  1. Exactly. LOL! It didn't work for Spiro Agnew and it's not working still. One of the benefits of being an ex-pat WNYer is that you can see things more clearly. Living inside the bubble of local media can cloud your thinking. Criticism (or negativity if you like) can be useful if justified. The endless drone of fans who find no fault in anything managers or coaches or players do is just as useless and abrasive as fans who can only find negatives. Sometimes both credit and blame are deserved. I think real fans can express themselves either way. It doesn't mean you're not a Bills fan if, for example, you think the Bills hired a douche bag head coach and his idiot twin brother. Somebody will always be irritated regardless. Agnew thought Viet Nam was a good idea. Oh, those nattering nabobs!!!
  2. I am curious why the medical staff cleared him before the draft and now the medical staff decides he needs surgery. What changed?
  3. It's been used elsewhere for a couple years now. It's nice to know the Bills are slowly catching up to the rest of the world.
  4. I'd rather go to a casino than go to work any day. How can you blame Sammy for hanging out in a casino when he could be with his team? He needs time to unwind and relax. Maybe he can catch up to Johnny Manziel and pick up some pointers from him? I don't know why everyone is so concerned. You really have to work on your moves as you weave through the crowds in a casino! Sammy is just fine tuning his moves among the cocktail waitresses and gamblers. No problem.
  5. The NFL will definitely schedule three home games for the Bills in December. NFL to Buffalo, "Screw you!"
  6. The Titans just fleeced the Rams. What a horrible trade for the Rams!!! You would think they would know better after they had done the same thing to Washington a few years ago. You don't trade away a large chunk of your future on a BIG question mark! Idiots!
  7. Way too early!!!! Too many variables at this time. Ask again in late August.
  8. Kudos to Doug Whaley. He puts the Bills in cap hell and they still don't make the playoffs. The best of both worlds Doug!
  9. You can only say that one factor wins championships if you can control for all the other variables and then do the applicable statistical analysis for signficance. Since this is impossible, the argument is moot. These simplistic arguments like "defense wins championships" or "you need a franchise QB to win" or whatever "fill in the blank" you want are pointless and fruitless arguments best left for people with nothing better to do with their lives. The best you can say is that defense, offense and special teams are important. How do you like that as another useless topic? Maybe someone will start another thread about it?
  10. I think the most interesting thing to consider is that the Broncos drafted Von Miller because they finished the 2010 season at 4-12. The Bills also finished 2010 at 4-12. After finishing with the same record in 2010, look at the difference between the two teams since then. The Broncos have gone 58-22 in the regular season (W% .725) and the Bills have gone 35-45 (W% .438) over the same time period. The Broncos have won the AFC twice in five years and have won the Super Bowl. The Bills have not even made the playoffs. Some teams know what they are doing and some teams don't. It is no coincidence that the same teams are at or near the top every year and vice versa! Unfortunately, I see no reason to feel optimistic about the current Bills management because they are responsible for hiring the latest Bills travesty: Rex Ryan (factually, a proven loser).
  11. Correction: Rex Ryan and Rob Ryan are stealing Peguls's money! Rex found a way to get even more cash from Pegula by hiring his incompetent idiot twin brother. I can picture the two of them sitting on some beach in a couple of years drinking beer and reminiscing about how they bamboozled a billionaire out of $30 million dollars. Sweet deal for two boobs!
  12. This is just what the Bills needed. The Rex Ryan debacle just got worse. He hires his idiot brother as assistant head coach. He hires the defensive coordinator who oversaw the worst defense in the history of the NFL! WTF!!!! I was hoping the Pegulas were smarter people. Apparently, I was wrong.
  13. Thanks for digging up this old post. I wish people took more ownership of the things that say and write.
  14. Losers always find excuses! The coaching kept the Bills out of the playoffs.
  15. I think everybody should avoid any thoughts or opinions that might not agree with your own opinions. By keeping a closed mind to new thoughts and ideas, life is much simpler and less stressful. Why would you ever consider reading or listening to a dissenting opinion... EVER! I can see no point in considering any other opinion than my own. This what makes America great. Form an opinion based on fact or fiction (it doesn't seem to matter) and stick to that opinion regardless of any factual evidence or reason! Just keep drinking the Kool-Aid and live in blissful ignorance.
  16. Watkins biggest obstacle is Greg Roman. He has a brutal record coordinating a passing offense. It's true. Look up his record. Pathetic.
