  1. No offense, but this "expert" seems like an unhinged idiot. Loses all credibility calling Rosen a mid-4th round talent.
  2. I don't get those who are criticizing him. He needs a carrot to drive him forward in his rehab. And football is that carrot. Don't worry. He will never play again. No chance.
  3. I'm a UCLA alumnus and this was the biggest problem with his game. He'll throw some absolute head scratchers under pressure. If you give him a clean pocket, there isn't a better passer at the college level. He's one of the best pure passers to come out in quite awhile.
  4. McCarron, imo. Younger, cheaper, better measureables and a better/more refined thrower from the pocket. A "bridge" guy is someone you throw out there not to lose you a game. Execute the gameplan and hit the easy throws. I think either of these two can do that, but as stated above, McCarron is younger and cheaper.
  5. I absolutely believe the plan is to move into the top-5 and draft a qb. It seems pretty clear after the Tyrod and Glenn trades and our focus on D in FA. However, I could see come scenario where the asking price to get into the top-5 is deemed to be just too high, or there's a couple of surprise picks in the first 4 that causes our qb targets to drop and we sit around and grab a Baker Mayfield or Mason Rudolph further down in the first round.
  6. Uh oh! Does that mean we have illiterate monkeys running the team?
  7. Good signing. Has some experience. Seems like a very solid backup who can start in a pinch.
  8. Brissett is only 24 and has shown some promise. Indy was a putrid team last year. I would have no problem with Brissett as a back-up, "bridge" starter or developmental guy.
  9. I'm locked and loaded. Now, where can I find the messenger?
  10. Wow! This really is shocking! Who is Trent Murphy, btw?
  11. I have absolutely no problem with signing Kaep. He's the best QB on the free agent market and he's not a criminal or anything.
  12. This was my very first thought after hearing the Glenn news. "I hope Hughes is next."
  13. True that! I absolutely love this trade! Even if we don't trade up and instead sign a veteran QB and draft a ton of young talent I'll be happy. I trust McBeane's vision at this point.
  14. If healthy, he is a clear upgrade over Tyrod. He was steadily improving in his two years before his injury.
  15. What? The American medical system obviously has its flaws, but our current cancer treatments are not "BS." I had childhood bone cancer and I wouldn't be here today, 30 years later, with a wife and 2 kids, if it hadn't been for my chemo, radiation and the great doctors and medical staff at Roswell Park. Prayers for Jim and his family.
  16. These posts are hilarious. We make the playoffs for the first time in 17 years and now people are "done" with the franchise because we are keeping our capable starting QB to serve for a year as a bridge QB?
  17. Sign Veteran QB. Hold picks or even trade back for additional future value. We have a lot of holes, so go BPA. If that happens to be QB, then great. If not, then grab another Peterman type in the latter rounds. We are in a good spot and can get a lot of longtime starters out of this draft. None of these QBs are sure things.
  18. Sorry to hear that, man. Best of luck of to you.
  19. Brady is GOAT. They were dead yet again and he wills them to victory.
  20. This game is far from over.
  21. Well, in Rosen's defense, he lead the #4 passing offense in the country and he got very little help from the running game (#114). As for wins and losses, UCLA's defense was ranked 123 out of 130 FBS teams. Basically, Rosen was the entire UCLA team and the only reason they didn't go 1-11 or 2-10.
  22. I'm actually worried about the dude. He took two or three other brutal shots to the head today that I was certain were going to end his day. Brain injuries can be cumulative and I wouldn't be surprised if he was feeling the effects of today for quite awhile into the off-season.
  23. Tyrod is an average QB. He looks good against crap defenses, average against average ones, and bad against good ones. He's a serviceable dude and a decent stopgap. It's clear we need to draft our guy for the future and we finally have the ammunition to do it. Let's be bold and get our guy. Thanks to Tyrod for keeping us respectable the past three years.
