  1. I think long term the hope is to move Richardson there. Didn't Kyle get extended? I think he'll be back next year but I don't think (in order of likelihood IMO) McKelvin, Fred, and Wood will be back next year.
  2. The bar on the side is funny. His pre-camp prediction had EJ at 50% and then on Aug 2 at 25%. I love that reporters (like this board) hit the panic button after 3 days. I'm going to hold off all predictions until at least the scrimmage, but I will continue to laugh at any wild fluctuations in predictions on a day to day basis. Welp now you've gone and jinxed it!!!
  3. Sounded like a good practice for the young QBs. I think EJ was probably the biggest surprise. It will be interesting to see what Astro's take is. Also I think a light day for McCoy (from what I read on twitter).
  4. Most exciting thread in a month. Thank god. This defense was good last year when we just sat back and didn't blitz. If we can get away with 8 in the box, I don't know if theres much to stop us. Side note with all the confusion/chaos I would imagine the % of turnovers converted to TD's is higher. Did the '85 bears score a lot of TD's off of turnovers?
  5. Interviewing no. But after I have been hired by my new company I have had no problem thrashing my old company. Particularly I enjoy pointing out the numerous examples of how my new employer is better than my old employer. Also my new employer seems to love me. I have been given additional responsibilities and am leading people who have been with the company longer (although I have more experience and better degrees). So I don't think Sammy's coaches or the FO have a problem with this. I don't have a problem with it (particularly because Fred has done it); as long as it doesn't interfere with his performance. I don't think this is bashing; also IIRC these comments have come out already too so not sure why the BFD now.
  6. Question now seems to be if the Bills do anything (fire or bring him back before his court date of 12AUG2015). I imagine they wait at this point.
  7. Agreed that Anderson has to be the plan if Kromer misses any time or is fired. Whomever is leading the line is probably the most important offensive position coach.
  8. Over the cap is saying >$2.4 million saved by a post june 1st cut. Oddly it was only $755k savings for a pre june 1st cut. Not sure how accurate OTC is though http://overthecap.com/player/chris-williams/2179
  9. Sorry, I don't think its a bad thought/question. Gun to my head I think he might get a 5th (probably over optimistic too). I just don't think he's shown enough to have too much value outside of Buffalo. Also since we are so short staffed we have added desire to retain him. Like I said though if we draft another OT and keep Glenn then he would most certainly be on the block. Crazy how quickly things can change, but this year I think he's here.
  10. What position would you trade him for? We need OT's and he's cheap. If he plays better than last year and we draft a LT in the first round next year then we can discuss this. Otherwise I don't think hes going anywhere.
  11. Sign him. We need OT help. We could start him at LT and move Glenn to RG. Sorry couldn't help myself.
  12. I can understand that prediction if you assume he gets 300 carries (not unreasonable imo). I was being very conservative with the predictions I made above. Ambitiously D is #1, Shady is top 2, Sammy is top 7, and Clay is top 7.
  13. I'm starting to get to the point where I am not just frustrated at Kromer's idiocy, but I am also frustrated at the leaking of information/handling of the matter. I think it has been >1 week since we first heard he was going to be fired. Then Vic reports the termination will be end of the week and now Joe B is reporting also a termination (although very short on any details). If the axe is above his head just let it fall; otherwise, put these rumors to bed. Have we heard anything from OBD besides he's on paid leave and we're working with NFL HQ. Either way I think his paid leave or employment ends this week.
  14. I agree. As far as rankings at their fantasy positional group I expect it to be Defense (top 5) Shady (top 10) Sammy (top 15) Clay (top 20) Harvin, I expect to be available on the waiver wire if you like a matchup, but if you can't get him its probably better that he is sitting on someone's roster.
  15. I can not disagree with this enough. I assume the counting game is how our QBs will live actually. If there are >7 in the box throw it. If there are =<7 in the box then run the ball. I think Roman averages >1 TE on the field per snap so thats >6 blockers on the field per snap. I don't think playing nickel against us will be very successful (except in obvious passing downs).
  16. I like that your examples of poor moves haven't gotten a chance to play yet. Not to say they will work out but you probably could've gone with C Williams instead.
  17. We're actually going to see him with a different OC, and as many of the "apologizers" have said if he can't make it this year then the book is definitely closed. Its funny that most of the argument isn't about whether the book on EJ is closed, but rather what is the likelihood that he can put it together. I think I would be labelled as an EJ sympathizer, but then again I always Billieve.
  18. 3 million over the course of the contract or per year. One is ~3% increase the other is ~30% increase (for MD's contract). There are players who have decided to forgo the small increase to stay where they are successful. This past offseason one of those players was from GB (granted it was Buffalo not SD trying to pry him away with more money). I really think players consider their future success when making these decisions.
  19. I guess but up thread you had a tweet of him being fired last Friday. There has been so much conjecture on this issue that I am taking a lot of reports with a lot of skepticism. Again thanks for the posts and if he is fired, I will most likely know because of you.
  20. So you think Jerry Hughes would not have been paid more by anyone else because I don't think he is on the Fred Jackson/Kyle Williams level of loyalty? I think there is at least some discount for being on a potentially historic D line/Defense. There is a risk assessment at the heart of this. How much less he would consider is the real question I would think. I think he will command top dollar but not Suh money.
  21. He references an NFL source a lot. I assume this is not someone affiliated with the team. So rumor and speculation like the previous 56 pages? Either way Yolo thanks for updates.
  22. Gotcha. Agreed we have 3 short yardage specialists between Felton, Karlos, and Boobie, with the latter two trying to make the 53. I think Boobie's value, over Karlos (I think as I think you do too that both will be ST beasts), would be as a game day back up FB. As I said before I see him being able to fill two roles, and I think that would be valuable to Roman who likes to attack by disguise. Good points and god I can't wait til TC.
  23. While Karlos looks powerful, I don't see him as a FB. I just don't think hes got the mass to take on a DL or LB in the hole. Hard to bring down yes, but not sure he'll be effective as a FB. With that said, I think you make good points abou how Boobie could be odd man out; this would probably require Connor being brought to TC to be ready to go in case anything happens to Felton (I now don't think Connor makes the 53). Also there is always the fact that Roman and SF didn't resign Boobie. I still think Boobie will make the 53 though.
