  1. Well, I think they probably will lose (I’ve thought that for weeks now) but the good news is they don’t need to win it anymore. The AFC results yesterday have rewarded the Bills for their season thus far and they control their own fate. Win one more game and they’re in. Steelers are a bad matchup for the Bills lack of firepower on offense.
  2. The defense will be fine vs Duck, but make no mistake ; this game is a terrible matchup for the Bills on offense. Steelers D is right there with the Ravens in scoring D and number one in the league in takeaways. That’s Kryptonite for the Bills offense, as they can’t handle stunts or overload pressures and lack playmakers to make you pay outside of J Browns speed. The Bills D is stout, but don’t generate a ton of takeaways and don’t have many return TDs . Look for a low scoring affair where the Bills struggle to reach 20 points and come up a bit short on the road. Josh can’t overcome it on his own. His OL and offensive skill players matter too. They’re not very effective vs pressure defenses.
  3. The offense as currently constructed is just fair to middling. They need playmakers at WR and TE ( Knox’s suspect hands mean he may not be the guy there). That’s a big part of the reason the Bills struggle vs cover zero. Watch the NFL highlight shows and you see WRs and TEs making plays on passes that are just thrown in their general vicinity, much less pinpoint. The Bills don’t have those kind of athletes. They have a nice slot receiver and a good speed wideout , that’s about it. No one scares a team with elite DBs such as the Ravens or Pats. Now, most teams don’t have that kind of quality in the secondary, but if you want to play with the big boys in the playoffs ... So yes, the team is probably a bit ahead of schedule overall but the offense needs more talent. They also need another RB and to figure out how to set up/ sell screens. Until then, they will struggle vs the elite pressure defenses of the league.
  4. No. Either HOU or TEN will be out , Bills in with 1 more win.
  5. No. Titans play HOU twice in final 3 weeks, so if TEN is 11-5 that means HOU 10-6 at best. They would lose Tb to Bills . PIT can be 5 seed at 11-5
  6. Putrid QB play on their part had a lot to do with that win. TEN offense at another level with Tannehill right now.
  7. Yep. I think HOU is a better matchup for the Bills than the Titans are. While Watson is better QB, Bills offense will have better results vs Texans than TEN.
  8. Agreed. I’ve thought this game will be a loss for weeks now, and I’ve seen nothing to make me feel differently about it. Steelers D is worst type of matchup for the Bills offense.
  9. Bills are in with that scenario as was being discussed. AFCS loser is odd team out.
  10. I don’t think the Bills have won a regular season game @PIT. I still think this one is a loss ; it’s a bad matchup. Bills will have to wait until Jets game to punch their playoff ticket. Winning lots of games earlier in the season makes that possible though.
  11. In your scenario, the AFCS title would be resolved first. The Texans would win the South, and PIT would be awarded the 5 seed, BUF would be the 6 seed and TEN eliminated. So yes, win one and in for the Bills.
  12. The Bills should do fine on that end of the matchup. The PIT D ( statistically almost as good as BAL, plus creates tons of turnovers) vs the Bills Offense is worrisome and will be the deciding factor in this game.
  13. I believe HOU loss to DEN plus IND , OAK losses are the factors at work here. If HOU won today, they could have bested Bills at 10-6 due to conference record. TEN or HOU will win division, but the loser would be tossed out by Bills at 10-6.
  14. It would be nice, but the Bills are absolutely awful at setting up/ selling the screen. Gets blown up routinely
  15. Yes,largely because HOU lost to the Broncos today. Bills are in with one more win, period. No, it doesn’t matter if the Titans win out. That would mean they sweep HOU as they play twice in last 3 weeks.
  16. Bills need one more win. They get that luxury from stacking wins all season. Just one more and they’re in. Bills could miss the playoffs IF they don’t win another game, yes. We get it.
  17. Cool. Fitzpatrick did that before too. Doesn’t mean much in the long term.
  18. I’d trade offensive skill position players with TEN all day. They’re big and physical , winning 50/50 balls and the RB is a beast. Nothing finesse about them. Bills are a long way from that on O, I’m afraid.
  19. There are scenarios where they can get in at 9-7, but wouldn’t control destiny with that record. They need one more win, I’d be surprised if they can’t at least beat the Jets.
  20. It’s now true due to HOU, IND, and OAK all losing today. Bills control own destiny. That wasn’t the case last week and most assumed HOU would beat the Broncos. Bills still have to win, but just one more game gets them in. It’s true according to ESPN playoff machine
  21. Only need one win in final 3, even if it’s vs Jets.
  22. Bills clinch with a win, even if it’s in week 17 vs NYJ. That wasn’t the case last week, so HOU losing to DEN plus OAK, IND losing must have changed things. Bills control their destiny, needing just a win in last 3 weeks.
  23. If BUF beats NYJ in week 17 , TEN can’t take Bills spot.
  24. Lol was waiting for the flag on that one
