  1. I don't understand the politics of cutting Boobie. Whaley brought in both Dixon and Brown. I get that we paid more for Brown, but I don't think that means Whaley is more beholden to him than Dixon. EDIT: I also don't understand why people think Dez Lewis will make the team with how loaded we are WR right now. He has been hurt so far, and is a rookie. Stash Lewis on the PS, and I would be very surprised to see anyone take him. Then if Harvin acts up you can bring him up, but right now I think Goodwin has to be in.
  2. This part with regards to EJ was interesting. "He’s much less hesitant in his decision making and his accuracy is more consistent. Perhaps the area of his game that has seen the greatest jump is his footwork in the pocket and leading up to the throw." We'll see... still waiting for my ABC membership card to arrive in the mail.
  3. Hughes made a lot of people look bad last year. That said I am also from Missouri (the show me state) with Kujo, but I am very hopeful (to the point that I think he'll start at RT).
  4. You're so fast. Caught me in 3 minutes. I like your avatar btw
  5. I think that means if AW struggles then we struggle too? He better back to practicing soon to make sure hes in good shape. Yeah I messed that up. Dawan Landry is who I meant and yes he is still available. Edit: I am an idiot
  6. There is a lot of doubt in my mind that he, even if healthy, will be on the first team OL when games count (Kujo to replace him). That being said at worst I think hes our swing tackle.
  7. I think a no huddle while Suh is off the field would actually be restful for our O-Line (assuming we get some first downs at some point)
  8. Funny that even the reports on the punters is so different. Joe B is saying, Schmidt has it locked; someone else linked above was saying Gay was making a bit of a competition out of it. So basically all this is useless and I should get back to work?
  9. Yeah very good point. Obviously not the bread and butter, but I expect to see a lot of option type plays. I think the optimal D&D would be second and short/medium for this type of option play. If theres a big hole in the middle, then you hand it off. If there is an open receiver, then you throw the intermediate/long pass. If neither are there (I have to imagine because there are so many defenders everywhere elsewhere), then take the free first down and get down.
  10. I am going to take Sammy, Percy, Woods, Clay, and Shady as speed outside options over Boldin, Crabtree, Stevie, Davis, and Gore last year.
  11. My hope is that our edge weapons are the difference between here and SF. It takes defenders to set the edge. Players who have to commit to the box. If this can be read pre-snap, the adjustment, I would guess, is to get the ball to the players on the outside. We have better players on the outside so if teams do commit to stopping the rollout then we can just get the balls in the hands of Sammy or Percy.
  12. With Rex's comment around EJ using his legs more and his interest in TT, I think Rex and Roman want to execute a lot of roll out/option type plays. I am picturing a clear out route by the wide out with intermediate crossing pattern from the backside, and the QB has the option to hand off, throw (bomb or intermediate), or decent run in space by the QB. This type of offense would get me very excited. Also wasn't it what made Kaep successful (and Wilson still)? Also count me in the ABC club.
  13. I don't even think you have to wait a year because they have the best record in the American League (still sounds weird).
  14. I don't think KtD is talking about up tempo so much as counting the number of guys in the box. If there are >7 then he would suggest TT launches it to a speed demon. If there are <=7, we run it. A little over simple, but I think that's what hes saying.
  15. Best guess is Wood Urbik Incognito Miller (in the far background?)
  16. ahhh.... sarcasm side note do we have sarcasm font here?
  17. I think it will be hard to say who the #2 is at the start of the season between Harvin and Woods. I expect their snap counts to be similar and both to line up in the slot and outside. With that being said I think Woods gets more targets because Harvin draws more attention. I don't think we'll know who the #2 is until mid-season.
  18. From the OP I would drop Bryce Brown and add Fred Jackson Not assume we have Evan Mathis and put Connor as back up FB Buchanan is on PS and Cassel is 3rd QB Good first swing although ambitious with Mathis
  19. Willing to put super bowl tickets on it??? Damn this site just 10x more interesting. But seriously online gambling is baaaad. EDIT: On a serious note I would buy super bowl tickets for you if they went 18-0 (pending 19-0) with you putting up something of way lesser value obviously
  20. I really hope this comes true more than any other bold prediction. I think we winning the division if this is true.
  21. Also new offense. Someone asked if there is any reason to expect the QBs to get better when the pads go on, and I think yes because the offense is new. Also because the #1 receiver is out, and we have new players at TE, RB, and WR2.
  22. How can EJ attempt to achieve this level of competency at the QB position (I understand its just one play but its still funny) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBtMlLnNUCk
  23. You keep saying this but don't link to anything. Do you know something we don't, or as someone else said in another thread are you just trolling?
  24. My thoughts exactly. The name is cheesy but was the best description of their greatest accomplishment of the season (winning in the AFC wildcard and divisional rounds). The colts being in the AFC championship game will be how they and we remember their season (deflategate obviously helps our memory retention); just like how we always remember that the Jets made back to back AFC championships (I don't think they hung a banner though). I believe they just wanted to commemorate their success with something physical. Their division is crap so they wanted to show they did a little more. Short sighted possibly because people will probably forget the terrible division later. I don't mind them putting up banners when the getting is good. Success doesn't last forever. As for the NCAA basketball, I think we all agree there is more parity in the NFL then with the 300 D1 teams in NCAA basketball. I am confused why Final Four or Elite 8 banners are ok but National Runner Up is not. I would think the players have >= pride and <= regret when they look at a National Runner Up Banner versus a Final Four Banner. I still need to learn how to use multiquote.
