The team wouldn’t be in the playoffs with the 29th or 32nd ranked defense, even if the offense were top ten. Anyway, ,most fans want to see the offense improved. They’re not okay with it. What would you suggest fans do about the Bills offense ? There’s nothing we can do. So perhaps you’d be more entertained by following Arizona or something. There’s little that we can do as fans except trust that those in charge will make the necessary improvements in the offseason. Their jobs depend on it, so I’d suspect they know what needs to be done. Making the playoffs and winning games is a good step, but no one on the staff would be satisfied being the 24th ranked offense.

Is it ? Shouldn’t next year’s finale be the last of the decade ? I mean, if recorded time began with year one ......

Chances Bills play first game of wildcard weekend?
Boatdrinks replied to Negan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Ravens would play Saturday and get the extra days rest before the AFC title game due to their status as the #1 seed. -
Tre/Allen for Mahomes Outcome
Boatdrinks replied to BillsfaninSB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Perhaps. Most would say Pat Mahomes has a lot better chance of being that player, and I would agree with them. -
I’d guess there’s a good chance Williams is active this Sunday.

I’m certain the Bills are capable of throwing for 300 yards in a game. However, it’s clear they do not want to do the things necessary for that to happen in a game. Namely, pass the ball about 35 to 40 times. This reluctance may be due to personnel issues on the offense, which is still not completely rebuilt. They focused on the OL this past offseason, and got two starting caliber WRs as they had none. They’re scraping by with a rookie TE that caught few passes in college and lack a physical, big , matchup WR on the outside. Patience, grasshopper. I’d reckon a sizable chunk of their offseason and cap $$ will be spent adding weapons for Josh Allen. Meanwhile, this team in its current form is going to the playoffs. That’s entertaining by any standard.

Who remembers Don Smith's last carry for the Bills
Boatdrinks replied to Stallions's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sad story, wow. I remember Smith, as I met him briefly and got his autograph in August of 1990. He was in the building where I worked at the time for an appearance on Budweiser Sportsline with Paul Maguire. Paul often brought players back to our office, but I bumped into Smith as he was leaving. I recall he was very nice , and we briefly discussed the upcoming season. Of course, I had no idea what an amazing season was about to unfold , and he was an unlikely candidate to score the Bills first SB touchdown in franchise history. I was never aware of what happened to him, except that he wasn’t in the Bills the next season. -

FWIW , Synopsis of playoff scenarios on NFL.com stated “ don’t be surprised “ if Texans get early slot on SAT for playoffs. -

Sucks that we get the Steelers game in BUF, rather than the much more interesting ( to Bills fans) HOU Vs TEN. -

Watt designated to return from IR

Will Fuller’s absence / presence will have a bigger impact on the game than Watt imo. -
Should The Bills Bench Alexander?
Boatdrinks replied to Dr.Sack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Especially a team that was running a 3-4 defense ( and stocking the cupboard accordingly) since approximately the beginning of time. -
The West coast trips might be the most difficult thing about this schedule.

Allen slammed on ESPN
Boatdrinks replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. You don’t go from 31st in passing to 10th in one offseason. I’m enjoying watching them this season while still wanting the offense to improve. If some fans want to call the Bills boring, Ill take boring if that means wins and playoff games. It beats watching a team with lots of 300 yard passing games , but few wins and your thoughts turning to the draft by Thanksgiving. We’ve certainly been there before , and for far too long. -
I believe they try to rotate them from the previous matchup, but it’s not set in stone. Sometimes the rest of the league schedule doesn’t allow for it. We did have SF at home and SEA and Rams away last time fwiw.

Beastmode passes physical. Signs with SEA
Boatdrinks replied to CowgirlsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Can’t stand that dill hole, or the Seahags for that matter. Never liked SEA much anyway, but after Pete Carroll gifted the Pats* a championship with his boneheaded decision I despise them. -
Definitely a big improvement over his first 5 games this season. Encouraging for sure.

When Was the Last Time Bills Could Rest Starters?
Boatdrinks replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree. If I had to venture a guess, I’d say McD rotates players in, kind of preseason style and gets them out after a set number of series depending on the player. Maybe a few vets sit this one out on the inactive list. -

Bills under McDermott are 3-0 after bye weeks. Not sure if It’s relevant to check any further back .
