Wide Receiver Train Full Speed Ahead- CHOO CHOO!
LABILLBACKER replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
This organization prides itself on all this culture crap yet ignores Diggs locker room cancer drama in Minnesota and misses an opportunity at Jefferson. -
Wide Receiver Train Full Speed Ahead- CHOO CHOO!
LABILLBACKER replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
Look at all the money we wasted on low to mid tier offensive players like Hines, Harty, Sherfield, Palmer, Samuel, Crowder, MVS, etc...etc. Why doesn’t Beane stop with this ridiculous and FAILED strategy of acquiring bargain basements and get Josh a bonified WR1. We had no problem paying Diggs? -
Wide Receiver Train Full Speed Ahead- CHOO CHOO!

Olave or Waddle...anything else is just repeating previous mistakes. And it still chaps my ass to think all Beane would've had to give Seattle is a 2nd round pick for DK....let that sink in when you're thinking about TJ Sanders. -
I just ran the projected health-o-meter sim and it predicts a 92% chance we won't be healthy entering the playoffs.

Roster Support over the past three years (Beane)
LABILLBACKER replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not only do we spend all this cap money on lower to mid tier players, but then we have no clue how to incorporate them into our offense. So as far as money goes, everybody is eating.....they're just not producing. -
The Athletic - some grim stats (new Tim Graham piece)
LABILLBACKER replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah maybe we beat NE but I don't see this team going beyond 10 wins. Too much mediocrity on this roster. Too many soft injury prone players. Too much pressure on Josh demanding that he "does it all". No one too blame but our beloved McB. -
....and besides, a 5th round pick is more valuable to the Bills than any pick in the first 3 rounds.
-
That still doesn't excuse Brady for having no answer to the constant blitz or pulling Cook out on 3rd down. We're finding out that both Brady & Babich are not great making in game adjustments on the fly. We don't have hot reads embedded in this offense. If I'm a DC, I'm blitzing Josh the rest of the season.

This whole McDermott / Beane experience has been diddly poo. -
Roster Support over the past three years (Beane)
LABILLBACKER replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
The only way I see this team turning around this start is to trade for Chris Olave. Pray Hairston and Hoecht can have an impact. And the coaches have to be willing to make substantial adjustments to both offense & defense. And if all that wasn't enough, the injuries must settle down. -

What's disgusting is Beane hit on only 1 serviceable player (Walker) out of 16 over the span of 2 full drafts. Beane and his clown show scouts are not long for this team. -
The obsession with turning Josh Allen into a pocket QB
LABILLBACKER replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
Close your eyes and imagine a team where Andy Reid is Josh's HC. All the motion, misdirection, speed receivers. It's a terrifying thought to think how dominant he'd be. Now open your eyes and stare at McD clapping...🤮. -
His personality (the good soldier) keeps him from ever complaining or playing hardball. I'm sure he's incredibly frustrated seeing Cook come off the field or wrs incapable of separation. I guarantee you it's grating on him. He's a human being, sick and tired of waiting for McB to help him either on offense or defense.

There's literally only 1 organization in all of the NFL we can draw players from (Carolina). All because these guys can't evaluate talent beyond their "familiarity" boundaries. That has got to be the sorriest strategy I've ever seen.
-
.....then why did this knucklehead hand pick Beane to be his GM? I think Andy knew a long time ago Sean's deficiencies in evaluating assistants and players. This mess is equally on both of them.

Why doesn't McDermott call the Defensive plays full time??
LABILLBACKER replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
He absolutely must take over. Clearly the 2nd half reflected inproved defensive play calling. I know he wants to remain in the roll of HC but he doesn't have that luxury anymore. I don’t understand why he can't just do what a litany of other HC's have done. Sean if that's your expertise than lets see it. -
Exactly, Brady is deluting the offensive talent by spreading out targets to 11 different players. Even though 4-5 of these guys shouldn't even be seeing the ball unless someone gets injured. Identify your top receivers and target them. Stop wasting targets on 3rd string players. Kincaid, Shakir, Palmer, Cook and Coleman (last resort) are getting all the looks. And whoever we pu at the trade deadline can take Keon's targets. This offense shouldn't be about quantity (everybody eats) but QUALITY. The same strategy should be practiced with our DL. Let Oliver and Walker play 70% snaps.

Hire Ryan Fitzpatrick as a part time consultant
LABILLBACKER replied to Figster's topic in The Stadium Wall
Rather than turning yellow snow into Perrier, why don't we ask Ryan if he's willing to help fix our offense. No hot reads No Cook on 3rd down No WR room .....I'm sure he'd have some brilliant suggestions. -
Completely agree....Josh is an athletic freak like no other in NFL history. But you can never compare him to those other guys when it comes to split second "cerebral decisions". That’s where your coaching support staff have to step in...identify this issue and work with Josh on hot reads. Even that last play v KC on that blitz, he had nowhere to go with it. And I think we only needed 5 or 6 yards for the 1st. You know ATL blitzes constantly. This isn't rocket science.
-
I don’t know if I've actually witnessed us use a hot read during a blitz in the last several years. Even dating back to Daboll. Tom Brady made a career of ensuring if a blitz was coming, he had a hot read to throw to. These coordinators just act like "well Josh will just scramble out of it"....you cannot run an offense that way.

Who is the Bills' "Third Down Back"?
LABILLBACKER replied to Dan Darragh's topic in The Stadium Wall
Somebody needs to sit down with Brady and explain to him that this team has only 2 elite players. And they're both on offense. I don't even care anymore if Jimbo struggles some in pass blocking. Make him a 3 down RB and start diversifying his play tree. Right now Ty Johnson, Davis and Gilliam are worthless within the structure of our offense.
