  1. Josh's window is at least a decade. No one else matters. What we are doing isn't working. It beats up on bad teams and folds under good offenses. Get it right is what we need to do. Continuity is great... And it's why I'm cool with giving Dorsey another year, but the defense has been continually exposed in big moments, and that's not the continuity we need. I'm not neccesarily advocating for Vic, but we need a wholesale sea change in philosophy on defense or it's the same song and dance. Just getting Von healthy and praying he stays that way isn't gonna do it.
  2. No. This defense has been fully exposed, and Frazier's play calling on crucial moments has been so bad it's not even defensable (pardon the pun). Playing soft zones, off on coverage, not bringing pressure even when it works, etcetera. And this is the year to make big changes. 3 years running the defense ***** the bed in the playoffs. At the most important time. Why is this the best time for new coaching/scheme? Well in my opinion it's the fact that Po is likely gone, Hyde on the backside of his career. Young guys benford and elam could get some good coaching even if the scheme changes they are young enough. 1 year contracts on the D-line of Phillips and Lawson are expired. Big decisions to make on Edmunds. Who starts at corner? Tre has looked average and between Johnson, Dane Jackson, elam, and benford, we have no idea who starts. Long and short of it is there will be tons of changes to this defense from a personnel standpoint, so it would be the right time to bring in a new DC and scheme. Chances of Frazier getting a HC gig seem to have dried up but he can be fired. With a dynamic offense, a complimentary defense would be far more aggressive, focused on big plays and turnovers. We have been this "bend but don't break" defense unders Frazier but unfortunately, it broke too often to even be considered as such.
  3. So........ Anybody there in the secondary? It's like they aren't covering anyone
  4. Yeah it's out of hand. So what if it landed us McDermott it doesn't mean it's a functional system. Well this is certainly a problem, and you would think NFL cares about the product on the field. Easy fix- NO teams can interview or hire coaches until the season is fully done (SB included). See, that wasn't all that hard!
  5. This ***** is out of hand. League needs to put a moratorium on interviewing coaches in-season (even postseason). Should be classified as tampering. Plus... Joe prob knows he's got the inside track to bills oc if Dorsey moves on. And obv he would prefer that to new jersey
  6. I'm like 60% sure. Just a little better than a toss-up. But it feels like our year
  7. No McD? I voted Dabs but I almost voted Pederson
  8. What? I thought our team sucked, Josh was a liability, and we had no chance against the Bengals. This can't be true
  9. For real. Just get the Lombardi and we won't care if it takes a few years for a "reload"
  10. Yeah if McDermott ruled him out he's out. I'll hold out hope for next week though (and getting to next week) 🤞
  11. The cheating though. Tarnishes everything. Too bad too, because he and Bill have what it takes to be some of the best ever without cheating. But they did. And now they are pieces of trash who sullied the game. F them both.
  12. It absolutely is a good thing. They need to work on this. And you've seen a concerted effort from the coaching staff, putting Beasley and/or brown out there instead of stone hands McKenzie... But then brown runs the wrong route leading to an Allen interception. Beasley had a pretty decent game, though he does look markedly slower now and somewhat uncoordinated transitioning from the catch to run. Either way I'll take a haggard vet like Beas over McKenxie in important situations, and he made a couple plays we needed to secure the W. Next year, it's time to stop with defensive picks and draft/sign WR and OL. Like seriously we don't have the personnel. So many teams with so many weapons- competing with the likes of Cincy, SD, SF, etc for a ring and would be nice to have comparable arsenals... We got Josh and Stef. Maybe Cook. Pass catchers please!
  13. Seems to be a trend this year. When he's playing a team he thinks we should blow out, he goes Madden-mode and tries to get 6 on every play. If they run the ball and do quick-hitters all day, Bills win by 14+; so plenty of this is on Dorsey too.
  14. Receivers are trying to give this game away
  15. Lance was the starter before he went down. That means he won the job over JimmyG. Pretty obvious
  16. I could see this being the case. But as a principle if a starter loses his job because of injury, you should give him a chance to earn the job back imo. But you may be right.
  17. When Lance was upset because SF re-signed JimG, he nailed his own coffin shut. This league does not tolerate bad teammates very well, nor his wimpy mentality. Not to mention he was severely outplayed by a pedestrian Garropollo and Mr Irrelevant. Either way I expect an open competition between Lance and Purdy next year, so Lance better buck the ***** up and ball out or he's about to be a backup.
  18. 🤷 Purdy good story imo. San Fran is a stacked team with great coaching, no wonder all 3 (completely different) QBs flourished in the system. Give the kid some credit. He has not folded to the pressure of a super bowl run, less than a year after being the last pick in the draft. He may not be elite, maybe ever, but he's playing well now and deserves the kind words he gets from the talking heads. And he's in the NFC. So no direct conflict. Weird person to hate right now. But people hate Josh too, so........
  19. In a Josh Allen Jersey thread? Edit: alrighty just realized this was merged with the Jersey thread 🤷🏻
  20. Edmunds and Oliver are very good players. Adams is a bonafide superstar elite weapon right smack dab in our biggest position of need. This is a no brainer. We would fill those defensive positions, and there would likely be a dropoff... But this team needs another weapon on offense. Someone besides josh and Stef to carry this team. Davante could be that guy (in this made up binary scenario)
  21. Ok... A sponsored hype video. Still a good vid nonetheless. The message is clear. And it's the same thing this city NEEDS. WIN IT ALL Love the shnowman!
  22. I like Bill Burr But this wasn't a breakdown of anything. It's just him whining. Am I missing something? We should be reveling in the tears of Boston fans. Celebrating their long awaited return to mediocrity. At least I am. F them
  23. Yup Yup Yup We just need new guys at wideout. For this year though, these two fellas likely need to step it up. Or... Where you at, Odell? Playoffs are here
  24. New list: 1. Win SB There are no others and I'm downright machiavellian about it. End justify the means. Just. Get. It. Done!
  25. I've been saying this all year (though without stats to back it up). Watch out for this offense on 3rd and long. They know you are defending the sticks, so Josh likes to go for the long ball and it has largely worked pretty well. Look at the (seems like forever ago) Gabe Davis for 98 yds. It was like 3rd and 14 or something at the 2 and Josh just rifles that ***** out there to Davis and BOOM, 6 points
