  1. I'd side with the Dallas run, because of the National Spotlight and really was this Bill's team / regime coming out party. However.. not to be a debbie downer (as I am still riding the euphoric high from yesterday's game).. but the one thing that concerns me with JA17's amazing skill set is his inability to convert QB sneaks on a regular basis. Not sure if it is the OL or his inability to find a crease... but with his big body, desire, etc.. you would think he should be a lock on every QB sneak. Go Bills!
  2. Not true.. Pretty sure going into this week.. we have the 5th best pressure rate in the NFL... and I'm guessing it improves this week. This narrative needs to stop
  3. What am I missing... we gave up less the 300 yards against a playoff caliber, HOF Coached team.. and we are calling for the heads of a number of defensive players? Sorry... I struggle with that assessment when you consider that the Pats needed to pass to make up a double digit deficit but they continued to run and eat up the clock.. Quite frankly, I think the Pats played into the trap that Fraser and Coach set.... A minus for me
  4. Said it before.. I'll say it again... Regardless of result, there is a good chance we meet the Pats again in the playoffs. I know it's easy to get caught up in the moment.. but guys like Beane and Coach get paid millions of dollars for a whole bunch of reasons... but one of them is to not lose sight of the big picture. They have built this team to win consistently for years to come and we as a fandom should not lose site of that. Go Bills
  5. One point we (and I'm sure McBeane recognizes this as well)... win or lose this weekend.. there is a better then good chance that the Bills and Pats could be playing each other in the First round of the playoffs.
  6. I guess Curran didn't hang around for the end of the movie....
  7. I honestly believe there were about 7 calls missed on Diggs. I do not remember a game being as angry about how we got 'jobbed' since the infamous 1998 'give it to 'em' game against the Pats.... But I'm so jaded at this point with TB12 getting all the calls that even if we had got that PI call in the endzone.. we would've most likely got a phantom holding call on the 1 yard line.. and it would've been all for not. The reality is that if we are going to beat teams like the Bucs (and unfortunately the Pats too) we need to overcome this crap and make plays... and it's funny if you remember.. that's what was happening last year.. Ie: there was that sequence against the Broncos last year.. where I believe a TD was called back... then we lost another 15 yards in penalties.. and JA said screw it.. I'm going to launch a missile to Kumerow in the EZ.... Anyhow... Go Bills!
  8. Loved when TO came here... But similar to when Lynch was the Legend of the Game, I struggle with honoring players from the drought years - let alone a 'Legend' who played one year for a 6-10 team. There are only a handful of legends from the drought years.. and they start and end with Fitzy, FJax, Eric Wood, and Kyle
  9. This.. and it's not even close.. bonus points because the voice of Patrick Star is the actor who played Dauber on the great 90's sitcom Coach.
  10. I'm probably not answering the question.. but I have no doubt that this team is resilient enough to overcome this injury. My concern is the next injury. Our lack of depth in CB's may finally comeback to haunt Beane. The NFL is such a game of matchups.. and with upper echelon teams, they will exploit that matchup Just need to look at the Colts game to see that.... I hate to oversimplify it.. but with Star and Edmonds out.. .they took that matchup and exploited it all day.. that's all it takes in this league to make a number 1 defense.. look like the 32nd defense.... And yes... I do believe that if Star and Edmonds were in the game against the Colts... the results would have been much different... Anyhow.. I think this team is resilient and will play for Tre... but I don't know if they have it in them to overcome multiple injuries to CB's when the backend is such an important part of their scheme
  11. I was always under the impression that it was the organization that pushed Marshawn out of Buffalo vs. the other way around. I remember good ole Buddy saying he wanted a water bug for a RB (CJ Spiller) and the rest was history (Culminating in Marshawn being showcased in his last game against Green Bay.. which I believe was Trent Edwards last game too). I felt like Marshawn always embraced Buffalo (and sometimes a little too much because of his antics on Chippewa) and us fans did the same too. (I always felt he was our best play especially those 2006 - 2008 seasons) With that said, I tend to agree that the idea of Marshawn Lynch being a legend of the game feels like a stretch and personally, there are only a handful (if that many) players that the organization should pay tribute to as part of those drought years
  12. Great summary as usual Virgil... I really like your thought about Davis. I agree, when he becomes a real part of the passing attack - we just seem to be at another level. As I mentioned on an earlier post, I really think Daboll and company seem to be holding him back and he could be the X factor for a special playoff run. Go Bills! P.S Loving the multiple Pearl Jam references... As a long time member of the Ten Club - I appreciate this at multiple levels (It doesn't get Vedder then this)
  13. I know that this isn't the most popular take and this has been dismissed on a certain morning radio stations... but I tend to believe the coaching staff and Beane (included) have been holding back (especially these last three games) in anticipation of the the last quarter of the year and the playoffs. I think it was Jay Feeley that kept on alluding to this throughout yesterday's game meaning he kept on referring to the Bill's being 'Championship caliber' and it's not only about winning right now that counts.. but it's as important (if not more important) to be healthy and peaking near the end of the season.... when you consider the last three Super Bowl champs all had 'average' records by this time in the season... and each team got healthy and peaked at the right time to go onto win Super Bowls. Understanding this is nice and convenient take as a Bill fan... but I see how yesterday was the first time all season that I remember JA being under center most of the time... they targeted Diggs the most since game 1... and they started throwing to Davis again.. I want to believe there is something to this take. Go Bills
  14. Maybe I missed something.. Butt Diggs get hurt ? Seemed like he was not on the field for the second half of the 4th Quarter....
  15. Gotta hand it to the Bills Marketing / Social Media team.. They've somehow made Steve Tasker cool again. Go Bills!
  16. I remember at the time watching the Jim Rome show after this game... and he talked about how the Bills offense was leaps and bounds ahead of all the offenses in the league... that everybody was in slow motion while the Bills K-Gun was in fast forward (or something like that). There was a lot of truth to it and a great time to be a fan. With that said.. it blows me away today that we still didn't win a Superbowl in 90 & 91. Lots of 'excuses' to be had as to why.. but those teams were genuinely too good to not win a Superbowl.. let alone lose it to Jeff Hostetler and Mark Rypien led teams. Uggghhh.. Mark Rypien Here's to Josh and Daboll finishing off what Jimbo and Marchibroda couldn't do... Nope second game of the season. First game of the season was at home against the Dolphins. Dolphins jumped ahead 14 - 0.. but Thurman Thomas then decided to take over and as per the normal during the K Gun era.. we took it to the Fish. Great times!
  17. To the earlier point, the seeding is questionable as it based on twitter followers. Ironically our fan base is not a big fan of snapface as our peers in the Pats community
  18. Why do I think he is going to the Pats. Antonio Brown lite.....
  19. Really? I think about last year and what we did to Tua and Herbert.... Seemed like we did fine. (Tua's yards were in garbage time with our backups)
  20. How did we lose to these guys in the playoffs........
  21. Agreed.... After the debacle of the Bledsoe/Jauron era Uni's.. our current uni's are top notch and should never be messed with again.
  22. Take a look at Ertz's stats from his first preseason game... Just sayin https://www.google.com/search?q=eagles+preseason+game&rlz=1C1GCEU_enUS927US927&oq=eagles+preseason+game&aqs=chrome..69i57j0i324j0i131i433i512j0i512l3j0i22i30l4.2809j1j9&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#sie=m;/g/11rc0179by;6;/m/059yj;tb2;fp;1;;
