Are Fan Expectations Too High for Keon Coleman?
LABILLBACKER replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
If he hits 700 / 6 tds I'd be ecstatic. He'll obviously never be a burner, but if he continues to put in the work on his route tree, he should hit 1000 / 8tds by year 3. -
How many wins do the Bills get without Josh?
LABILLBACKER replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm just excited we got @DaBillsFanSince1973 to say 2 words. -
RB and WR markets are actually insane.
LABILLBACKER replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Mostly agree...if James was a true 3 down back with better blocking skills and the project-ability to be a 1500 yd rushing rb, then yes give him $15/yr on a 3 or extension. There are not 15-20 guys out there that can give you 18 tds in a season. But realistically he ranks around 5-7 in NFL Rb's. And based on current salaries, that puts him in the $10-12/yr range. That KC play (TD) did show an unbelievable level of heart. Obviously I'm very torn over this issue. I want him payed fairly based on his production. But not over-payed at the risk of losing that cap $ toward an actual capable pass rusher. -

I'm having a hard time visualizing Josh tearing an ACL over a putt. -
Network pricing to watch all NFL games in 2025
LABILLBACKER replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
OK, this thread ran off the rails. Someone just tell me the most cost effective way of watching the most Bills games. I'm just not sure I'm doing the YouTube route this year. -
And then throw in the best pass rusher in NFL history. Even with Mahomes lurking around, he would've taken the Bills to at least 2+ SB's surrounded by that kind of talent.
-
Yup, compared to Josh I have to agree. You take away 1990 and Jim's playoff stats are pretty bad. With 1990 included, his rating is still a terrible 72.3....not to mention Jim was surrounded by HOFers. Josh is flying solo in some regards.
-
Not any of the games....I'm talking about games that matter. High leverage games like afcc, SB's or any playoff game against KC in the Allen era. We don't have a gamewrecker on defense anywhere? Sure Taron and Carlton made nice plays but did they translate to a championship?...No! Historically, the main reason we've failed to win a championship during the 90's and now remains defensive limitations. Too bad we don't have a young Bruce right now to compliment Josh.

Lets see what happens? Doubtful Spector survives the final cut and there's about a 90% chance this is Milano's last season.

Anticipated changes in philosophy/scheme in 2025?
LABILLBACKER replied to TFBillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I only have 2 requests this season in defensive scheme. Play more man and find a way of making your blitzer more effective. If we accomplish this, we can beat Joe, Lamar and Patrick. These are the only teams that can challenge us in the AFC. -
I think the important thing to realize in this very optimistic thread is both sides ( journey / destination) have valid arguments. Neither side is wrong or whinning. @folz makes amazing philosophical arguments to validate the importance of not letting the heartbreak consume you. As we all have experienced over the years, being a Bills fan is a roller coaster ride of emotions. Both joy, satisfaction and crushing heartbreak. Obviously we all want to finally get to that destination. But in 58 years we have come up short. Maybe I'm just too old and "old-school" to appreciate enjoying the ride (journey). The Bills accomplishments are not meaningless because we haven't won a Lombardi. I've gotten caught up in several discussions with @Augie about the importance of not letting the loses consume you. It's ok to be entertained. Maybe someday soon I can more embrace this montra. Being fans means you can cheer for your team but you can’t control the outcome. It's gotta come deep down from the players and coaches.

That's also a great point. Since 2020 we've played in 12 playoff games. We've given up a grand total of 290 points. Thats 24.16 per game. Josh 9 times out of 10 will carry this team offensively and hold up his end of the bargain. But once we stop playing afce teams and the playoff caliber rises, our defense falters. It’s ok to enjoy our regular season magnificence. I'm just disappointed our defense has yet to rise up other than one 17-3 Ravens game. Is this a form of wasting Josh’s "once in a generation" talents?....yes it is.
-
Exactly....why are we celebrating a stat(s) that translates to nothing in the playoffs? Everyone knows we dominate the regular season. But we still can't close out tight playoff games against Cincy or KC. Until we find a way to cross this threshold, our ultimate finish will be predictable every year.

Who was invited to Josh and Hailee's wedding?
LABILLBACKER replied to Willie West's topic in The Stadium Wall
I just want to hear more about Larry David crashing the party.... -
1. Forrest 2. Bishop 3. Hamlin
-
So i guess that means AJ will require 2 upticks. Who cares, either way it's the truth.
-
So in another 8 years Tremaine should make this list.

I became a Bills fan on January 28th, 1969. Part of being a Bills fan is embracing and navigating the heartbreak, with the spectacular moments. That's why once Josh leads us to our first Lombardi, it will make everything worth it. And to those that jumped on the JA17/ Bills bandwagon in 2018, enjoy this legendary ride. You may not see it again in a lifetime.
-
Why do I get the feeling that the Bills legacy during the Allen era will be to perpetually sign fa's at both wr & de. They just struggle to draft a game wrecker at either position.
-
Yup, it was a swing and a miss panic signing based on the lack of production from Basham & Epenesa. It almost worked out until it didn't.
-
Bills voted to ban it because they realized they were inconsistent running it. The remaining AFCE teams are just too stupid to realize the benefit of banning it. It will definitely be banned next season so enjoy your last year of the rugby tush push.

They haven't missed any opportunity and choosing them this camp was very calculated. The drama of having to possibly cut a "heart stopped" survivor will make for ratings gold.
