  1. Very odd story. I'm guessing this was a fentanyl OD or something and the homeowner didn't know what to do and/or was in denial about it. Or he actually killed them. THREE grown men don't just go out into their friend's yard and freeze to death.
  2. I win the PowerBall, grow 5 inches, get 20 years younger and my mansion has an endless supply of supermodels. Oh, we are talking about the Bills...
  3. It is my rose colored glasses take for sure. But we've seen other second year players (not named Elam) make big leaps in year two under McDermott. Fingers crossed.
  4. Bernard couldn't sniff the field as a rookie either and the staff has turned him into a potential cornerstone MLB. I like Williams' raw skills and intensity. He just needs to continue to learn, mature and become more disciplined. If his mindset is right, then I think he has a bright future.
  5. Nobody is forcing you to do anything. Some think it's a nice way of showing support for one of our players who is getting completely outrageous and uncalled for abuse. Listen, I'm as pissed and disappointed as anyone that Bass missed that kick. It's okay to vent some frustration on this message board, but for these @ssholes physically threatening Bass through his social media, I'd love to hold them accountable face-to-face.
  6. I don't think it was impatience. He had a shot and he took it. It just didn't work out. And on the subsequent 3rd down, Josh should have actually been less patient/safe and looked to run to get us into better field goal range.
  7. The defense has let him down and it isn't just bad luck. Bad luck is what happened to Marty Schottenheimer over the years with Ernest Byner and Marlon McCree fumbling away victories. What we witnessed over the last four playoff losses isn't bad luck. They have been complete failures in defensive game planning and/or execution.
  8. Correct. This loss lies almost entirely at the hands of Sean's defense. Yes, injuries are tough to overcome, but that was a historically bad performance we witnessed from our defense last night. If we hadn't played nearly perfect ball control offense for the majority of the night, there's no doubt that KC would have racked up 500 yards and 40+ points.
  9. The defense was giving up 9.6 yards per play up until the middle of the 4th quarter (I know because I was following that stat in the box throughout the game). The Chiefs had 16 total yards over 10 plays in their final two possessions (including the kneel downs), which drove the average down to a still putrid 7.7 yards per play by game's end. I know they had a ton of injuries, but they were just god awful last night and the primary reason we lost the game. We also gave up a horrific 7.6 yards per play in the 13 seconds game. Sean's defenses have been wretched in the last four playoff losses. There is no getting around this.
  10. Nope. Our offense has been Super Bowl-worthy going on four years now. The thing that has held us back in the playoffs is our defense. Our defense has been absolutely pathetic in every single game we've been eliminated in over the past four years. Yes, Mahomes and Burrow are two of the game's best, but we provided almost zero resistance against them in those games. At one point in the 4th quarter last night, we were giving up 9.6 yards per play (think this was right before the fumble through the endzone). We were essentially giving up a 1st down on every single snap. So long as McDermott is at the helm of the defense against teams like the Chiefs and Bengals in the playoffs, I have very little hope of ever making a Super Bowl outside of a GOAT type of performance from Josh Allen (which we basically got back in the 13 seconds game).
  11. The same way we found Shakir is my guess.
  12. That's not luck. That's execution. More than anytime I can remember, luck was on our side last night. All the fumbles went our way. The Chiefs made more plays than us, as they have in all of our playoff losses.
  13. I liked our chances until the most recent spate of injuries. I thought we had a puncher's chance if we could sneak by the Chiefs and get guys healthy before the Ravens.
  14. Yep. Said to my Dad, "we need one more first down here, even if it takes us going for a fourth and short." What we saw was the downside of being down only 3 points and being in reasonable field goal range. And, of course, we ended up with the worst possible outcome in that situation (other than a turnover).
  15. Milano is great, but I think we win last night with a healthy Douglas, Bernard and Benford.
  16. Yep. I think people are underselling how much the short week hurt us.
  17. Allen was really good last night. I think the thing that actually hurt us the most on that final drive was being down 3 points instead of say 28-24. Given that we could tie the game with a field goal, Josh almost had to be slightly more careful with the ball than he otherwise would have, and we also lost a down by having the option to kick the FG. There is little doubt in my mind that Allen drives us in for a TD with about 15-45 seconds to play if the FG option was off the table.
  18. Yes. This is what the psychological and emotional response looks and feels (or "doesn't" feel) like after demoralization is complete.
  19. I feel you man. I've been ride or die since birth basically. The previous two years l broke me as far as my emotional investment goes. Of course, i'll be back for more punishment next year. I'm a Bills fan. There's no getting around it.
  20. Agree 100%. There is zero chance we hold them there. Couldn't even stop them from running down our throat after the missed kick. We need 2 new receivers and a new kicker in the draft.
