  1. I agree as far as the gameplan goes. This game was much more important for the Pats* than the Bills. A Bills win wouldn’t have improved their seeding on its own, and a long shot win by MIA Vs NE next week was required to win the division. Everyone knows at this point the best way to beat this version of the Patriots is to pressure Brady, as he will throw the ball away and take sacks. I surmised that the Bills might not show too many of their best pressures today, and they did not. With next week a virtual bye week, teams will be looking at today’s film. It seemed that the Bills played very conservatively on defense, and that allowed Brady to stand back there. The lack of aggression also helped their running game. The Bills coaches have moved into playoff mode and went with a simple gameplan today. They need their best defensive work for the playoffs, especially if they see this team again. It was enough to keep the game close, but also just enough to lose. If they made Brady play today like he did at BUF, they’d probably have walked out with a win.
  2. NE will be knocked out in their first playoff game. I’m confident of that after watching them today.
  3. It was their worst since the PHL game. Had to keep NE under 20 today and they didn’t do it. They were hyped up for the game, but their fundamentals went out the window at times. That was the difference. Bills needed more creativity in the red zone on offense. They got it one out of three times.
  4. So a team that loses in Foxboro ( with the usual assistance from the officials btw) by 7 points with a chance to tie in the final minute is not ready for prime time ? Lol The Bills have flaws, but they looked ready to compete in prime time. They’re a young team that needs a couple more pieces. Ahead of schedule right now
  5. Not a great Pats* team to be sure, but better at the fundamentals and much better offensive coaching than the Bills. That got them a 7 point win, that was in jeopardy of being tied with a minute to go. The Bills are not a small time team, but a team being rebuilt from scratch that is working its way into the big time. They are a few players short, and it showed today. It may not be the best Pats team we’ve ever seen, but they have 12 wins this year with a mediocre offense. The biggest difference today though might have been McDaniels vs Daboll. McDaniels had answers in the red zone and Daboll failed twice in that area.
  6. Defense had the Pats* in 3rd and short all game. That’s on them. Not a recipe for success. They bit on run fakes and took poor angles , arm tackles.
  7. Need another RB and another WR at least. Maybe a top TE if you can get one.
  8. Starters play a half or so at most. No reason for anything more.
  9. That sums it up. Tackling was poor, OL was sub par at times.
  10. That will not happen. This offseason will be about retaining their defensive talent and adding weapons to a limited offense.
  11. You can, but not when the defense plays without fundamentals or pass rush , and gets rolled on for 400+ yards. The Bills don’t have the offensive personnel yet to consistently score more vs a top defense.
  12. Any team the Bills face in the playoffs is going to have good players on the roster. They won’t face an elite defense in the WC round. It’s really out of their control anyway. If they manage to get a win today, it forces NE to play their starters in week 17 ( unusual for them ) and possibly knocks them out of a bye week.
  13. I’m not sure how someone that follows the NFL can say the Pats* in the Super Bowl is in any way a good storyline.
  14. Certainly a couple more Bills should have received stronger consideration, but as to your point about the media they don’t vote for the pro bowl. The All Pro team is a greater honor imo.
  15. Total BS. Just like his phantom “ illegal hands to the face” in Dallas.
  16. Yeah, this is one of the crews that turn a blind eye to NE offensive holding, CBs grabbing etc. Not good; much rather have Boger or Vinovich
  17. See this way too often in the NFL. Guys go for a highlight reel hit to dislodge the ball. It rarely works. You have to wrap a guy up. This is really training camp fundamental stuff.
  18. It’s generally the highest rated TV program each week
  19. I’ve often been critical of Frazier and his conservative tendencies. He’s definitely impressed me this season as he seems to have a newfound willingness to send pressure. I’ve had very few issues with his coaching this season. He’s been excellent.
  20. Is it known that he’s a fan f the Pats? If so, I’ve lost respect for Michaels as Pats fans are suspect humans. Really ? I recall Collinsworth being hugely complimentary of Nick Foles and the Eagles coaches in that game. Then again, Eagles fans booed Santa lol
  21. A check last night showed flights BUF to HOU that week double the cost of any other week in January. Maybe due to New Years, but seems the airlines were on this quickly. Pretty sure they said it was 1991
  22. That’s only if you know that no other team put in a claim, which they wouldn’t know. You have to assume a NE or top team is going to put in a claim to either improve or block him from a competitor.
  23. Exactly. Could simply be a move to block him from BAL, NE etc.
  24. The 53rd player currently on the roster. That’s an easy one.
