I agree with the one day contract to let him retire a Bill. No way for the WOF. He was an above avg RB on a bad team and a lovable guy, but the WOF is for the best Bills in it's 57 year history.

I've never been that impressed with Woods meaning he's just average. Gilmore is a loss, but he was demanding too much money. We replaced with other cheaper players from the draft, so we can only hope they are upgrades or similar. Not picking up Barnidge or Maclin with the cap space would be sin. It's not like we have some impending large QB contract next year where we need money in reserves.

I think he's awesome, and love his personality, but more upset we didn't take him over Troup.

He's still good. Would be a great addition and from spotrac we have the money. Why is it the only ones we need another WR or TE are people on this site? We have the line, we have the running game, TT I believe will get better if we have a full compliment of weapons. I'm an optimist and with better coaching and scheme the defense will be better. Greater attn to detail, reacting quicker, we could have a better team. We definitely would benefit from another weapon. It can be a one to two year prove it deal.

Um no to Byrd. He's been horrible for three years and held out with that fake foot injury his final year. Barnidge would be a nice addition if at a reasonable price. I think overdorff is on notice to get these contracts right moving forward.

Barnidge is simply playing the bidding war game. He would be a nice upgrade from where we are at today.

I like where you're head's at Doc. We need Sammy healthy, and if so we have more weapons and we have a far better coaching staff than the buffoons the last two years. No one should underestimate going to a 4-3 which our talent is designed for success, and improved communication and players can react not hesitate.

As one person mentioned, success hinges on improved defensive play. We should see that this year with this coaching staff. I don't know how far, but making the playoffs as a wildcard is plausible.

He's not going to make it to 45. Guys bodies break down after 40. Favre for all of his faults was one of the toughest QB's and broke down after 40. I know the 2 second release helps, but he'll not make it more than a couple of years.

We have two first round picks next year that along with a later pick is the capital to get us a franchise QB next year with a much better QB draft class. He also traded up as he knows the first three rounds are where you find starters. It was a great draft and if Peterman works out, awesome. Either way we picked up two safety free agents, drafted Gilmore's replacement, and a WR to compliment Sammy. Lastly, we get a RT who is a road grater.

You make a point. Two first next year sets them up for a QB. A third wouldn't be bad so we could get top QB. Maybe Tyron works out for two years under new coaching, but they will draft a QB next year even if to sit for one year. I hope Tyron gets us to 10-6 this year. Beat Miami split with New England and at least win one playoff game. You know unless injury to Brady NE will win the division.

Guys - you may hate the days of his influence in football operations, but marketing the teams for both sports has delivered results. I live in Tampa where there is 3 million people in the greater area. Buffalo has more season tickets than the Bucs. Keep him away from hiring football people and just stay on the business side of both operations. He's going nowhere.
