  1. He was inactive after that Broncos game (got pulled during it looks like). And yeah that was a rough move to pull him back in the middle of the game.
  2. I was happy he used the stiff arm to prevent getting lit up. CB has to slow down when he presents it else hell just slide off the tackle. The throwing arm part is a good thought. Wonder how often people get injured on stiff arms versus hits near the sidelines.
  3. Now he is but when he first came out it was easy. 2020 as a rookie he came in for an injured fitz and they won a bunch of games in a row. But was clearly more the defense (I think there were multiple defensive TDs) and when asked what he thought about the NFL he said he thought it would be harder. Proceeded to get beat by the broncos enabling bills to cruise to first division win of this era. But when he said that I was happy to root against his smugness https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/tua-tagovailoa-says-he-expected-transition-to-nfl-to-be-a-lot-harder-explains-reason-for-rookie-success/
  4. Thanks for clarifying. Was legitimately confused. DQ is the 3 in that picture above. Very interesting. Got any thoughts? Wonder if film reviewers have caught this (haven’t watched cover 1 analysis yet).
  5. paired with Sanders?
  6. If youre saying that we got some luck go our way to pull out a close game then sure week 1 and the playoffs were similar (along with every close game). But the game scripts were opposites to me. We had a solid lead for much of the playoff victory and they were playing catchup. In week 1 it was the opposite and we were playing catch up the whole time. This defense is still figure itself out so Im not fretting about the run defense yet and will let it play out more before i do worry. I agree getting better is the primary focus; so do you also feel better after the run defense we showed yesterday?
  7. I don’t even see Wallace in the league. Couldn’t find him on the jags roster.
  8. Reynolds is really their only WR of note after Wilson. Means more attention can be paid to Wilson so that’s good. Michael Carter probably plays but he’s average to above average starter. New coaches so last year doesn’t mean much. They will blitz (5th highest % week 1) and play man so I agree they’ll be aggressive. I would just throw to whoever sauce is not guarding. Preferably whoever Stephen’s is covering. Sneaky game for 11 personnel though if they wanna leave Michael Carter out there against 12 we should be happy to mash them. Tough to use that data because it was with a different team/coach and it was like 0 deg at kickoff.
  9. 35.3% blitz. you aint kidding (5th overall). Also strangely all AFC East teams were in the top 5 for Blitz %.
  10. Fair for DT. I think NYJ edge are a bit better (including depth) than BAL. Hope they can hold up. Q Will has wrecked things for us before and that’s my fear. Torrence seems to be our equalizer for him.
  11. Maybe this conversation is missing the weight of rushing versus passing. If both are equal maybe it’s fair to say the ravens are clearly better. But passing is more important and we clearly have the better QB (for passing), pass rush, and pass catching backs. Ravens are great on the ground but passing > rushing.
  12. I think NYJ has a better DL than BAL and that worries me a quite a bit.
  13. Glenn messed this same situation up for the Jets. Could have had 40 seconds more in the first half he had been more aggressive
  14. Logically it dont make sense. How were we in position to take advantage of one TO (that came really late in the game) if they had this game circled as revenge (all reporting from the sideline was they were just having a good time) and they are clearly the better roster? To me it seems that they had a lot to prove and set out doing it. We are similarly talented and so we kept pace with them (particularly through the second half) so that when they made a critical mistake we were in position to take advantage. Simply being in position to take advantage of ONE TO means they are not clearly the better roster.
  15. Cowboys last year too (not included in the list on the link).
  16. I have found it funny that lead into the game was that Ravens have a better roster AND they circled this game so will give it their best shot. Then after the game its still Ravens gave it their best shot for 3.5 quarters and have a better roster. I just dont understand how you can think they are clearly a better roster and played better for 3.5 quarters but lost. Something has to give there.
  17. Didnt say the game plan prioritizes cook over josh allen. I do disagree that cook has only took over 1 game. Most of the time he takes over its a rout and they stop feeding him (he only has 3 games with over 20 rushing attempts!!!). I do think lots of teams (especially after last year) think stopping the run is the way to make Josh one dimensional and get after him. So yes I think teams game plan around James Cook (the original comment). No team has a game plan against one thing or else you end up like Dallas a few years ago (didnt game plan for the run and couldnt adjust from having a safety play Will) or Seahawks (didnt plan for so many passes and routinely found themselves in bad matchup ala Adams man coverage on Diggs).
  18. Probably should be an exception for the back of the endzone and QBs outside the pocket. WR near the back line is not nearly as much of a blocking threat as someone near the sideline (where the outside the pocket rule would apply most often). Otherwise coaches should teach to push WR out the back against us. This rule has the potential to take away a lot of good plays (like this 2 pt play).
  19. Teams definitely game plan around cook since the cowboy games two years ago. Also a sorta silly comment. Thats like saying teams dont game plan around the bills running game which is one of the best in the league. You absolutely game plan around how yorue gonna defend cook in the run game (probably commit an extra defender for him vs Johnson, Davis). Its not like hes some dude who gets a touch everyone once in a while.
  20. Besides what’s been mentioned I’m taking Milano over Simpson. Definitely Torrence over faalele and maybe even Edward’s. Did y’all miss where ed blew up their entire iOL. This is really much closer than peeps are giving credit (besides Safety and MLB the difference is pretty small).
  21. Pro football reference has him with a 82 passer rating when targeted last year which also shows hes not washed at all.
  22. I was encouraged by Javon Solomon getting snaps in this game. Hoping he can make Epensa be expendable at the trade deadline (both had 16 snaps total).
  23. Im interested to see the LB play on the all 22. Henry got through holes untouched if the DL didnt make a play behind the LoS. Makes me think Milano and Bernard were getting washed (maybe cause DL in front of them wasnt holding up). Some bad angles taken by Safeties but Henry having a full head of steam makes me think the LBs werent doing enough.
  24. Heard he was playing better the last few weeks which would be good cause he was not doing well against the run in the bears game. Bears ran the same play back to back plays at the goaline and he didnt replace the crack block on either (second time WR actually stuck his nose in and hit Lewis which led to a TD).
  25. With Gauff (tennis), Ohtani (Baseball), Leonard (bball), and Mchlaughlin-Levrone (Track) and now Josh, I think NB has my favorite athletes.
