  1. Hamler looks skinnier to me than Lil Dirty. He's more like Deonte Harty or Roscoe Parrish. If he makes the team, he'll make a handful of eye popping plays and spend half the season on IR.
  2. I don't mind the approach at all. But we still need a number 1 receiver. Maybe Coleman becomes that guy, but it is a major question mark at the moment.
  3. I mean, we know he can play when motivated. He's 25 and doesn't have an injury history. He should just be hitting his prime now. The question is whether his attitude is right. If he's suddenly transformed into a hardworking, team first guy, then this is a great signing. I don't have much hope, since you don't really see guys just flip their personalities in their mid-20s. I guess Cris Carter is a guy that turned it around. Just have to wait and see.
  4. I don't like the player at all. A tiger doesn't change its stripes, so I fully expect him to show his true self in camp and get kicked to the curb before final cuts. But, we are in desperation mode at wide receiver, so this is what you get I guess. We absolutely need one of Hamler, Claypool, Isabella, Shorter or Cephus to pan out and contribute. I assume Hollins sticks as a special teamer and bottom of the depth chart receiver. I like Shakir a lot as a potential no. 2/3 and Samuel as a no. 3, and I'm hoping Coleman can slot into the Gabe Davis role, but damn, that is a really weak receiver room. We are going to really need to utilize Kincaid, Cook and Knox in the passing game.
  5. Correct. And there's got to be something there beyond just a mediocre combine that is concerning teams. He's got great advanced stats and proves his skills on the field over multiple seasons.
  6. Yeah, he does pass the eye test. Not blazing fast, but really good athlete, pretty smooth for his size, goes up and gets the ball in contested catch situations. There's a lot to like there. I think he projects as an upgrade on Gabe Davis as the vertical threat in the offense. Don't see him as the do it all #1 guy.
  7. He's got good release technique that makes up for non-elite burst in the first 10 yards. His biggest weakness to me is his contested catch ability. He's a guy that needs to catch it in space.
  8. Some of these takes....just jeez. Hill is a generational talent and he's got 25 pounds on Worthy. And in an odd and obviously tragic coincidence, two of the four fastest players committed vehicular manslaughter.
  9. I'm sure you've seen this, Logic, but if not, here's some more salve for the wound:
  10. That's where the ESPN mock had the Bills taking him this morning. Had us going DeJean/Franklin with our 2nd round picks. If that actually came to fruition, I'd be ecstatic.
  11. If there's a guy they love, then sure, they should stay put and grab him. But if they have McConkey, Mitchell, Franklin, Coleman all sort of ranked similarly on their board, then I think they should move back a bit to increase the value of one of their later 2nd or 3rd rounders.
  12. I think Kincaid can be an elite pass catching tight end, probably as early as next year. Cook is a very good back (though needs to clean up the easy drops). We need to draft two receivers between the 2nd and 3rd rounds and hope that one of them turns into, at minimum, an 80 catch, 1000 yard guy.
  13. If you're not going to take DeJean, then this scenario makes the most sense. I really hope Beane is able to pull off a trade back. The other option is taking DeJean and trying to move back up in the 2nd round to grab a guy like Franklin or Coleman. I assume both of those guys will be gone by pick 60.
  14. I love what Beane did yesterday. Once the top three receivers came off the board and there wasn't an immediate run on the second tier of receivers, I definitely wanted Beane to trade back for additional draft capital in the second and third rounds. Just taking a look at all of the good players available on the board right now, I wouldn't be against being moving back another few pics to increase the value of our second second round pick. There's a decent chance we walk away with our new starting center and two receivers that can contribute as rookies.
  15. It's definitely concerning. Beane has to draft two WRs in the second and third rounds tomorrow, right?
  16. I'd say zero. The opposing defense would jam the receivers and the safeties would crowd all the short stuff knowing id have zero chance of completing anything down the field more than 5-10 yards. I guess there's always the chance of my receiver catching a jumpball or something, but that's really none of my doing.
  17. We clearly need to trade for Justin Jefferson. I've done the maths and they tell me he'd routinely post 2000 yards with Josh Allen.
  18. I believe Bass will bounce back this year. I suspect he had some sort of lingering injury that was affecting him.
  19. No thanks. Keep the picks and ride or die with Mack Hollins. On second thought...
  20. Shakir, more than any Bills receiver in the last 24 years, reminds me of my childhood favorite, Andre Reed. I think he's going to emerge as Josh's favorite WR target and have a huge year. Assuming we find a solid X receiver via the draft who can grow into a contributor over the course of the season, I think our receiving room could actually go from a perceived weakness to a strength.
  21. Seems like a camp body/future PS kind of signing. Appears completely washed up, but if he could get back into shape, could be a nice reserve lineman given his flexibility at the OG/OT positions.
  22. I think this is going to end up somewhere between an "A" grade and Ditka trading an entire draft for Ricky Williams, Minnesota trading an entire draft for Herschel Walker, and the Browns trading away all of their draft capital for Deshaun Watson.
  23. Diggs was amazing in 2020 and 2021. But he's 30 years old and his play has shown signs of dropping off, especially in the second half of each of the last two seasons. Add in all of the personality issues, however legitimate they may be, and I believe this was the right time to move on.
  24. Fudge. There goes my $5k. Hide me from the wife.
  25. Yep. Good hands, great feet, great size. It's a long road, but he'd be an interesting PS guy for sure.
