It's funny you post this Gugs...during training camp Derek, his family, and Del Rio were being interviewed by Derek's brother, David...I remember thinking at the time that I thought it was odd how he spoke to his HC- he was probably just playing around, but one could definitely take it as being a little disrespectful to his superior...I kinda just brushed it off as never really hearing Derek speak before, but after your post, it does somewhat seem like he has a wise-ass attitude with his HC.

I kind of have to agree- between not going for it on the goal line and then trying to run out clock at mid field with 4 minutes to play

If we end up trading Darius to save our cap hit, we may have to throw in a 4th round pick to the other team (ala Brock Osweiler)...potentially the price to pay for another team taking on Marcel's massive contract...I could see this happening...so Marcel plus a 4th rounder for extra cap space and major relief from this headache. He might not be my first choice...but he might be the one we can get...I'm curious about his leadership qualities...I have seen some of his interviews, and while seemingly intelligent, he doesn't seem to really strike me as a "take charge" type of leader- very soft spoken, mild mannered, and "boring" according to his coach...the Bills will have to find out if they think he can command a huddle...I would luv if he had Peterman's intangible qualities of leadership.

It's almost like people are trying to guilt others into agreeing with them so they use the "disrespecting the troops" argument...when fact of the matter is most KNOW it has nothing to do with the troops.

Most people understand that it is not about the troops, so it is not an issue for them...if he wants to think that way, there is nothing anybody can do to help him...he has to find his own path...I wish him well and hope he finds what he is looking for.
