  1. I think we just don't want to see it in non-essential situations. People are worried that what happened to Cam Newton physically could happen to Josh over time if he takes too many hits. It's a fair comparison to be worried about because it's a similar body type and running style.
  2. I disagree with this. A 5th for Cody Ford is good value regardless of their backup. They can always sign a guy who doesn't make final cuts if Mancz is really hurt badly.
  3. Based on the reaction your post got, I'd say you need to take a look in the mirror bud. It's ridiculous to take any GM and say "he stinks at making picks in the ____ round" .... take a look at the body of work. He got Gabe Davis and Taron Johnson in the 4th. Does that mean he's exclusively good at drafting in the 4th? He got Josh Allen and Ed Oliver in the 1st. Does that mean he's good at the 1st round but not the 2nd? How can you complain so much about the guy that turned our team from a 20 year drought to perennial playoff contender and Super Bowl favorite? Cheer up.
  4. You’re not looking at this the right way. Yes, he was a 2nd round pick and we figured out that he’s not good enough to start pretty quickly. It was a miss and every GM misses. Every GM doesn’t, however, get value back for their missed picks. Usually, you just have to cut guys when you miss. That makes this a win.
  5. Just imagine… a rookie struggling to learn an entirely new playbook and system… we should cut him. Pretty sure they said the same thing about Spencer Brown past year along with Ja’Marr Chase and the vast majority of other ROOKIES.
  6. Of all the QB/WR combos to be afraid of... you pick this one? Herbert to Keenan Allen and Mike Williams? Burrow to Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins? sheeeeeiiiit, I'd even give you Russ Wilson to Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton. Instead you pick a 33 year old WR who hasn't been healthy in years and a 45 year old QB. Cool.
  7. It's crazy that my post is getting so much hate. Take the blinders off. Aaron Rodgers threw the same amount of touchdowns as Josh last year and only had 4 interceptions (vs 15 for Allen). Was it a one year thing? No, he threw 5 in 2020 and 4 in 2019... with more touchdowns. He also has a Super Bowl win and multiple league MVPs. Mahomes has an MVP and a Super Bowl win and has beaten Josh consistently in the playoffs. Like it or not, people judge QBs based on how many Super Bowls they win along with their career production. It's the reason nobody thinks of Peyton Manning as the greatest of all time, but everybody says that about Brady. Nobody does that for Defensive Tackles or Defensive Ends. It's a QB statistic and it matters. Josh will get there, but saying that he's already there is ludicrous.
  8. When did Rob Johnson win his league MVP award? And I never said it’s the only credential that matters… both of those guys have a Super Bowl and a league MVP AND the same production as Allen across MORE seasons. Lets just be happy to have the guy that we have. There’s no need to go full blown homer every time someone asks you who’s the best this or that.
  9. At this point, nobody should be voting for Josh Allen above Pat Mahomes. Hate to say it, but our guy doesn't have an MVP or a Super Bowl. You need to put Qbs in front of him who DO have those credentials and similar impact on the game. My personal list: 1 Pat Mahomes 2 Aaron Rodgers 3 Aaron Donald 4 Josh Allen 5 TJ Watt 6 Myles Garrett 7 Travis Kelce 8 Cooper Kupp 9 Derrick Henry 10 Jalen Ramsey
  10. Either you have no idea what defensive scheme the Bills play (Roquon, Edmunds, and Milano would never be on the field together) ... or you think trading a 1st round pick for a backup is a good idea. If the Bills made this trade ... and they probably won't because Edmunds is a team captain ... then it would be a player swap plus maybe a late rounder.
  11. In before this is merged with the other Mongo thread on page 1, but to reiterate my sentiments from the other thread: Best wishes Mongo and Bobby. Not going to miss either of you.
  12. I'll go with a two year wonder who isn't mentioned often enough as such. Takeo Spikes. Absolute beast his first 2 years in Buffalo, then tore his achilles in week 3 of his third year and never was the same again. Certainly not his own fault, but that was tough contract after he went down. Meanwhile, his 2004 stats (OLB): 5 interceptions 2 pick 6's 18 passes defensed 4 forced fumbles 3 sacks 98 tackles 1st team all-pro
  13. 3 pages of comments and nobody has talked about BIG PAT WILLIAMS yet. Undrafted free agent, absolute brick wall. Wish we didn’t let him go to Minny because he continued to be a beast there, just like Winfield. And while we’re in the drought era, can’t believe this man wasn’t mentioned yet either…. FRED JACKSON! Another UDFA who embodied everything good about the team.
  14. Well said! My theory on “Sully” is he’s actually a decent writer, but has worked so hard to brand himself as a curmudgeon that now he can’t get out of his own way when the city is experiencing success. What a sad existence… almost poetic.
  15. Doug Martin - Muscle Hamster Maurice Jones Drew - never called Muscle Hamster ... but he was definitely called Mojo or MJD.
  16. Might be a good player, but these type of guys get you in trouble with personal fouls when it hurts the most. We finally have a great locker room culture. You'll never see McDermott draft a guy who's going to start fights with his own team daily.
  17. Beat all of you by 30 minutes! Suck it!
  18. Poyer should have been more specific when he said he wanted an extension. ….. sorry 😏
  19. I'm glad you started this topic, because I wasn't sure where else to post this. Coaches are always going to feed you BS. Sometimes they say things just to motivate players. Sometimes they say things to drive up their value. You know who I trust? The players. They talk openly. In Jordan Poyer's interview with Tyreek Hill he says flat out "I see me a Micah as the quarterbacks of our defense." This smells like coach-speak BS to me.