  17. I don't believe this is a surprise to anyone. Pegula has invested a fortune in Rex Ryan and he is unwilling to write off over 25 million dollars after one year. I think Pegula knows in his heart that he hired the wrong guy, but it's terribly hard on a billionaire's ego to admit publicly that he got swindled by a carnival barker like Ryan. Pegula will learn his lesson the hard way just like he did with the Sabres. He will stick with this loser a little too long to save face then he will wake up to reality. It takes a couple years for most owners to recognize their errors. Ryan was a gigantic error. The five year contract was silly given that Ryan has a losing record as a head coach. I can't blame this one on Ralph, but the story remains the same.
  18. It never ceases to amaze me how many excuses losers find for losing. Over the last 16 seasons, the Bills have had easy schedules and few injuries on occasion, but they still haven't made the playoffs. Some top teams have had the hardest schedules and have been decimated by injuries and yet they still find a way to win. Why is that? Have the Patriots had any tough schedules since 2000? Yes. Have they had serious injuries? Yes. How do they manage to win every year? Just luck? Bills fans need to stop with the whining and excuse making! The Jets this year have been better than the Bills. Period. No excuses. The Patriots have been better every year. The are several reasons, but the big ones are that the leadership of every organization. The GM and coaches did a better job with New England and the Jets this year than the Bills and Miami did! The Bills and Dolphins had bad coaching compared to the two top teams in the division. It is not that complicated. Rex Ryan and his staff failed. The Miami staff failed miserably. If Bills fans keep living in denial and think Rex Ryan will make this team a winner then they are deluding themselves. If Bills fans keep living in denial and think that easy/tough schedules or injuries are the reasons for another failed year then they are deluding themselves. It really is pathetic to blame outside factors for this organization's failure. Wake up Bills fans! The damage is self inflicted. If Bill Belichik could have personally selected a bad coach for the Bills to hire last year he would have had a hard time selecting a worse one than Rex Ryan!
  19. Hiring another Ryan would be the ultimate insult to all Bills fans. The Ryan the Bills already have is a complete failure. Why would the Bills want another one? Insanity!
  20. They leave DeAngelo Williams off the team and select McCoy? Wow!
  21. This is really a funny post. Funny as in interesting. I've posted quotes of past predictions before with screen names and the very people who posted their ridiculous predictions or thoughts refuse to acknowledge them. Just like politicians, they try to hide from their past. Go back to the days after the Rex Ryan hiring and read the posts. Hilarious how the masses were duped by Ryan and his stream of BS. Many of those people are still defending Ryan today. Yikes! Even with hindsight they still can't admit it was them who wrote those very comments. Go back and read them to see for yourself. Take a look at the season predictions posts. Also hilarious. 12-4 or 11-5 predictions were commonplace. The Bills were going to dethrone the Patriots. Go back and read them for yourself. Some of the posters have over 10,000 or 20,000 or more posts and it shouldn't be hard to find them. Why do they never confess how wrong they were? Go back to the post that asked how much better the defense was going to be under Ryan vs. Schwartz. The majority said the defense was going to dominate the league under Ryan. What happened to those posters? Did they disappear? I understand human nature enough to realize that admitting mistakes is hard to do. If you go back and read the posts from August and September you might see how mass hysteria can cloud your judgment. In hindsight, the blind baseless optimism that followed the hiring of Rex Ryan was unfounded in logic or history. It is very informative to read those old posts. It helps you to spot the differences between emotional overreactions and rational analysis. Unfortunately, in a forum like this, emotions dominate reason.
  22. Many of you people are focusing on the bread in the toaster and are not aware that the house is on fire. QB is not the main problem now. GM and coaching are where the wheels have fallen off.
  23. The last time this team was great was under Marv Levy and Bill Polian! Without smart leadership, it doesn't matter who the QB is. Get your priorities straight before you B word about the QB. The biggest problem is at the higher levels. The reason this team failed this year is overwhelmingly due to the horrible coaching!!! Ryan and Roman could make Aaron Rodgers a chump! Ryan turned a fearsome top ranked defense into mush! Worrying about the QB first is putting the cart before the horse! Here is the priority list: 1. Owner Pegulas: going nowhere 2. President Brandon: brown nose ticket seller going nowhere 3. GM Whaley: mixed results, bad overpowered the good 4. Head Coach Ryan: epic fail, continues to be a loser 5. Asst coaches: failed miserably, look at the proof 6. Players: mixed results, but the players only are as good as those instructing them (see above) The foundation (steps 3,4,5) must be strong before deciding on the roster (that includes QB!!!). Right now the foundation between the owner and the players is on very shaky ground. This should be the focus.
