  1. Bills shopping in the bargain bin and paying department store prices.
  2. This is the perfect opportunity for Beane to get rid of his massive free agent mistake. Signing this overpriced, over the hill salary cap killer was a huge error.
  3. It's a years problem. He's too old and slow. The NFL is a speed game now and he doesn't have the ability to keep up. Time to move on.
  4. I'll admit I never saw him play. The people who have seen him aren't too excited. Fingers crossed.
  5. I like this pick because games are won and lost in the trenches.
  6. If they drafted the next Travis Kelce, it's a home run. If they drafted anyone other than the next Kelce, it is a reach they can't afford. If the Bills had a top 10 offensive line this pick is fine, but they don't!
  7. The Bills have apparently decided the position to save money is offensive tackle. Just keep the same guys that failed last year and hope Josh Allen doesn't notice. How is your elbow feeling Josh?
  8. I think it's too early to draw any conclusions. However, I always try to remember that the game is relative to your competition. A team can improve and still fall farther behind the competition if the others teams improve more. It was proven last year that the Bills were not good enough. How has the Bills team improved so far compared to other top teams? On that basis, the Bills are slightly behind where they were last year. Other teams have made some significant additions and the Bills have made a couple minor questionable additions. Since it was Beane who got the Bills into salary cap trouble, I don't think he deserves kudos for re-structuring the mess he created. Beane gave new signing WR Harty a two year deal for $13.5 million even though he hasn't proven much. On the other hand, the Saints gave RB Jamaal Williams a 3 yr. deal for $12 million. Williams has proven he's very productive. These are the type of deals that show me Beane isn't the genius GM most Bills fans think he is. Beane has to improve the team. Although the jury is still out, he's got a lot to prove. Remember Spencer Brown almost ruined the career of the franchise player Josh Allen last year and it appears the Bills are keeping the status quo at right tackle. Cinci and KC are adding quality to their OL's and the Bills are juggling average to mediocre linemen. It's time for Beane to get serious if they are going to contend next year.
  9. Yikes! The guy has a great agent. The contract is rich for a tiny receiver with no stats.
  10. ‘Something is rotten in the state of Denmark’ - Hamlet Does anybody else get the feeling that there are problems within the organization at this time? It doesn't feel like a well oiled machine. Some players are wanting out and even the DC left. I hope this isn't the case, but something doesn't feel right.
  11. IMO, the game is won or lost in the trenches. Clearly, both OL and DL are not good enough. I would prioritize the OL as the top problem to address. There are several other areas of need, but you have to protect your franchise player first. I think the jury is still out on James Cook, but I have seen enough of Singletary. He has no burst or explosiveness, no speed, no power, and mediocre evasiveness. I think the jury is still out on Khalil Shakir, but after Diggs the WR corp is not good enough. Gabe Davis was a huge disappointment. The others are journeymen. Greg Rousseau shows promise, but Epenesa, Basham, and the others are not good enough. The linebackers as a group are not playmakers. Just check out the athleticism and explosiveness of the 49er's linebackers as an example. No comparison. No point in going on and on, but Beane and McD have built a team incapable of winning the Super Bowl at this point. The four teams left in the playoffs are all superior to the Bills.
  12. All the Titans had to do was make a fairly routine FG at the end to win the game. The Giants should have lost. Daboll is definitely not a genius.
  13. Insanely bad contract for the Bills. A good contract if it was 2016. Great deal for Miller.
  14. McDermott has to improve. Explaining his decision to go for it on fourth down, he said after the game that he trusts his players. He also said he didn't want to give the Titans another chance because they were dominating the Bills defense in the second half. In other words, he trusted the offense to get the first down, but he didn't trust his defense to stop the Titans if the game went to overtime. Weak answer. This is talking out of both sides of your mouth. McDermott's response to the question was poor and unacceptable. I agree with the decision to go for it, but the play call was abysmal. This is partly due to the Bills not having a quality running back or a strong offensive line. Did you see Dion Dawkins get blown up on the play? Pathetic. The play call was the real weak link. What sense does it make to QB sneak into an area packed tightly with 300+ lb. lineman and no space whatsoever? None. The Bills lost a game that they should have won. This loss was on the coaching. Titans DL was crushing the Bills OL the whole game and on fourth down you forget that fact? Hopefully McDermott will learn from it. And hopefully another team will hire Daboll next year.
  15. Two obvious issues: 1.) Horrendous play calling (and coaching by extension) 2.) No NFL quality running backs (Singletary and Moss are nothing more than bench depth)
  16. I would guess that they are counting on the decency and honesty of those who enter the stadium. Hopefully, these people are less selfish and self centered to consider the welfare of others. If only certain players would share the same respect for others. It's not about me, me, me all the time. Other people matter!
  17. After two picks, I am so relieved the Bills selected lineman. They have serious needs in many areas, but building the lines first makes the most sense. I think they were solid picks.
  18. Yessss please! ...wait I have to turn off my alarm clock! Here is what I think will happen. Beane will trade up or trade down. He is restless and impulsive and he can't seem to help himself. He thinks he's being creative, but actually it's impatience. My hope for the draft at the top end is drafting the OL and DL in either order. Jonah Williams or Jawaan Taylor on offense. You can't overestimate the value of the offensive line. It makes average QB's and RB's good, and makes good ones great. The problem with the Bills is that they have needs on both sides of the ball. The DL definitely needs help. There are four or five top guys who could help the Bills immediately. I would prefer an interior lineman (i.e. Williams, Oliver) If the Bills trade down a little they still might get Christian Wilkins and pick up another pick. I'm reluctant to draft a TE at #9, but there is strong need there to be sure. I hope big men are at the top of the board. My fear is they draft a WR like DK Metcalf who looks better on paper than reality.
  19. If you plotted the free agents that have been signed so far on a spectrum from "camp fodder" to "All Pro", I think it would be fair to say most are somewhere in the middle. Basically, the signings are average on balance. There are a couple slightly above average, but there are also some purely speculative and others based on wishful thinking. Several are basically mediocre career back-ups. I can always sense the optimism when the Bills management does anything! Just because the Bills have done something this off-season shouldn't automatically lead to the conclusion that it will pay off. However, I do like the emphasis being paid to the offensive line. I'll give positive marks for addressing this area of desperate need! Whether the signings succeed remains to be seen. It is also important to consider the dismal state of affairs at seasons' end. A team that had a 6-10 record has tremendous room for improvement. The bar is very low. As a long time Bills fan, I've seen this story many times before. Don't forget to consider, the opposition is trying to improve as well. I would guess the Jets are even more optimistic than the Bills.
  20. I was thinking about the free agents that the Bills are expected to sign this year and it seems to me the Bills are building an average team. Maybe these average players will become stars and the Bills will contend for a Super Bowl. I guess it's theoretically possible. The Bills have always been able to sign and overpay free agents, but the point is to make the team better by doing so. Sadly, history shows the failures far outnumber the successes for the Bills in this area.
  21. I totally agree. What the !@#$ is wrong with these knuckledraggers who are against free speech and freedom of the press? Are you kidding me? What the hell is wrong with a dissenting point of view? This is America you a$$holes. I am really worried for this country if we believe it is alright to attack the free press and complain about freedom of speech. The Pegulas should be ashamed of themselves! What an un-American disgraceful act of cowardice. What a bunch of pussies who are afraid to hear criticism. You may disagree with Sullivan and Gleason, but it is an American right to be able to express their opinions without being blackballed by some arrogant thin skinned billionaire. God save America from these morons.
