  1. Yep almost no point in watching wish we were getting a different game. We’ve seen the ending to this movie before.
  2. Oh well. There were many plays left on the field today by the offense . Drops, bad pass pro, etc. pressure was getting through all day, so not going to be too critical of that one play. Went to his best wideout and his mind was made up at that point. They should have made plays earlier in the game. Certainly had opportunities.
  3. D has to keep everything in front of them and not be too eager to make a stop in the backfield. All about discipline today
  4. Go Bills ! Biggest game in OP in years .....Let’s get er done !
  5. Won’t be surprised if Bills D gives up a drive early, then adjusts. It’s been their MO all season. Some of the biggest runs they’ve given up have been early in games. Hopefully they can withstand the early onslaught of offense from BAL and match it with some drives of their own.
  6. Biggest challenge yet this season for the Bills and their coaching staff. 49ers , Pats , and Seahags have failed .A win today will be the team’s most impressive in years , and a sure signal that the rebuild is ahead of schedule. Go Bills! This is definitely going to be a factor today, hopefully it won’t decide the game.
  7. I remember being nervous about Jimbo’s knee. It was the first time he put it to the test after injury vs Giants. We had home field throughout for the first time, but I was a wreck. Chain smoked about 15 cigarettes throughout the game ( yeah those were different times). We were standing the majority of the game , as was the rest of the lower bowl it seemed. Marino was on point though, and I was always worried about him. Couldn’t stand the Dolphins, but grudgingly respected Marino’s ability. Bills offense was hot and pulled away, great game and couldn’t wait for the Championship game the next week. This^^. That team had everything except the big run stuffer to enforce the middle. It absolutely killed them in the Superbowls, including XXV. The defense lost that game more than the offense did. Allowed 40 minutes of possession time to a team with a backup QB; it seemed no Bills defender could make a tackle that day. Sure, the Bills should have run the ball more, but the defense blew that game completely.
  8. There will be a sizable Ravens contingent to be sure, but it will have a negligible impact on the game. The Eagles game had plenty of opposing fans, but had little effect on the result as well. These games are really all about matchups, and the Ravens are a bad matchup for the Bills. They have a very good coaching staff and don’t need a big day passing to win the game. The Bills defense excels against the pass, but isn’t built to stop an old school hat on a hat ground attack. So this will come down to how effective the Bills offense can be at controlling the clock, consistently generating first downs , and scoring touchdowns. Ravens 35-21
  9. It’s the nature of being an NFL kicker. More than any other player, you’re really only as good as your last game. All NFL Ks get in their own head at some point; they’re a strange breed. If Hauschka was on a different team, there’s a good chance he’d have been released already. McD give vets a lot of leeway, but even his patience has to be wearing thin. Hausch is officially on notice from here on out. It’s up to him to solve it. The Bills won’t be able to improve at the position until the offseason, so hopefully he works it out.
  10. As long as the wind doesn’t create another Eagles game scenario. That might not play out for the Bills. I think the dry conditions will be better for the Bills defense than a rain or snow scenario.
  11. Summeral and Madden droned on and put you to sleep imo. Neither captured the excitement of the moment and Maddens shtick got old pretty quick. I know many liked that duo, but to me they were among the worst to listen to.
  12. Al Michaels Ian Eagle Kevin Harlan Jim Nantz Gus Johnson Mike Tirico Legacy all time best picks - Dick Enberg, Marv Albert, Verne Lundquist
  13. Ahh, I missed that. What a dill hole !
  14. No disdain for Jackson by Bills fans. Some of us liked him as a potential draft pick for the Bills if they decided not to move up. Seems like a good kid and I don’t think you’d find many Bills fans who don’t like the guy, and we loved what he did vs Pats. Just not this Sunday, lol.
  15. I do too.Largely for the same reason. Always liked their style and coaching. Must’ve missed whatever the fans did though.
  16. Yeah, he sucks. Love Ian Eagle’s style though. He’s a real pro and brings enthusiasm to the play by play.
  17. Yeah, that was awful. HOU seemed to forget that you need to swarm to the receiver and tackle them as part of the deal. Should have been almost no time left when the Pats got their TD.
  18. Hey there, welcome to the board. First I’ll say I have a lot of respect for Harbaugh and the way that franchise is run. As for predictions, I think this one will be a physical hard fought game and probably close. The Bills will have to match the Ravens coaching with some wrinkles of their own. This one could come down to STs and our kicker is kind of struggling right now. I don’t think you can stop Jackson , just try to limit the damage and be aggressive on offense because TDs will be required. ,Turnover battle will decide the outcome.
  19. Well, the OP said “ some “ will say they are a SB contender. It seemed obvious to me that a lot would say that if those wins happened so that’s why I pointed it out. Was more of a “ correction” than anything else.
  20. Exactly... teams that are not playoff contenders lose to teams like Miami on the road. Going 12 weeks without a stumble here and there is tough. The Bills are a good team on the rise with a young QB still honing his game. They’re not great yet, but they might get there. If the Bills win 10 or 11 games they’ll likely be in the playoffs and will be a threat to win at least a game or two.
  21. If the Bills beat DAL, BAL, PIT, and NE in succession lots of NFL observers will be calling them Super Bowl contenders.
  22. There are ways they can win it, but it’s not entirely in the Bills control. They would need help from other teams that are playing NE down the stretch. Division winners automatically make the playoffs, so it’s possible teams with better records in other divisions could miss out. The NFL emphasizes the importance of division play, so that’s a problem for the Bills in the AFCE with NE.
  23. I think both teams will be motivated regardless of the time slot. The prime time thing will just mean a more raucous crowd and tougher sledding for the Bills if anything. It would be great to beat the Ravens, but I actually think the scenario you described needing the week 17 win is a fairly realistic one. They may or may not need help based on the outcomes of games in weeks 14-16. That mostly hinges on the Titans and Raiders. Steelers are well coached , play good defense and can win with a “ caretaker” at QB.
