  1. I honestly think he's just burned out from constantly coming up short against the Chiefs in the playoffs, and failing to bring the fan base a championship. I think his talk in the off-season about having no expectations is his way of trying to manage that disappointment and stress. Part of me also wonders if he hasn't been hurt and had his bell wrong more than we realize as fans. Regardless, and I hate to say it, but I'm getting the feeling that we may have seen the best of Josh already.
  2. It lowers testosterone by 30%, but usually not until the baby arrives.
  3. It's approaching the 2011 Stevie Johnson, Donald Jones, David Nelson, Naaman Roosevelt, Brad Smith, Ruvell Martin level.
  4. I agree and was just pointing out the flipside of highlight videos. I'm actually looking forward to Gabe's return at this point and want to see him taking Keon's reps. Gabe, Shakir and a healthy Palmer might be a serviceable enough WR corps to get the passing game moving again.
  5. Wow. That's an exciting video. Now somebody post a video of all of Josh's arm punts that were intended for Gabe.
  6. Couple things: the backend of that KC defense was in shambles (Dan Sorensen was especially toast) and we had a real NFL receiving room (prime Diggs, Beasley, Sanders and Davis).
  7. 4.54 vs 4.61. Also, Gabe is a stronger dude than Keon.
  8. I'm feeling pretty down on the Bills at the moment. I don't like our O and Mahomes will find a way to slice up the D with short little zone hits and dump offs. I think it will look a bit like the Falcons game.
  9. Have there been any updates on Gabe's health? He should be recovered from a meniscus tear at this point (11 months). Would be nice to at least have him as an option.
  10. To be honest, I got that vibe while watching Hard Knocks. It just seemed like the Bills were so relaxed, as if the philosophy was that they didn't want or need to be super sharp, focused and aggressive right from the get go. That they would ramp up as the season wore on or something. You kind of saw that in the Bears preseason blowout (I know it was our second string vs their starters).
  11. That's where I'm at. We mostly just shot ourselves in the foot during the Pats game. Josh didn't play great, but he didn't look like a chicken with its head cut off. The Falcons definitely screwed him up though. He looked great on that first drive, but the Falcons blitzes/pressure got to him and you could clearly see that he was mentally defeated by the third quarter. That carried over into yesterday's first half, but Cook was able to bail us out. Josh seems to be hearing footsteps or seeing ghosts or whatever you want to call it at this point. He needs to find his comfort level again and quick.
  12. It was genetic. He knew about it since 2006. Just terrible news. RIP.
  13. Given what we know now, that chart makes me want to puke. 🤮
  14. There is no chance in hell the Dolphins deal Waddle to the Bills. He's only 26 and under a reasonable contract. No chance. If a team is willing to overpay on a trade for him, it won't be the Bills. It will be a team outside the division like NYG or Pittsburgh.
  15. Agree 100%. This season is turning out to be what we thought last year was going to be - a step-back/mini-rebuild where we aren't true Super Bowl contenders. Play Poyer alongside Bishop to hopefully impart on him how a functional safety tandem should communicate. Once healthy, play the young secondary guys as much as possible. Let them play through mistakes. On offense, even though he's been underwhelming, keep giving Keon a bunch of run to either develop him or confirm that he's not a real piece of the puzzle moving forward. I'd like to see more touches for Davis on early downs and more throws to and usage of Cook on 3rd down. It's infuriating that we consistently remove our best playmaker on the money down.
  16. I see a lot of guys making errors out there. Are they all just "washed?" It seems that almost every guy on the defense has been trending down as Babich gets further into his tenure as coordinator.
  17. I expect a close game. Their defense has some teeth to it. We can not afford to get behind the sticks with undisciplined (or phantom) penalties or it will be another long day like Atlanta. And Dalton is a veteran QB who can take advantage of the soft spots of our zone defense.
  18. The whole team sucked for large parts of each of the last two games - Josh included. The problem is that the D plays good for one half and the O might play good for a half, but not at the same time. We need to play disciplined, consistent and nasty from the opening kickoff. That isn't happening right now. Hopefully, they can get refocused during the bye.
  19. I've injured my neck and shoulder (multiple times) showering in the morning before a tee time. Age is undefeated.
  20. Was Diggs ever released? He wears out his welcome over time, but he's a professional that at least puts in the work and plays nice (until he doesn't).
  21. Correct. We aren't terrible on the lines, we have a great QB and a great running back. If we somehow hit on a couple of draft picks that turned out to be elite pass rushers and pass catchers in the next couple of years, all of a sudden we could be a juggernaut. You just have to strike gold once in awhile (off the top of my head: Chris Jones - 2nd rounder; JJ Watt - 30th pick; Puka Nacua - 5th round, etc.) Things change so quickly in the NFL.
  22. How often do these true malcontents ever reemerge as contributors? I'm not talking about guys with off-the-field legal stuff, but the types who are such poisonous personalities that teams just cut bait. I guess Antonio Brown with the Bucs, but we all saw how that ended.
  23. There's really no good options. I thought of Cooks for a second, but the guy hasn't been an impact receiver in almost a half-decade now. Shaheed is probably the best obtainable option, but is he really any better production wise than guys like Palmer or Samuel were before we signed them? I suppose his speed could possibly open the field a bit, but we need an impact guy, not another #3 or low end #2. I think we just suffer through it and find a way to get Kincaid, Shakir and Cook the ball as much as possible. Never thought I'd say this, but we actually miss Mack Hollins as a receiver. That's how bad the receiver room is currently.
