  1. Jesus. Guy needs to retire already. This makes me sick
  2. I don't think it's any of those things. Diggs is/was still a stud, imo, but the offense did improve when Brady took over and we began spreading the ball around to more targets and running the ball more. There's no question we would be a better team if you swapped out Curtis Samuel with Stefon Diggs.
  3. I rewatched the week 18 game from 2023 earlier today on NFL Network. Our defense was terribly depleted and we still held them to 14 points (yeah, I know Waddle and Mostert were out). I'm not really scared of us getting boat-raced. The one thing I noticed from that game was how good Diggs still was last year, even if he didn't always show up. I know we've all rationalized here and tried to create a new narrative of the WR room getting better, but I suspect that we will all eventually miss Diggs, maybe sooner rather than later.
  4. Holy cow...Trump just lost himself the election over the past 5-10 minutes. He sounds deranged. I'm no Harris fan and I'll probably just abstain from voting for President, but no way in hell would I ever vote for Trump.
  5. Your post knocks it out of the park. It takes a special kind of person to be a good/great cop. Unfortunately, there's just not enough of those personalities to go around, so we have to settle with a bunch of relatively decent folks who are not fit for the high stakes of policing in the long run. What you often end up with is highly anxious armed dudes (essentially with PTSD) that are tasked with interacting with and protecting the public. I always try to keep that in mind when stopped by or interacting with police in any situation. Just comply and do everything you can not to escalate a routine stop. (Not going to get into the small amount of truly crooked or power tripping fascists that end up in the police force. I acknowledge they exist and most of us or our loved ones have had run ins with these types at some point in our lives.)
  6. Looks like we addressed the backup QB spot, but who is this "Name" fella? I assume he can't be worse than Mitch.
  7. Well, you're wrong, bro. Handcuffs do not equal arrested. It's not about rationalizing. It's the just the facts. Edit: this is from personal experience on the receiving end of cuffs.
  8. To be fair, Harvard has churned out a ton of irreverent, funny dudes (See Conan O'Brien)
  9. You have to love Fitz. Has never taken himself too seriously and always seems to be living his best life.
  10. Bingo. I like and respect GunnerBill and appreciate all of the time he puts into sharing his typically quality takes with the board, but the bolded is direct evidence that he isn't viewing things relating to Von's performance objectively. As for the larger picture, Bill could be right and it's entirely possible that Sunday is the best we ever see from Von this season and he goes back to being invisible, but he played a solid game on Sunday and definitely created and deserved that 4th quarter sack.
  11. It was a good first game for a rookie receiver. He doesn't look like a game breaker type, but he's smooth, big and seems to have sure hands. Looks like he has the ability to develop into a really nice complementary piece/#2 type of guy.
  12. I'm not too concerned, because this is a game I have us losing to a divisional opponent; even in scenarios where we make the playoffs/win division. I expect a barn burner.
  13. Their guy has 58 career total yards and ours hasn't played a snap. Pretty clear that we lost that trade. 🙄
  14. Look at it this way...it's the difference between a dropped "interception" versus an actual interception. We are talking about turnovers, not potential turnovers.
  15. I don't really care about the MVP thing, but this is what really frustrates me about the criticism of Josh. Outside of the opener against the Jets last year (where Josh really was putrid), how many games has Allen lost for us in the clutch over the past three years? Have there been any outside of that game? Yet I frequently hear the morons on sports radio or ESPN reference Allen's turnovers giving away important games or that he fails to come through in the clutch and postseason. It's clear that they are just riding along on some prepackaged narrative about Allen and don't ever bother to watch him. Two weeks ago I heard a national radio guy say that Jared Goff was better than Allen, and that he prefers him to Josh, because Goff doesn't make the backbreaking turnover that costs his team big games. 🤡
  16. Brandt picking Josh for MVP??? What's next??? Wait wait don't tell me....Chris Berman picking the Bills and 49ers for the Super Bowl.
  17. Good stuff. Dorsey was a disaster. Who knows how much he's to blame for the pathetic showing on offense against the Bengals in 2022.
  18. Yikes. Here's to a speedy recovery for Pearsall. What a terrible thing to have happen to the young man. And now I'm sweating, since I'll be taking my wife and kids up there on Friday to see the symphony and sightsee. Kids have never been and I haven't seen the city since 2016. Of course, were staying in Union Square.
  19. It was (cheesy and saccharine), but I liked that Joe didn't take the bait. Can sense the kid knows he didn't really accomplish anything yet, and that he's more just focused and eager to get back to work. Lunch pail kinda dude. Yeah, he's from Lancaster and a longshot type, but let's not forget that all of these guys have busted their asses and are working to achieve their dreams.
  20. I think we drop off this year, especially given the schedule. I see 8-10 wins and no playoffs. 🙁
  21. I think this is at least half the story - certainly since 2021.
  22. Agreed. As soon as I saw the tape I absolutely hated the pick. The guy was clearly a stiff. I have no clue what Beane was thinking with that selection. One of the worst of his tenure.
  23. My old stomping grounds!
  24. Hmmnnn. Sounds like a bunch of butthurt dudes who are tired of getting hurdled and trucked by Josh. And I wonder how random the sample of 103 players is.
