11/14/21 Gameday Thread: Bills at Jets First Half
LABILLBACKER replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
What gap. You do realize we absolutely are incapable of A&B gap blocking. We either pitch it outside or throw to the backs outside. -

God, we don't have A gap run blockers. Keep everything outside. -

11/14/21 Gameday Bills at Jets Pregame Thread
LABILLBACKER replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
No he's not. No speed...no burst....poor pass blocking...and we're all well versed in his stone hands. We all know our RB's are incredibly weak but the much bigger issue is fixing our OL. We'll be shopping for different RB's down the road. -

Exactly, we didn't draft him high (over an olineman) just to sit on the bench. Start getting him reps. -

Whether we win today will depend on the OL. If they decide to show up and compete then we should win. -
59th for Singletary sounds about right. You stick 2 lousy running backs behind our pathetic OL, you're going to be in a world of hurt. And for those that think SUPERJosh can just run or pass on every down, your delusion is not sustainable.

Greg Cosell on the Bills Offense
LABILLBACKER replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Absolutely no argument here. I think we've all known this problem from last year. Now it's worse and magnified. Our RB's are garbage but our OL are even worse. And only Josh's ridiculous athleticism has covered up this issue. Can't ignore it anymore Sean. -
What prompted the change to our offense, and other questions?

This is what made Belichick so damn good. He made adjustments constantly. Not after a season or a game or even a half. Sometimes it came after a drive. I think teams had plenty of tape from late last year to start using this cover2 shell. They already had the data that our OL & running game were weak. KC used a version of the shell last year and other teams are jumping onboard. And it's working. Until we upgrade the OL this will continue to be our challenge this year. -
Ike was terrible last week. 1st and goal on the 3 and we call Moss's number. Boett's man completely blows him up stopping Zach in the backfield. We're dealing with multiple people who need to be replaced. Ford, Feliciano, Boettger. Maybe Williams? Dawkins is playing like Covid. I'd love to see Bates get a chance but our stubborn coaches see otherwise.

Haynes can't possibly be worse than Ford Lincoln Mercury.

Oh Sammy...I don't miss you. Pathetic effort here.

Saying goodbye to Sammy Watkins was the beginning of the Process. All Hail the Process. Now find better Olinemen boys. -

Last year our OL was weak but Josh was able to athletically camouflage the obvious flaws in our finesse OL. This year our OL has actually regressed and gotten worse. Teams can now totally ignore the run game and play constant cover 2 shell. Brown and Knox will help to some degree this week but we're a long way from fixing the OL. Yes our RB's are incredibly mediocre but the OL is the #1 problem. -
So am I. NBA...everyone just shoot 3's.....MLB...everyone just hit dingers.....NFL....throw the ball on every down So just like baseball players use a shift, so do NFL players if they know every single play is a pass. Daboll's biggest problem is not whether teams have figured out his spread offense. It's figuring out what Olineman will play where?

Feliciano to IR; Jamil Douglas signed to 53
LABILLBACKER replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
At this point I'll take Ritchie off the streets. I don't think Daboll has a clue what OL sequence is the best right now? That's why we've struggled lately. -

The OL has to show me some heart Sunday. Brown should help. Our defense has been money. Figure out the cover 2 shell and take what they give us. If we can turn things around it will be us and Tenn. in the AFCC game. And probably Rams and Brady on the other side. -
