  1. Exactly, like Orlando Pace. ...wait
  2. I'd really hate to see us spend anything above a 4th round pick on any RB this year.
  3. I'd say there's almost zero chance we sign him. He is the opposite of a character guy.
  4. None of this is Beane or McDermott's fault. Whaley made all of the stupid free agent signings that counted against the compensatory formula and voided out our 3rd and 4th round picks. By the time Beane and McDermott came in, they were saddled with a the decision between cutting several integral players while in the playoff hunt or sticking it out and pushing for the playoffs. They stuck it out and we made the playoffs. Remember? Cool post though.
  5. The counter-point is ... when a player is a dominant force inside, defenses adjust and their stats take a hit. Haven't watched the Panthers much, but you'd bet he was doubled and schemed against significantly after a monster first year.
  6. I've seen a lot of mock drafts that have us getting the fourth best or fifth best QB in the draft by staying at #21. But that doesn't really seem realistic. Lets look at the teams ahead of us: 1. Browns - Definitely need a QB 2. Giants - Definitely need a QB 5. Broncos - Definitely need a QB 6. Jets - Definitely need a QB 11. Dolphins - I could see them taking a QB (Tannehill is Meh) 12. Bengals - I could see them taking a QB (Dalton is Meh) 15. Cardinals - Definitely need a QB 17. Chargers - I could see them taking a QB (Rivers is old) And lets not forget about the Saints and Steelers, who could trade up a few spots because Brees and Ben have what... 1-2 years left? So ... that's 8 teams in front of us and 2 behind that probably need QBs. Maybe Keenum / Cousins / Bridgewater fill two or three openings ... but ... That doesn't exactly leave us with a top choice. What do you guys think?
  7. The arrogance of that girl smiling when the ball went up in the air like she EXPECTED the hail mary to work... ....the pain is just delicious.
  8. Anybody saying we will draft a Center 1st round doesn't know anything about Groy or the Bills.
  9. Here's the question you need to ask yourself... Do the Giants value Saquan Barkley more than basically ANY OTHER PLAYER, PLUS an extra first round pick? Because, I guarantee you the Broncos and Jets at pick 5 and 6 would trade an extra 2019 first rounder to move up to the #2 spot and take a QB. It would make sense for both sides and load up the Giants for years... plus they would still get the best player in the draft outside of Barkley and QB's, given Pick 1, 2, and like 3 or 4 would end up being a QB or Barkley.
  10. Can we please ban SaviorPeterman? How many fake stories and terrible threads does somebody have to start before we get serious about removing them...
  11. I'm surprised to see fans clamoring for Alex Smith when there's a 25 year old QB out there who threw for 3,000 yards and made the pro bowl within his first two seasons. Oh, and if his contract isn't tolled, he doesn't cost us the 2nd round or 3rd round pick that we would have to give up for Alex Smith. Higher upside... we get to keep ALL of our picks ....why is nobody talking about Teddy Bridgewater?
  12. Here’s the only question you have to ask yourselves... Why would a rock star with zero ties to Buffalo keep the team in Buffalo when he can make significantly higher profit elsewhere? He all of a sudden cares about the city of Buffalo like the Pegulas do... so much that he’s willing to take a LOSS financially on them? F you Bon Jovi, you snake.
  13. I thought Romo was great before Romo knew he was great. Saw him warming up his vocal chords in pre-game announcements and knew he would be the one.
  14. I love defensive battles as well. This wasn't a defensive battle. This was two quarterbacks missing open wide receivers.
  15. Alex Smith is garbage and if you want him to be your QB, then please don’t complain about Tyrod. They are both sub-par. We all understand the real point of your thread. Alex Smith is terrible.
  16. Sorry about that! Got excited and forgot. Edited out.
  17. Thanks for the choke job Chiefs! I believe that number is locked in whether the Bills win or lose. We might flip positions with them if we lose, but will still secure pick 21. So, we officially traded our 11th overall pick for Tre White and the 20th overall pick.
  18. Oh. My. God. Yes, bring that guy back please. I don't want to see any celebration from him when we score. I just want to see it awkwardly stand there.
  19. welp, this got weird fast.
  20. This question is already answered. Dareus had a toxic contract that was going to sink our team. We somehow found a way to trade that contract and still get a draft pick out of it. That's a long term win and long term wins are the only thing I care about.
  21. I get it if you're not excited about breaking a 17 year curse and making the playoffs.... Maybe draft picks are your thing? Oh, we somehow accumulated an extra 1st and 2nd and many late round picks. Or... maybe cap space is your thing? Oh, we unloaded our worst contract and will have a ton of space for next year. Hmm... maybe, losing is your thing?
  22. - Broke a 17 year playoff drought. - Hired a new, young, bright Head Coach and GM. - Acquired an extra 1st round pick, an extra 2nd round pick, an extra 5th round pick, and an extra 6th round pick. - Dumped Marcel Dareus's toxic contract and freed up a ton of cap space by not overpaying for others. - Acquired Kelvin Benjamin and will have him under contract next year. - Seemingly nailed our 1st round rookie pick and possibly others (Dawkins? Milano? Zay?) - Stayed in Buffalo (don't take this for granted). 2018 will bring our first playoff game of the millennium. Where would you rather be than right here, right now?
  23. This is a dumb argument. Packers went from one of the best teams in the league to one of the worst when Rogers got hurt. Colts went from best team in the league to first overall pick when Peyton Manning got hurt. A great QB can win you Super Bowls and playoffs for DECADES. Are there exceptions? Sure. Carr had a bad year and Stanford has never been Elite. Do I want to swing for the fences and hope to lock in the single most important position on the field for decades? Of course I do. If you’re not thinking that way, you are dumb. Period.
