Incoming, Speculation 49ers-Pats trade for Rosen.
Rigotz replied to 17 Josh Allen's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How about when the Patriots shipped a 2nd round pick out for Kony Ealy last season .... only to cut him a few weeks later. Was there some type of secret deal with the Panthers? Oh god ... NO!!! WAS THERE A BACK DOOR DEAL WITH GETTLEMAN TO TRADE UP TO #2 WITH HIS NEW TEAM? DOES THAT MEAN HE INFILTRATED BEANE AS WELL?? NOOOOOOOO -

No matter what happens this feels like an historic draft.

http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-1/Bills-players-dish-on-these-seven-NFL-Draft-prospects/13403889-1714-4a9c-94a7-bed57dfdf204 This article was posted yesterday on BuffaloBills.com ... lots of standard player hype stuff, but I thought this quote was interesting: "Bills offensive lineman, Conor McDermott, blocked for Rosen for two seasons (2015-2016) at UCLA. In 2015, Rosen’s freshman year, he was sacked the second-fewest times (14) in program history. “I had him when he was fresh out of high school, so he was real young, but he came in with maturity and worked hard,” said McDermott. “He came in as a leader from the start. He’s just grown with that maturity and leadership during his three years at UCLA.” Although Rosen is regarded as the purest passer in this year’s draft, some experts have questioned his qualities as a teammate. McDermott was quick to dispel the negative words about his former quarterback. “I know those negative words aren’t true, because during my two years with him he was very passionate and had a strong love for the game,” he said. “He was just a very smart player. Everybody in the locker room loves him. He’s a great team player.” I'm sure Beane & Co. are plugging Conor McDermott and his connections for information right now. That makes me feel better that IF we draft Rosen, we'll likely know exactly what type of locker room presence we're getting. No media BS.

Bills facing HUGE Clock Management Problem...

Maybe when somebody told Benrus they had to pay their Bills bills, the accounting department just thought it was a joke and wrote it off. -
April Fools: Bills trade up with Giants!!

Please ban this poster. We all knew this post would happen today and now it has. There's got to be some accountability around here. -
I don't know why anybody would be against Comp picks. It was created as incentive for small market teams (i.e. Bills) to not consistently get burned by all their best players leaving in free agency and receiving no compensation for it. The only difference between us and other organizations (until recently, hopefully) is we were too dumb to take advantage of the system.

I would suggest watching an interview with Rosen. He really comes off poorly, to me at least. It's incredibly important to win the locker room if you're a QB and folks think he will have a tough time doing that. He also doesn't have a huge frame and has had some injury problems, so people think he will get hurt in the NFL.

"Trust the process" is not winning at all costs. It's being smart about building for now and the future. It's trading Sammy for a 2nd round pick (not "nobody") and trading Dareus because his cap figure was disgusting. This thread needs to die. Zay had a bad first season, so did Terrell Owens, Jerry Rice, Wes Welker, Joe Horn, etc... some WRs take time. Calling him a bust already is ridiculous.

Great thread, thank you. Really enriching. I hope Beane reads this so you and him can be on the same page with this hot info.

I'm thinking we might be looking at SEC guys, considering our offensive coordinator coached in the SEC last year. I'd be looking for Daboll connections, not connections from guys far removed from the college world.

2 years, 10 mil for a young QB with upside. At worst a veteran backup. Wow. Beane. Wow.

Sammy Watkins - I was wrong........
Rigotz replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I assure you that nobody remembers what your said, or cares. Congrats to Sammy on a big contract. Congrats to us for stealing a 2nd round pick from the Rams for a player that overvalued himself out of town.- 88 replies

The Process - Now We Know What It Is
Rigotz replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Man ... why does it always have to be TANK or SUPERBOWL with every thread. They're trying to build through the draft. That's what they have always said and that's what they're doing. No tanking, no mortgaging the future. -
Per ESPN Bills very likely to persue Dolphins SUH
Rigotz replied to 17 Josh Allen's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Classic ESPN just seeing a team with a need and not knowing anything about the organization. Beane and McDermott won't sign a guy that cleats other players in the head. -
Just giving this one bump up. I’ve seen a few Bridgewater threads lately, good to see this is picking up steam. Seems like an even better move with Tyrod gone now.
