white. I think everyone would agree that Rogers is, first and foremost, an elite passer- whereas the same cannot be said for Tyrod Taylor... of course Rogers has some speed and elusiveness in the pocket but it is not his first best skill as it is with Tyrod... therefore most people find it hard to accept Taylor's argument because the foundation for which he bases it on is weak imo...both Derek Carr and Aaron Rogers produce at a high-level in the passing game. Until Taylor does the same he will always be seen as a running quarterback regardless of skin color .
  14. I just pray that if Fitz does play that he doesn't go all Joe Montana on us, like he did with the Jets...don't think I could take another one of those.
  15. I don't mind having disagreements with people, as that is going to happen with everybody... and I never try to censor others because I would not want to be censored for how I think. I am a very objective person and can respect all points of view, as I do in this situation, whether I agree or not. My issue more has to do with the name calling and insults, and the debasing of the conversation in the name of "trying to be funny". A person that knows you may recognize your attempt at humor, while another that doesn't know you so well may think of you as obnoxious and ignorant. Now, you might not care either way, but perhaps you would have a more positive effect in getting your message across if your methods were a little different- specifically in such a hot button topic...but that is entirely up to you...and I'm not saying you need to change- but just know that people will respond accordingly. Ya know I was really disappointed to hear this from Tyrod- he comes across as such a stand up guy - and his statement just sounds like he is making excuses...to me people bashing him for his low production isn't "holding him to a higher standard", but rather the same standard that everyone else is held to imo- it kind of sounds like he wants us to LOWER our expectations of him and just be OK with his low production because he is black...hopefully there is more context to the quote because as of right now it just seems a little disappointing. PS Jc did Tyrod say he hated someone that never wronged him? I just didn't understand what you were referring to at the end of your post. Thanks.
  16. Totally agree...if Tyrod were putting up better production and winning and people were still bashing him he may have a point- but he hasn't done squat
