If there was a Hall of Fame for MEDIOCRE these would be excellent candidates!!! I am amazed how Bills fans find comfort in mediocrity.

How do you know it's low cost?

Bills to trade Kiko Alonso for LeSean McCoy
Billsguy replied to CNY315's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I doubt everything Whaley has done. I thought the Watkins trade was awful and unnecessary given the lack of QB and the quantity of excellent WR's in last years' draft. I thought the hiring of a proven loser Rex Ryan (record 46W-50L) as head coach was a mistake. Now my worst fear is that he trades for Jay Cutler or signs Mark Sanchez. -
Bills to trade Kiko Alonso for LeSean McCoy

Doug Whaley likes his shiny toys. Sammy Watkins last year Shady McCoy this year. One of these days he'll get an NFL quality QB. -
All Things Incognito (Richie returns, signs contract)

He's a low life punk as far as most people are concerned. -
Bills athletic trainers are selected as best in NFL
Billsguy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would like the coaching staff and the team to win something now! In addition, bring back the Buffalo Jills and pay them! -
How does the person responsible for drafting Cyrus Kouandjio (Doug Whaley) defend the selection? Why does everybody love Whaley as GM?

Someone Tell Me Again Why Buddy Traded Lynch...
Billsguy replied to cale's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It all begins with the offensive line. OJ Simpson was garbage behind a bad offensive line. If the openings aren't there, it doesn't matter who is carrying the ball. The Bills over the last 12-15 years think you can build a top OL with journeymen and low draft picks and free agents. It doesn't work. The Bills need to prioritize the OL and suddenly average RB's become stars and average QB's look good. -
Pegula's Ownership Era Off To A Great Start !!
Billsguy replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Time will tell if the Pegula era is off to a great start. Nobody can know at this point. If history is your guide, look at the records of the key principles. Pegula - a savior financially for the Sabres, Bills and WNY. However, as a Sabres owner, success has been elusive to say the least. Time will tell. Brandon - can sell tickets, but personnel decisions have been very questionable. Whaley - his signature move was trading two 1st round picks and a 4th round pick to draft a WR for a team with no established QB. His failure to acquire a top QB is still active. Rex Ryan - an experienced head coach with a sub .500 win pct. lifetime. After 96 games as a mediocre head coach (his record) will he be able to become a winning head coach? Time will tell. If all 4 key principles in the Bills organization improve dramatically, the future can be brighter! -
Article: Bills who benefit most from Rex Ryan hire
Billsguy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Doug Whaley and Russ Brandon. Big winners! Rex Ryan immediately will take all the attention and focus off Whaley and Brandon. They couldn't be happier! The less people look at their record, the happier and more secure they will feel. Happy Days! -
No one can deny Rex is a master of the press conference.

New $700 Million Buffalo Bills Stadium May Soon Be Built
Billsguy replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let's be realistic - it has to be a dome of some sort. I would favor a retractable dome. Period. And it must be at least 75,000 seats. -
I'm sorry, but I think we took a big step back
Billsguy replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In brief, the Bills hire a new coach who guided the Jets to a record of 4-12 last year and everyone seems to be ecstatic. The Bills lose their defensive coordinator (the truly bright spot on the team) who guided the defense to a top 5 finish and nobody seems bothered. The Bills keep their GM, who I believe made one of the worst trades in Bills history, and everybody seems to be thrilled. The Bills are on the verge of hiring an offensive coordinator from SF whose offenses ranked 25th and 24th over the last two seasons in points scored and everybody seems excited and optimistic. If I was a fan of the Pats,Dolphins and Jets, I would be very pleased with the moves the Bills have made. Unfortunately, as a lifelong Bills fan, the moves made by the current owners and GM have been very questionable to be generous. I guess Bills fans are so starved for success that any change is seen as positive even when the objective evidence contradicts their hopes and beliefs. Cognitive dissonance at its finest. -
NEW HEAD COACH: Rex Ryan! It's Official!
Billsguy replied to K D's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It seems like the vast majority of posters on TBD are loving the selection of Rex Ryan as new head coach. This is obviously some type of mass delusion! He is a charismatic loser to be sure who replaces a non-charismatic loser. Is that what you call an upgrade? Wow. I give up trying to understand the world when black is white and day is night. I guess you see what you want to see. The next move to seal the deal: Whaley trades a 1st round pick in 2016 for Jay Cutler!!! The final straw! -
Do you approve hiring Rex Ryan as HC
Billsguy replied to /dev/null's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hell no! He's a proven loser! He's not even a .500 coach. What makes anyone think he's going to change? Clueless! -
NEW HEAD COACH: Rex Ryan! It's Official!

