This OL is not built to man block A-B-C gap plays ever. So factor in the lack of speed from Moss & Singletary and you're done. I wanted Breida to be at least considered as a week 1 starter but Sean and all his infinite offensive wisdom felt otherwise. Breida should never have sat all those weeks. I also like the idea of giving Williams some snaps. McClap is stubborn and he'll never do it.

And there lies the problem with this soft team. Sean has too many soft spots for certain underperforming players. While guys like Davis, Breida and Bates sit on the bench. I've never been wowed by his personnel decisions. Look how long it took him to dump Peterman. Get tougher with these guys and lose the soft spot. End the penalties or you run. End the Instagram practices or you run. Soft is as soft does.

Week 12: Bills at Saints on Thanksgiving
LABILLBACKER replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is true. As much as I'd like Star & Spencer in there, we are not facing a marquee QB or RB. No more excuses. Go out and execute. Punch someone in the mouth. You don't like so many calling the team soft then do something about it. No hero ball Josh. Take everything they give you. -
That looks about right. We'll be lucky to limp our way to 10 wins. No fixing the OL in the short term.

Yeah because we play so well in bad weather..... -
Does Allen miss having Barkley in the room?
LABILLBACKER replied to Richmond_Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
The only Barkley he's missing is Saquon. Fix this terrible OL. Find a real RB and stop expecting Josh to play hero ball all day. Stop being stubborn Dabs and tweek your damn scheme. -
I'm done with McKenzie. He had fumbling issues before he was promoted to FT returner. Get Stevenson in there and see what he can do?

If this team had balls they wouldn't be soft. -
Yay.....6-5

Yup....the answer is as simple as this ^...It wouldn't surprise me if McD goes shopping for a different OC. One that values a strong OL and some semblance of a run attack.

Who is the Bills Joc Pederson?

This is the winning answer. -
All excellent points Thurman. I have no clue why Daryl has regressed. But at least he's decent at RG. We should be somewhat grateful for landing Brown considering he's the only good olineman that came out of our draft. Cole's days might be numbered but hopefully he heals enough to bounce back. We are now experiencing exactly what the Chiefs dealt with 6 weeks ago. Opponents have the exact recipe to drastically slow down 17. Without better run blocking everything shuts down. And losing Star +Tremaine up the middle must have lit up Taylor's eyes. Severe adjustments will have to be made. Stop being soft and start punching people in the mouth.

I am not a ESPN fan but Steven A had it right
LABILLBACKER replied to Sharky7337's topic in The Stadium Wall
His schtick is old but it is funny listening to 2 grown men shouting over each other saying absolutely nothing. You're right, this simply comes down to physicality, determination and trench talent. All of which we have very little of right now. The Jags game sums up this season. It will get fixed but not till next year. And don't be shocked if Daboll is gone. -
Week 12: Bills at Saints on Thanksgiving
LABILLBACKER replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Something is going to come to a head. I was very skeptical Daboll would be snatched up last year as a HC. And sure enough no one wanted him. I'm not asking McD to turn the Bills into some run first offense. But without an effective and efficient run game, Josh doesn't stand a chance. I would welcome a closed door discussion between Daboll and McD. -
Maybe we needs the "Bickering Bills"?
LABILLBACKER replied to Billsfanatixs's topic in The Stadium Wall
We need something. Someone on this team to step up as a leader? Someone to get in someone's face. Maybe we can rent Brady & Belichick for a week. I honestly can't think of 1 player on this team that fits that description? -
11/22 MNF: NY Giants at Tampa Bay

Evans hamstring.....too bad -
Its funny how just a month ago half this board wanted Josh to throw on every down. Without a good run game Josh will continue to struggle as the NFL has figured us out. There's no cavalry of new olineman to swoop in and save the day. Spencer will help but its only a temporary bandaid. We will only go as far as the OL allows us. Besiides Daboll is not a "run strong" OC. Looks like we're not going very far.

Is McDermott a Wartime Consigliere?
LABILLBACKER replied to DallasBillsFan1's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't think Sean has a clue how to evaluate offensive talent. That's up to Beane, Daboll and the scouts. His team may have wasted a couple of 3rd round RB picks but because they're 3rd rounders, they'll get more time to prove themselves. Kinda like Ford? -
The Ford Report - Week 11, Colts v. Bills, 11/21/21
LABILLBACKER replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'd go 50-50 Breida/Motor. Keep Breida outside the D gap. You cannot ignore his speed and he has contributed these last 2 games. I've never been a Singletary fan but you can't ignore that 5.0 ypc. That currently ranks 6th in the NFL among RB's with 75 or more carries. Moss can wait for an occasional goal line or injury depth. The zone blocking concepts must change. Daboll can no longer rely on passing 80% of the time. Go more man blocking. Brown and Feliciano returning will help some. -
These coaches refuse to punish players for terrible play or penalties. Instead of giving Bates a chance just keep schlepping Ford or Boettger out there. As soon as McKelvttrick fumbles after tripping over himself, I pull him. But no, just trott him back out there. Changes have to come....discipline has to begin....no more Instagram practices.

There's so many factors going into this Bills slump. Daboll just hasn't been the same since losing his grandparents. Losing key players to C19 doesn't help. Reading too much of your "hype" news clippings factors in. And our 3 new young DE's are still learning. The OL doesn't have the skillset to make our 3 mediocre RB's any better. And since the Steelers loss, teams have the blueprint. It will be a very telling story as to how these last 7 games play out?
