  1. Does Woody Johnson, Jets, have this qualification? Does Mark Davis, Raiders, have it? Does David Tepper, Panthers, have it? Does Jimmy Haslam, Browns, have it?
  2. There is evidence of domestic violence. It's all in the hands of the DA right now. The GF can talk until she's blue in the face and it doesn't matter. So the qestions are: What will the DA do? Is he looking for headlines? What and when will Goodell do? This could take months and months.
  3. Heh. I could go for Bill, *IF* he isn't the GM. I don't think his ego would give Brandon Beane the space to operate.
  4. Everyone wants to fire McD, without any thought of replacing him. You have the Madden types who blurt out "back up the Brinks truck for Harbaugh" ...without any thought as to whether he's interested in leaving Michigan where he is King of his own universe, or any thought as to whether he has any interest in tax heavy and snowy WNY. You have the Ben Johnson types...get in line with all the other teams who will fire their HC this season. You have the Daboll types---I hope they're just saying that for laughs. That's a leap of fantasy. You have the "because we have Allen, coach prospects will be lining up at the door" types... Even Frank Reich's name has been bandied by those with terminal nostalgia disease. Reality: you fire McD, it's a complete and total crapshoot as to what will replace him.
  5. It doesn't matter if she recants, from the stories: With that physical evidence, it is the District Attorney's prerogative whether or not to proceed with charges. It's out of the girl friend's hands and into the hands of the DA, and Goodell. The questions going forward: Is it one of those ambitious headline seeking DAs? What will Goodell do with it?
  6. People are celebrating his passing. The world is full of sick people. 100 years was a good run. RIP.
  7. To all those saying "clean house" and "we're a mess" I say the Bills are just about average in their personnel problems. It's not the acute dumpster fire that people make it out to be. No matter who you sign, who you draft, and who you hire--statistically, you're gonna get personnel problems. My point of reference? I was in military units about the same size as the Buffalo Bills. We had about the same number of problem children, substance abusers, and domestic issues that the Bills have. It's a fact of life. Deal with them when they arise. Have some self-esteem as a Bills fan.
  8. The word "Billsy" and in all caps, is an immediate "do not read." It's right up there with stupid nicknames for McDermott.
  9. Learn to like it. Without Pegs, you wouldn't even be here commenting today on the _______ Bills. (fill in the blank with any city more vibrant than Buffalo)
  10. Nah. The Bills need a new kicker. Two missed field goals. Have those, and there is no OT.
  11. He had no chance. With that kind of patience from ownership, the Panther's will be perennial bottom feeders.
  12. I agree with OP's analysis. Such a viewpoint will be deeply unpopular and will garner many critical replies. There's probably three of us on the board thinking the same way.
  13. I will say the un-sayable: Poyer and Hyde are ancient and have lost a step. They got burned on a TD last night.
  14. I disagree with the premise, but I read the full post (and most of the replies) because you didn't call McDermott a stupid nickname.
  15. Your analysis is correct. You're pissing in the Wheaties of the Madden-types who play in cheat-mode and say things like "the cap isn't real," and they imagine all players want to play in Buffalo. You'll be flamed.
  16. You don't know what went on between Beane and DeAndre Hopkins. Though, you can surmise from how things have played out: DeAndre is WR1 in Tennessee, he had little interest in being Buffalo WR2, splitting touches with Diggs and whoever was going play slot-type WR (that turned out to be Kincaid). I doubt it. A lot of GMs will see that missed route from last night.
  17. If you can't find a legit Bills bar, a good plan B is Buffalo Wild Wings. Cleveland has two. One of their TVs has gotta be on the Bills game.
  18. Oh, that's not good. We'd have to rely on Cook/Murray against the league's number 1 rushing defense. National Weather Service "Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible." That's a nothing burger weather wise. Let's hope they're right.
  19. Rodgers feels guilt..? He would be a good Catholic if it weren't for the Ayahuasca.
  20. The Eagles have the number 1 rushing defense in the league. They stuff the run. In light of that, I predict Joe Brady will revert to what Joe Brady knows best: passing. I expect a pass heavy game. There won't be much of Cook or Murray. Fournette won't even be active. I hope Brady is good. The positive news is there is only one game of tape on Brady, so his tendencies are unknown at this time. Bills Defense: the Eagles are going to light us up. Holding the Jets to 6 was child's play and is not a predictor of performance against a good team. The game will come down to Brady's play calling and which Josh Allen shows up.
  21. ...and that Big Baller Beane traded up and jumped the Cowboys to pick up Kincaid is just icing on the cake. (the Cowboys were thought to be gunning for Kincaid with their pick) Anything detrimental to Jerry Jones just warms my heart.
  22. I lived nearby when it opened. The place is only 26 years old. That's a teenager in public infrastructure years, not even. No hot water? What a dump. Crummy neighborhood also.
  23. Yeah, that's why I get a buzz cut every 5 weeks. I'd go more often if the barber weren't so expensive. No. 1 on the sides. No. 2 on top. A habit from my military days. You're right, Gardner is a punk. I didn't like seeing Diggs get slammed, but it had a silver lining in seeing Gardner lose his cool. I had to Google the word suplex.
