  1. Honestly the simplest explanation is usually the right one. I think McDermott got so caught up in Josh's game winning td that everything after that got butchered and mismanaged. I don't think he had any plan for the kickoff and the 2 defensive formations were like a drunk guy just screamed "prevent"..."prevent".....We've known for quite some time that McD is great with his culture/process philosophy. But his actual in game decisions are abysmal. As for Frazier, he's too stoic, conservative and mediocre for me. I'd love to see us hire Flores as our DC but the good ole boys club won't allow that.
  2. If you struggle to get value with your 1st & 2nd round picks, maybe go the Diggs route and trade the pick for proven young talent.
  3. To get the most out of the "ridiculous optimum version" of Josh, he'll need to get his first championship before his 30th birthday. After 30 you'll see the scrambling version move toward pocket Josh. I strongly doubt he plays past 40 but I can see him getting a 2nd ring in his late 30's. The AFC is so ridiculously loaded with elite qbs that whoever wins the AFC will be strong favorites to win the SB.
  4. So far kinda a C+/B- draft. Groot had that one amazing day but didn't really sustain much. He absolutely has to have a 7-8 sack season at the least this fall. Basham looks slow and more like a 3T than a pass rusher. Spencer needs to get stronger in his legs so guys like Ingram don't toss him to the ground like a little kid. He'll improve at RT. Didn't see enough of Doyle to have an assessment. Stevenson was supposed to be that speed wr and return guy but he was awful and will likely get cut. Wildgoose/Anderson gone. At this point you gotta pray Brown & Rousseau improve. We need a marquee pass rusher in the worst way.
  5. That's probably what they'll do and I'm ok with it. No way he's worth 10/yr. He better enjoy his 12.7 because that's the last penny he gets from the Bills.
  6. No pop up kickoff still pisses me off. Forcing them to burn 4-5 seconds would've changed everything. Then braindead could've run his prevent defense.
  7. Star.....the gift that keeps on giving.
  8. So in other words pretty much everything a LB is expected to do? That ship has sailed and this raw, young talent has had plenty of time to prove himself. If Beane can fleece someone for a 2nd or 3rd pick, do it immediately!
  9. Most if not all NFL teams know his deficiencies. We'd be lucky to get a 3rd round pick and nothing more. And that's only because of his age. He's has 4 full seasons to figure it out and that light bulb never went on.
  10. Considering how much money we've wasted on Star I'd say draft a 1T somewhere. Wouldn't be devastated to go JD @ 25 or Jones day 2.
  11. We're never paying Edmunds what he thinks he's worth. This will be his last season in a Bills uniform. I hope we draft a mid round LB and maybe use a 4th on Araiza? 2 absolutely terrible acquisitions. So we're stuck with them drawing a huge payday as they sit the bench watching Bates & Phillips play. Wonderful.....
  12. Absolutely great interview. Listen to it all. Of course he's not going to call out players or coaches by name. He knows the coaches screwed up. 3 critical play decisions that were made badly. All contributed to that historic loss. As others mentioned too bad you couldn't get him off the tees long enough to mentor AJE or Groot. Wasting that legendary performance by Josh will never stop hurting.
  13. Berrios or Patterson. Whoever is willing to sign under 7M. Both are excellent return guys who can play the slot. We could realistically lose Beasley, McKenzie and Sanders. Berrios led the NFL in K/O returns and 2nd in punt returns.
  14. Thank you for perfectly articulating every single obvious flaw Tremaine has. Now all I need you to do is explain the insanity of why there's still so many blind Edmunds apologists? Does he have that many relatives?
  15. Jordan Davis to replace Star. Not a terrible pick. It could be him or the best CB on the board.
  16. I agree, I think we retain Klein and Williams. Daryl didn't have the best season but he did settle down at RG toward the end. I think the decision on either Beas or Kittrick will be the most compelling story in the offseason. Ford, Feliciano, Star and Haack are gone.
  17. That would be (c) Go back to a true 4-3. Let Klein play the Mike and put Milano and Edmunds on the outside. Tremaine 's basically a glorified zone DB anyway. I know Frazier/McD are obsessed with their 4-2-5 but when you play a run heavy offense like Tenn. or Indy you're forced to go 4-3. I think it's all moot anyway because they're not paying TE 13M after next season. They go in another direction.
  18. Bates owns him.....take Ford & Boett while you're at it.
  19. 1.7 sacks per game with an immobile qb?....yes please, sign him. As long as Dorsey continues to pull the guards on running plays. It worked great for Moror once Bates took over.
  20. He'll always be the greatest RB to play for Buffalo.
  21. Kelly would've just punched him out anyway.
  22. .....oh but he's young.....he's just doing what he's told....instincts are overrated....yada yada....the entire league knows how to exploit him. We'd be lucky to get a 3rd for him. Can't believe we're paying him 12.7 this upcoming season. Such a waste.
  23. I agree with this assessment. I could care less what title he has as long as they collectively coordinate the offense without losing too much of Daboll's base scheme. If Dorsey moves on in a couple years, Brady will be ready to jump in.
  24. Not to mention it saved Leslie the effort to interview.
