So the Monday after the Titans game last year, the kids and I head to the airport for our flight home. A certain 70's era ex-Bill is also awaiting a flight and talking loudly on his phone. He is basically saying Josh Allen sucks and will never amount to anything and that the Bills are going to be bad for a long time because of this move. Right then and there, I became a Josh Allen fan and I really wanted the Bills to get Darnold. Josh is a developmental prospect who showed immense promise last year. After the bye, he matured right before our eyes. He has a great support system around him now. All is in place for him to progress...but my caution is don't go too far the other way...don't get irrationally exuberant but let him grow.

When Belichick retires, I hope the Pats hire that year's version of Kliff Kingsbury...

Ten picks won't make this roster. Bills have enough roster fillers, they need another difference maker or two on defense that can improve pressure (either a 3 technique inside or an edge rusher or both) and on offense (TE to open the seam). I'd be fine pulling a "Ditka" to leverage and trade the existing 10 picks for something higher than 9, another first in the 20's and a high second...I know I am crazy...and it may not be doable.

I have about a dozen close friends and business associates who are Saints fans. We share an automatic kinship with the passion for our teams. You see it by living there. I love Saints fans...they tend to be just great people and lots of fun.

My father and my two older brothers (much older) were very abusive mentally and physically. In today's world, my life would have been headline material and I would either be a regular guest on Dr. Phil or the subject of a CNN documentary. However, in the 60's it was kind of a normal way to treat the runt of the family. Simply put, compliance with the dictatorship was the easiest path. The Bills were the preferred team of the regime. 58+ years later, here I am..checking a damn Bills message board multiple times a day to see if the team signed a 3rd string punter off the Chargers practice squad.
