  1. Bills signed 18 free agents....We are only getting comp picks if we figure out a way to steal them!!!
  2. When it's too tough for them, its just right for us....I love being ignored....
  3. https://frontofficenfl.com/2017/03/27/nfl-rookie-contracts-explained-fifth-year-option/ This is one of the better explanations I have seen. The option for Shaq is the average of the 3rd to 25th highest players at his position. It is only guaranteed in case of injury before March of next year (the start of the league year). If he is on the roster for the start of the league year, its fully guaranteed. When a team exercises the option, it becomes guaranteed for injury only. If the player is on the team’s roster at the start of the League Year in his option season, his salary becomes fully guaranteed for skill, cap and injury. If they don't exercise it, they really don't want him because there is very little risk of exercising it.
  4. Not sure the 18 stats are published yet, but in 17 the Bills were 66% nickel. Some of us have been debating about depth at LB but it really doesn't matter that much on Game day. Keeping 5 active is enough. So how does this fit into the discussion about adding a DE...potentially three ways.. 1) Tremaine Edmunds would be an interesting option at rush end sometimes (maybe 5-10 snaps a game) in the nickel 6'5" 250, fast.... 2) Joseph, Neal and Jaquan Johnson would have to develop into a crew that the Bills trust putting at big Nickel LB 3) Put Oliver at DE in some formations--he would run circles around, under and through OTs and TEs....again this is a 5-10 snaps scenario a game max Bills have a lot of parts on D...not sure Ansah is necessary but with 66% nickel, you need lots of alternatives at DE...including some unorthodox ones. If Ansah can give you 20 snaps on a $5-7 million one year prove it deal -- I would be all for it.
  5. Thanks, Yolo. Really appreciate what you do for the board.
  6. I think (speculation only) the Pegulas see Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott as our answer to Mickey Loomis (18th year) and Sean Payton (14th year). The next two years would have to be less than 6 wins each or some major scandal would have to unfold for anything to change. Even Payton and Loomis survived Bounty Gate. On the other side of this discussion, I strongly suspect that both GM and Coach are looking at long extensions if this is a playoff year.

  8. http://www.espn.com/college-football/player/_/id/4040761/devin-singletary Is this right...700+ carries and no fumbles....wowza
  9. I love what he did for the Bills, but I can also see why his shelf life with a team is about 5-7 years. His personality seems abrasive, insufferable and arrogant and I should know because that describes me... ?
  10. Total agreement Lurker. Get back into the bottom of the second by packaging the 3rd, 4th and 5th. He stated that the difference between a good UDFA that fell for no reason and a 5th round pick is basically single-digit percentages and that, of course, HE WAS THE BEST at finding UDFA...
  11. He did sound like Statler and Waldorf all rolled into one freaking arrogant bastage....you are dead on there my friend.
  12. I heard the whole thing on the way to the gym...I think you left out some key parts. He stated that the media pundits have access to about 20% of the information teams use to evaluate prospects and even former scouts and GMs like him have tops 40%. The medical records, psychological tests, and personality profiles are all confidential information and critical to evaluating the prospect. I agree he sounded like an old arrogant prick when pointing this out -- but he speaks the truth. He also stated that he doesn't believe in a reach...and he gave some great data: 30-year study: 57% of first round picks become productive starters 43% of second round picks become productive starters 30% of third-round picks become productive starters 20% of fourth-round picks become productive starters Lesson don't accumulate picks -- but focus on where you get productive starters. I thought it was some of the best draft analysis I have heard in quite some time...
  13. Pancho is blessed to be our brother and we are blest to have him. I think about him in the middle of Cowboy country cheering for the Bills with heart and passion. He still has the fight and drive to give Cancer an ass-kicking. Brandon, Coach and the Pegulas get what it means to be a Bills fan. It's more than just a team, it's a passion, it's a culture, it's a family. This leadership gets us and is building a team to reflect this. One of Coach's comments last night is that during Ed Oliver's pro day he could smell his passion for the game like smelling the Cheerios from the General Mills plant off the 190. Well, I smell the fire of this leadership team like Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
  14. Whaley’s gone. Someone tell the Jets
  15. 9: R1P9 DL QUINNEN WILLIAMS ALABAMA 21: R1P21 OT ANDRE DILLARD WASHINGTON STATE 147: R5P9 LB BOBBY OKEREKE STANFORD 158: R5P20 TE JOSH OLIVER SAN JOSE STATE 181: R6P8 CB JORDAN BROWN SOUTH DAKOTA STATE 225: R7P11 EDGE JORDAN BRAILFORD OKLAHOMA STATE 228: R7P14 WR TRAVIS FULGHAM OLD DOMINON Traded 2nd-8; 3rd-10; 4th-10 and 4th-29 to get Seattle 1-21 when Dillard started to fall....an 11 point premium (811 for 800) on the draftek draft value chart.
  16. ?Cancer Sucks....Love to Pancho and family..
  17. Dexter is one of my stepson's friends from HS (Wake Forest, NC)...he fits the McBeane culture. The success at Clemson has only made him hungrier to do well in the NFL. He is willing to do the dirty work of taking on double and triple teams for the good of the defense. He is a rather large and very quick human being and a wonderful young man.
  18. Good job BB....would be ecstatic if both Sweat and Dexter were Bills...
  19. Its the Cardinals....and I would guess NE would then pick 2nd on Friday night...others have pointed out-- I bet they would lose the benefit of a first-round pick - the fifth year option.
  20. If this were the scenario, It would make more sense to trade back in the first and recoup the second.
  21. Pop understands human beings, not just players. McD has the same gene. That's why I am brimming with optimism about the Bills.
  22. Fanspeak.com for me. Here is my latest. I would be really happy with this. I used the Fanspeak Brad board. No way Savage and Hurd are where they are picked but I can dream. Both Abram and Savage can play in dime and play big nickel. Coach McD and Coach Frazier would be really happy with this. The key to this draft is unlocking Gary's potential. 24: R1P24 DL CHRISTIAN WILKINS CLEMSON 27: R1P27 EDGE RASHAN GARY MICHIGAN 42: R2P10 TE IRV SMITH ALABAMA 57: R2P25 S JOHNATHAN ABRAM MISSISSIPPI STATE 112: R4P10 LB VOSEAN JOSEPH FLORIDA 128: R4P26 RB MILES SANDERS PENN STATE 147: R5P9 LB JAHLANI TAVAI HAWAII 165: R5P27 S DARNELL SAVAGE MARYLAND 181: R6P8 WR JALEN HURD BAYLOR 183: R6P10 CB COREY BALLENTINE WASHBURN
  23. Cleat stability is the key with him...
