Well, it really was year two of an offensive teardown/ rebuild. Most resources should go into the offense this offseason. That is the domain of Beane and McD. They must answer for it and no one else.

I disagree. He threw well short of the first down, and the tackle should have been made easily. Good call, bad execution of the defense.

The call on 3rd and 18 was actually fine and correct. One of 4 Bills defenders swarming to the receiver must make the tackle.

Can’t play the “ take away their best play(s) game. However, we all knew this was likely going to be the result. McD has his “guys” to a fault, and it was known that he wouldn’t disrupt the locker room by sitting Gore. It’s the old dance with who brung ya. The need for a new RB or two next season is clear though.

4 straight AFC titles isn’t exactly a low accomplishment in football. Hasn’t been done before or since.

This game wasn’t a case of one player dropping a game winner with seconds remaining. Tonight there were proverbial drops of the ball all the way around.

This cannot be overstated. When the OL struggles , Allen’s effectiveness as a passer is greatly reduced.

Their pass rush was still superior to our OL. There was your difference in the game.

It will be at least another year. We can be certain of that anyway.

Seems like a lot of personal vendettas coming out in this thread. JA inexperience showed and a he made a few very poor decisions , but the game was available to be won. His mistakes weren’t killers. He did cost them 3 points, but other aspects cost them far more. At times JA made the play, but the WR didn’t. At times the OC was astonishingly bad. At times the HC and DC were too conservative to win. All these things conspired, but Allen was about a C overall in this game. A in the first half and D in the second. Still should be reveling in a ( somewhat closer than necessary ) Bills playoff victory.

That lets the defense and coaching off the hook completely. Alllen had his ups and downs in his first playoff game, but it seems that it got too hot for McD, Daboll and Co more than Josh.

Agreed. He waited until there was no room for error to bring the heat on Watson. Milano whiffed on the sack and that was the ballgame. HOU got heat on Allen when it counted. Almost always comes down to QB pressure in a tight ballgame.
