I love the revisionist history on this message board. I remember everyone wanting Cordy's big contract gone because he had two injured feet and barely saw the field. Now it's another horrible "McBeane" decision I guess ... because we hate them now ... for some reason.

Everyone said the same thing about Cordy Glenn and I didn't understand that either. 1. I'm the person that suggested going after him in the off-season (and got laughed at), so I'll be the person to end this thread. The Saints traded a 3rd for him. We would need to trade at least a 2nd (which will be a borderline 1st round pick). We're not going to do that after spending two first round picks on the QB position already. The end.

This is the problem. Year 1 our coach took a horribly depleted team to the playoffs. Year 2 we cut even more cancer out of the team and had to deal with a ridiculous amount of dead cap. Zero talent on the team. What was the expectation? And that's it. Everybody is done with "the process" because we're not Super Bowl contenders. How exactly did you guys expect this all to play out? Immediate back to back playoff years with zero talent and inheriting horrible contracts?

Josh Allen is starting next year and the Saints TRADED FOR Bridgewater. They’re not gonna just let him go. This Bridgewater stuff has to end. We should have signed him, but we didn’t. Considering the coach already said that's not going to happen and it makes zero sense, I don't know why we're "debating" this.

If you don't want a 3rd for Shady, you don't understand what we're trying to build. A 4th or later is when you can start to complain. A 3rd would be extremely strong value for a 30 year old running back with an expensive contract.