True cost of Bills' Watkins trade
Billsguy replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are correct to point out that the mistake on the EJ Manuel pick led to the mistake on the Sammy Watkins trade/pick. Both decisions were bad and this is the main reason Doug Whaley should have been fired by now. However, it seems Mr. Pegula is content with Whaley. Now that Whaley seems to be at the center of the search for a new head coach, I'm hoping his string of catastrophic errors doesn't continue. I strongly believe that history will show Whaley blew it and it will set back the Bills significantly. -
MMQB: The unusual case of Doug Marrone
Billsguy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Another reason why Russ Brandon needs to go. He basically got out-negotiated by the agent and cost the owner $4 million dollars. The man in the Teflon suit (Brandon) seems to avoid all responsibility and blame for his blunders. Brandon is the ultimate politician. (no, that's not a compliment) -

Scathing article in NY Daily News on Marrone
Billsguy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good for Terry Pegula to call his bluff. What the heck did Marrone ever accomplish to be so demanding? Nothing! The Bills will be better off without him and Whaley. -
A serious question, why the faith in Whaley?
Billsguy replied to Kellyto83TD's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He doesn't deserve to keep his job. The Watkins trade was more than enough evidence of his incompetence. The argument that he is being ruined by not having a QB is ridiculous. It is like the boy who kills both his parents and then asks the sentencing judge for leniency because he is an orphan! It is a debacle of his own making. No other GM in the league would have made that Watkins trade. And with the benefit of hindsight, it is clearly obvious how stupid it was in reality. Why would you make the trade without a proven QB already in place? The cart does not belong in front of the horse. QB first, then other positions. Would you trade Odell Beckham Jr. and a first round pick for Sammy Watkins. Hell no! This is essentially what the Bills (Whaley) did! Major Fail. If Marrone was pissed at this trade, I don't blame him one bit. Before he opted out, I wouldn't be surprised if Marrone asked Pegula/Brandon if Whaley was staying on as GM. Assuming they told him that Whaley was staying, I think Marrone concluded that more stupid moves were imminent and that he better jump from Whaleys' sinking ship. BTW, the man in the teflon suit (Russ Brandon) needs to go also for hiring and sticking with Whaley. -
Doug Marrone opts out of contract
Billsguy replied to The Poojer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is a smart move by the Pegulas and a smart move by Marrone. If you consider Marrone has no QB and no 1st round draft pick next year, the chances of improvement were small. In addition, with the job market opening up he stands a good chance of making more money elsewhere. I never thought he was up to the job. His decision making was flawed frequently and he seemed testy when anyone called him on his numerous tactical errors. Goodbye and good riddance. Hopefully Marrone takes his entire staff, except Schwartz, with him. Hopefully, Brandon and Whaley are sent packing too. This could be the start of a new era for the Bills if Pegula hires wisely. Fingers crossed Pegula sees what a failure Whaley has been. Trading up a few spots to pick a WR while sacrificing a 1st round pick is atrocious and is grounds for termination by itself! On to a brighter future! -
Can Somebody tell me why Rex Ryan would be in high Demand?
Billsguy replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't get it either. He is a proven blowhard who just failed miserably. Why would any team want this turd?
