The myth of the sophomore QB slump
machine gun kelly replied to Buffalo716's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
716 and Jeff, well written and researched takes so thanks. I couldn’t agree more with a second year, more comfortability with two of the WR in Foster and Jones, Plus al of the other pieces, including beyond offense, Oliver wreaking havoc on the interior of opposing QB’s, should give us shorter fields on average ( a boy can dream Oliver or Hughes sacking Brady three times in the first half. In September). i don’t remember if Allen went to a school that wouldn’t let their players go to minicamps until after the semester or not. This is going to be a fun year. Im the eternal optimist as many of you have said to me, and still wanting to see 10-6, and one playoff win. That would be a great year while Father Time keeps ticking away at Brady. Lastly, we have an extra $22 mil in cap space, and with likely cuts will climb to $33 mil, plus another $10 mil cap increase, to extend the one year prove it deals we made this year in free agency. The future looks bright. 500 -700 rushing yards from Allen and 3500 yards passing is conceivable. Have a great Sunday as we all wait for training camp and jealous I can’t be with you at the open practices. -
Who has a better chance of making the 53?
machine gun kelly replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I voted for McKenzie, but anyone to make the 6th spot is going to make it for primarily special teams. The previous poster is right in that we have Forster, and Brown for any gadget plays. -
I don’t know if this is coming from his interview on WGR the other day, but he is not a legend. He’s a guy who didn’t quit though and a nice person from what I can tell. I listened to the piece and Tasker was mentioning how he was a high school football coach, now a coach for Aurora University. I have no idea where is Aurora, but glad he was on our team during those years just in that he wasn’t a quitter. It was cool I believe he tied or close to Brady in he attended 6 SB, and has one ring.

Bills ranked 19th best fan base

Exactly, this came up in last year’s article. It’s not accurate, and who cares. We know we have great fans. -
The announcer should never bring up fatherhood and tie it to coaching. He has no idea the personal circumstances of Reid, and it is nobody’s business. I feel bad for his wife hearing this reference as I can only assume it eventually made it to her. If you don’t like him as a coach, keep you’re opinions to those points.

[Vague Title] Cause for optimism
machine gun kelly replied to oldmanfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’ll wait til November to be disappointed, and before optimistic. We’ll know by November if this team really has improved especially if we beat some of the historical top teams like Pitt, Pats, Ravens, etc., and have to beat the teams we think we can beat. -
This draft is depressing as even Shaq is on the bubble. I know Polian would commonly say if you're hitting on 60% or better you're in the ballpark of a very good GM. He said his lifetime as well as Ron Wolf, both in the HOF were at57-60%. Gil Brandt going in this year said the same thing. I have real hope though and confidence with this administration. I don't blame the Pegulas for making the mistake on Ryan and Whaley as they were new owners, but in my opinion, they did it right on the second round.

7th Rd. Draft Pick Jordan Poyer...Play Maker
machine gun kelly replied to Court Jester's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The OP makes a good point and another example is emerging in Foster. -
I believe Beane will eventually become the most significant GM since Butler. Butler’s only downfall is he didn’t manage the cap well. He did have a great eye for talent. That late 90’s defense was probably the best I can remember.

The Chargers have talent, but stupid for any player to make a SB prediction. -
Division Power Rankings: AFC East comes in last

I understand the author, but it’s not exactly a new theme about how weak is the rest of the AFCE after the Pats.
