Calling all RB and OL Gurus, Your Input Please
LABILLBACKER replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
We have 5 finesse olineman. We need 5 road graders. Brown is the closest guy we have as a mauler. It's been so long I don't even know what play action looks like anymore. -
Perfectly said....with JA we're 11th in rushing...without him we avg 79 yards per game with our 2 blind mice.....29th in the NFL. Most of Josh's yardage are on "run for your life" scrambles. Both our OL & RB's are terrible. And Daboll knows it. I just doubt there's a "shuffling of the OL" solution here before season ends. Brown going back to RT and DW staying at RG should help some. Maybe try Bates at LG? Josh was due for a bad game and his front 5 did him no favors.

Bobby Johnson: The Source of O-Line Issues (in my opinion)
LABILLBACKER replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Morse's play was commendable. But there were multiple atrocious plays by the other 4. Brown can't come back fast enough. Slide Williams to RG permanently. Put Bates at LG. Ford & Boettger need to sit. -
Sean McDermott press conference 11-10
LABILLBACKER replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm not....too many cliches from him. Find better olineman and this thing gets fixed. -
Take JA out of the equation on running stats. Just use our 2 primary backs. Then where do we rank? Half the time Josh is running for his life. Our terrible OL has already collapsed. I love the idea of occassionally using Josh as a running weapon but Daboll uses him constantly because he knows our OL/RB combo is worthless. One of these plays has going to get popped and be out for the season.

ESPN Rest of Season Predictions
LABILLBACKER replied to First Round Bust's topic in The Stadium Wall
I can live with Morse and a weakened Dawkins, but Ford, Feliciano, Boettger and Williams need to be replaced or at least benched. Play Bates somewhere, play Doyle, play Douglas, I don't care. Just stop trotting these guys who can't run block or pass protect anymore. Spencer hurry up and return. No way we go 7-2 in these last 9. -
When you stick 2 extremely mediocre RB's behind a terrible OL it probably won't matter who's back there. I screamed this all last year. Without a better run game, we Immediately became one dimensional. Teams have now figured out how to slow down both Josh & Mahomes. Finesse olineman won't cut it anymore. We need road graders. Was it me or did it not look like Daryl literally dosed off on that snap.

I blame your 2nd grade teacher for teaching you how to spell. I blame BEANE for only acquiring 2 Olineman last spring. I blame McD for not being a better "in game" coach. I blame Josh for having the audacity to take a day off from being Superman. I blame the OL for being lazy. I blame myself for wearing the wrong Bills shirt. I blame Aaron Rodgers for being a jerk.

The Bills are 0-3 when Josh throws 40+ attempts. Our OL has regressed, refs hate us and the cover 2 is catching up to Josh and Mahomes. A wise man once said " if a player can do anything, he tries to do everything".....Josh needs help.....

All 3 first half unsportsmanlike conduct calls on Tre, Williams and Klein are confirmed phantom.

[Edited title] Jake Kumerow to Covid list
LABILLBACKER replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think we have this guy named Gabriel Davis who caught a bunch of tds last year. He might be available? -
The answer is: 1. Draft/sign road grade OL 2. Find better RB 3. Insert running game 4. Force D to stack the box 5. Reserect the play action .....the cover 2 will disappear..... Cowherd rehashed an old saying describing what's currently happening to Mahomes & Allen this season. "Players that can do anything try to do everything ". That's the hero ball we see Josh resort to. It's a tragic fact that Daboll has to rectify.

Mongo has been playing like Felicia..... I just never want to see Williams play RT ever again. If you want to experiment with him at RG fine, but he was a joke last Sunday. Damn near got Josh killed.

Bobby Johnson: The Source of O-Line Issues (in my opinion)
LABILLBACKER replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall
I like Bates and marvel at why he doesn't play more. He's gotta be better than Boettger. Williams is making way too much to be standing there watching guys destroy Josh. Next year we're going to see a full engine (OL) overhaul. Bobby Johnson is a TE's coach, not an OL coach. He too needs to be upgraded along with larger, stronger road graders. Then go out a find a real RB. -
That performance by our Bills doesn't deserve a well thought out post like you and Shaw give every week. The Bills took last week off, so should you.

Has NFL "ownership" of gambling sites corrupted the league
LABILLBACKER replied to Gisele's topic in The Stadium Wall
The NFL, their officials and the element of advertising and gambling has been corrupted for years. It's refreshing to finally see more and more people acknowledging this reality. Advertising and gambling revenue can be steered in any direction from any game. Refs used to be better at disguising it, but seeing Corrente last night screw up may have exposed them. We've experienced more flags and bad calls this year than ever. It won't be long when gambling kiosks are available inside stadiums. -
I agree. I've seen enough of Moss and Singletary. Neither of which have the speed or vision necessary to run behind a terrible OL. We have the talent to win 10 games but because of this OL nightmare we'll have to be patient and wait for Beane to go nuts this spring replacing players like Ford, Feliciano and Williams. We need new RB's and Road Grader olineman.

I guarantee you he'll get a shot at a 65 yarder. I used to think the replay was the biggest downer to keeping a nice flow to the game. Not lately, it all about these out of control refs.

Referee Tony Corrente corrupt as *****!!!
LABILLBACKER replied to Bubba Gump's topic in The Stadium Wall
I've been saying this for over 25 years. Do you not remember the infamous Seattle Pittsburgh SB. The league will always take care of its favorite blue blood organizations. And those that ignore it are just naive. -

Not this market nor this lifetime. What Corrupt Corrente did will be talked about for some time. -
NFL Officiating is an abomination for a 18B product
LABILLBACKER replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall
The NFL loves its blue blood organizations. The Bears never stood a chance. Corrente was the one who moved into Marsh. -

LABILLBACKER replied to Bubba Gump's topic in The Stadium Wall
The top Blue Blood teams will always be taken care of by this league. That's the way it's always been. Nothing has changed. -
