  1. This It's the same reason online reviews for things skew negative and elections draw the biggest turnout when voters are voting "against" someone a opposed to "for" someone. People are motivated by anger and hatred. Bills win, we have a good day. Clean up the house. Spend time with loved ones. Louis Armstrong playing in the background. When they lose, it's "mad world" on the playlist and its time to exact revenge by way of bad review (or scathing post).
  2. Imagine if they had done what EVERY fan wanted them to do when they traded up for Cody Ford and instead drafted Metcalf. That was Beane's "maybin over orakpo" moment. And it changed the trajectory of the team, just like the maybin bust. The swing from Cody Ford to DK would have been massive And I won't get into the endless parade of could-have-been-Bills WRs via trade or FA. It's criminal, and the one thing that really gives me pause about Beane is flat out ignoring the WR position after getting diggs
  3. John... I would point out that your thoughts on this are just as much conjecture as anyone else. Someone says he lost the locker room. You say he didn't. NEITHER are objective facts based on what we know. Their opinions are not just simply inferior to yours, and they carry an EQUAL amount of speculation. There is evidence that McD stays (the contract extension) and evidence he could get fired (natural progression often after these types of seasons). But no "proof". You speak with an authoritative tone as if what you are saying is objective truth (and of course you might be right!), though it's just as likely that the opposing view is true. Anyway... Personally I don't like managent by fear, running a business on fear, or a sports team on fear for that matter. With the trajectory this bills team has taken in recent years, and if it doesn't turn around this year, it's tantamount to fear to not move on from McDermott. I get it, the devil you know... But you can't be scared that the next guy will be worse. If you identify a problem, it's your responsibility to TRY and fix it, even if it doesn't work. There ARE other great coaches and with Josh you can actually attract a good one. This isn't buddy nix trying to convince us everyone wants the job anymore, it's we have a franchise QB and one of the most attractive openings in the NFL if vacated. We can't be paralyzed by fear of losing McD. The only fear is losing Josh. And that seems like it might be starting to happen. So natural progression is change had to happen. And maybe it already did 🤷🏻‍♂️ maybe Dorsey was THE problem and now we're good. But we have the rest of the season to see. The weight lies squarely on McDermott's shoulders right now. He surely sees the dysfunction and is trying to right the ship. There's still time for him to save it, save himself, save Josh, save the season. But times running out. And that's my $.08 (inflation🤷🏻‍♂️)
  4. So many miserable people in this thread. McD has alot of problems Team has alot of problems Defense has played pretty solid. Not world beaters, but good enough to win games. Offense could see a significant spark from coordinator change. It has the personnel to be productive. We've seen Josh perform at the highest level. Super Bowl (even playoffs) certainly not a guarantee, maybe not even likely, but everyone chastising the OP for their optimism could probably benefit from a deep breath. It certainly would make a good storybook ending. I know, we haven't seen any of those yet... But it could happen. The AFC is a bloodbath and pretty much any team could make it right now. Crazier things have happened. I wouldn't say I expect it or that I'm particularly optimistic myself, but let's not act like OP is an idiot because of their hope for more this year. That's why we're fans, and quite frankly I wish I shared that same optimism.
  5. This is a great post. Orlovsky doesn't articulate his problem with this play well but I believe you got it anyway. He's not saying "don't motion", he's saying "don't motion if you aren't going to use the information from it" since that's the whole point of the motion is to see what the defense is doing. Theoretically then, you would exploit it (throw to Kincaid in the flat)
  6. Yeah honestly I'm struggling to figure out who their target audience is. Who wants this? Rich people get boxes. But now you'll have to be really well off just to get regular season tix. But who cares right, we are ALREADY paying for it anyway since "The Hoch" is giving Terry our money by use of force. That's the real scam. Take money from people who live paycheck to paycheck and give it to billionaires. 🤔Almost like that was the plan🤷🏻‍♂️
  7. If that price above is close to reality, I think your expectations are off base. These are Bills fans we are talking about remember. Most of us don't have 15-20 grand to spend going to a stadium 8 times a year. Especially when the view, the beer, the food, and the chair are all better at home.
  8. Tough to find wins left on the schedule the way the team has been playing Going into this year everyone knew we had to stack wins early because the back half is so brutal. Well here we are at the back half and the piper is calling to get paid. This team almost needs to completely implode right now. I fear it will take something very dramatic to move Terry off Sean and we dont have too many Josh years left to waste on McD.
  9. Boo-hoo With great power comes great responsibility. Time to buck up and make the change. Feel bad for a billionaire because his sports teams aren't winning? Nah
  10. Alot of people think he's a bad fit but I'm on board. You have a top QB and young superstar to be at TE. Build around it however you'd like. We're in that weird type of situation where the QB is in place but there is going to be so much roster turnover it's like a rebuild. So pretty attractive to an incoming coach besides the cap hell year coming in '24
  11. I really hope they are dead men walking. But even if Terry/Beane decide it's over for McD, they will wait until they are eliminated from the playoffs. Which, I'm fine with. This year is a wash if you change coaches now anyway. We need a offensive guru HC and there aren't any of those that can install a new offense over the bye week.
  12. That should be IT for McD 12 men seals it for me
  13. Sharpen those pitchforks
  14. Feels like we're gonna lose this one Wow
  15. Pathetic. No leadership No mental toughness No focus or discipline Needs new coaching. Period
  16. He had that if he runs
  17. Another Fergie special Lol
  18. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. In this case, fix it.
  19. Shouldn't have to but he does My point is nothing is perfect anywhere in the NFL, and this team actually is good enough (even right now) to win it all with McD. Every SB winning coach isn't awesome, sometimes you just catch lightning in a bottle. And as much shade as McD gets (I'm not excluding myself, as I'm ready for a change at HC) by most meaningful metrics he's one of, if not the most successful coach in the history of this franchise. How many Giants fans were OUT on Coughlin before their SB? McD is no worse rn than Coughing was then, and Josh is significantly better than Eli
  20. I'm still holding out hope this is like the Gints '07 Josh is good enough to take games over by himself. IF the offense gets hot late in the year anything is possible (yeah even a SB) You just need to get hot at the end and get some bounces. NOBODY in unbeatable
  21. Haha me too Two words: Ben Johnson You offer this guy a chance to be HC to Josh Allen. Happily ever after.
  22. Will likely get none. You don't lead a room full of talent to underperform and then get a promotion. The gig is up on Dorsey. Everyone knows Josh is making things work, just look at expected comp% vs actual it's dramatic, and tells the story that Dorsey does not fundamentally understand calling plays in the NFL. He understands individual plays, but doesn't "get" how they interact with other plays in a given series or game, or for the entirety of the year. They are like tracks on an album, that when you listen to it they go together. But Dorsey only sees the album for it's collection of tracks. This offense is doing what it's doing successfully despite Dorsey, not because of him. And I would venture a guess the people doing the hiring can see that as well.
  23. Dorsey Sucks, With McDermott giving him too much free reign getting honorable (?) mention
  24. Yes and current players have danced around the topic publicly. Publicly. Would be interesting to hear what they say to each other when they are practice golfing at Josh's new California compound.
  25. This is a legitimate factor with the new stadium/higher ticket prices. I have no confidence pegula will move on from McDermott this year, but after next year if this team still looks like, well... this; he's going to have to do something to excite the fans. Whenever determining what a person or organization will do, always follow the money. Billionaires gonna billionaire and the team either needs to sustain success until the new stadium or there will have to be some razzle dazzle and flash to sell new tickets. A new HC (and voice for the org) would do just that.
