  1. And I used to be able to dunk a basketball, but now I can't jump over the phonebook. No offense or blame to Von or Beane or whatever, but Father Time remains undefeated.
  2. A couple of early season blowout losses and a three game stretch with Mitch Trubisky will do that to you. They are +37 over the past three weeks.
  3. FinHeaven seems like a wonderful, very evolved space, with plenty of nuanced takes like this one from their postgame thread:
  4. Don't get me wrong, I agree to a point. I'm not scared of Rudolph, but I think you're understating his accomplishments over the past three weeks. He threw for 290 (124 rating) and 274 (112.2 rating) in consecutive weeks against the Bengals and Seahawks - two teams who were playing for their playoff lives. Then, in a must win game on the road in terrible weather against the Ravens' backups, he delivered a 90% completion, 115 rating game to push the Steelers into the playoffs. He hasn't thrown a pick this year, so I don't think you can count on him giving the game to us. The guy is more than capable of doing what Mac Jones did to us earlier in the season if we are not 100% locked in on Sunday.
  5. Agree, Logic. And Rudolph has been one of the best QBs in the league over the past three weeks. We have to protect the ball and get the running game going or this could easily turn into an ugly Sunday.
  6. Shakir has arrived. More Khalil, less Gabe.
  7. I punt it or go for the first down. I don't like the Bass option here. He's lost my confidence.
  8. If you can't trust your franchise QB there to make the smart play, then you are in big trouble.
  9. No. I fully expect the Steelers and Jags to win against teams with zero to play for. We are going to need to beat Miami tomorrow, and trust me, they are going to be hungry for the division title and the chance to knock us out of the postseason. Hold onto your hats, boys. It's gonna be a wild one.
  10. Correct. What gives Rufo power is that he is 100% transparent about his goals and tactics, and he just gives his political enemies rope by which they hang themselves.
  11. I have very little confidence in this team winning a playoff game, let alone 3, but far crazier playoff runs happen.
  12. I'm sure we will represent well, but we haven't played particularly well in these mixed crowd away games (LA and London).
  13. Here's what you do then: First play of the game, run a bootleg, but have one of our TEs or o-lineman (or multiple blockers) peel off and tackle the first defender and pin him to the ground. Then, Josh can casually hurdle them without fear of injury. We take the 10 yard penalty but guarantee the win.
  14. I like Shakir's game a lot. Shifty, strong and a real threat as a YAC guy. But, as others have said, he has some physical limitations that keep him from being a true #2 (or #1). I see him as our long-term starting slot, assuming we can somehow land a big speedy outside threat to take over for Gabe. Edit: One thing I don't understand is people calling Shakir slow. He ran a 4.43 40, roughly the same speed as guys like James Cook and Jahan Dotson. He's not slow at all. His biggest issue is his short arms/catch radius.
  15. It's weird how many of our own fanbase have seemingly turned on Hamlin, a guy who literally died for the sake of our entertainment.
  16. Anderson is a versatile interior lineman who can play center (yes, I know Bates is the backup) and is 5 years younger than Ifedi. He showed a lot of promise in camp this year. I doubt we'd cut him.
  17. Should have played for the touchdown. We are going to lose on a 60 yard field goal
  18. Every kicker seems ridiculous against the Bills. Unbelievable really.
  19. FFS. We don't deserve the playoffs. Let's be real.
  20. Feels exactly like the Jax game. The dreaded "home" road game.
  21. I almost never order Buffalo wings in a bar unless I'm in Buffalo visiting family. I prefer to just make them at home. I buy the industrial sized bag from Costco Business, air fry them, and then liberally toss them in Franks and butter, maybe squeeze a little lime on them and some garlic salt if I want to get wild.
  22. Just makes it all the more special when you see him break out in a genuine smile like he did on Sunday. It warmed my heart, man.
