Message from McDermott to team: “Play Fearless”
eball replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It would be interesting to know what, if anything, McD could say to appease you. -
I'm just amazed that anyone follows Jerry Sullivan on Twitter.

Week 11: Bills at Dolphins - Spread: Bills -6.5
eball replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So if the Bills put up 30+ points on Sunday and win by double digits will all of the gloom and doom around here cease? Or am I going to have to avoid this site like the plague for the remaining 7 weeks of the season? It's pretty amazing to me how many fans are incapable of seeing a work-in-progress Bills squad that is likely to win 10 games and earn a playoff spot this season but WAS NEVER EXPECTED TO BE PERFECT this season. There are unmistakable holes and they are far from a finished product. My biggest concern, actually, is the bad game by Josh on Sunday, but if he bounces back I'll be satisfied. -
A Few Thoughts about the Browns Game, In no particular order

Yeah, I can understand seeing it this way. I just choose to believe that Daboll and McD are not complete idiots, and they are seeing something during the week we are not. I could be wrong. -
It Will All Come Down to Week 17 vs the Jets
eball replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the Bills only beat Miami, Denver, and the Jets their odds of making the playoffs are still >90%. Throw in a win at Dallas, Pittsburgh, or home against Baltimore and it's a virtual lock. They simply have to win these next two. -
A Few Thoughts about the Browns Game, In no particular order
eball replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't see why anyone would presume that. The offense is still growing and there's still a relatively green QB behind center. You may think you know all there is to know after 10 games but I don't. -
A Few Thoughts about the Browns Game, In no particular order

Let's face it, guys...as much as we want to complain about play calling and not getting the ball to Singletary and not hitting deep throws and yada-yada-yada the bottom line is that if our FG kicker hits those kicks we're enjoying a W and moving on to Miami. This is the NFL and close games are what you get unless you've got a dynamic offense. The Bills don't have a dynamic offense and we all knew that; it's not going to change this season. There is still a very reachable path to 10-11 wins and a playoff berth and I'll be very satisfied with that. I'm looking to the offseason and acquiring some more players who can make a difference on offense. Josh Allen has progressed this season -- it is undeniable. There is still a ways to go but the guy is learning to protect the football (mostly) and should only continue to improve. No chicken little here -- it's very likely we're at 8-3 headed to Dallas in a couple of weeks. -
One important question I have on the last drive
eball replied to Thunderstruck's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Josh answered this question, I believe...said Brown was his #1 read and if you look at how quickly the play developed he really had no time to see Beasley if he was looking at Brown first because he was about to get crushed. -
What? Of course they need to go undefeated. My point is that this should be enough to get them in the picture, which makes them an interesting team to watch.

Complete carnage yesterday! The top two picks nationally (NO and IND) both lost at home to (previously) one-win teams. Anybody still alive? I've got SF as my remaining entry in two pools tonight and I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

They can't even win the SEC and they don't have a strong schedule (SEC overall is having a down year). I think it's unlikely, but nothing's impossible. The team that's interesting is Minnesota (in my opinion). They're way down in the rankings (17 last week) but just beat #4 and they face ranked opponents (Iowa, Wisky) in two of their last three (before a B10 championship matchup). They'll probably move up to #10 or so this week, but over the next three weeks could put themselves in the playoff picture.

Predict the 4 teams in the playoff for college 2019-2020

My prediction: Not Alabama, not Alabama, not Alabama, and not Alabama -
Ding, d-o-n-g, the witch is dead!

I realized this morning that I'm now getting to the point where I expect Josh Allen to play well, rather than hoping he does. When you look at his stats over the last five weeks (four games) you see that he is becoming a legit NFL starting QB.

The Jets in W1 were a team with decent players...just ask ScottLaw.

Who is the healthy scratch for Sunday?
eball replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’d pile on here but that seems excessive. I’ll just say “umm, no.” -
“Everyone” means different things to different people. Just look at the current resident of the WH.

Dude, find me an NFL coach who thinks playing Buffalo is a “week off.” I’ll wait. Just a moronic post. Sorry, but I call it like I see it.

The whole "desperate team" thing bit me in the a$$ a couple of weeks ago when I underestimated the Eagles, but the Browns are not the Eagles. The Eagles have a recent winning tradition and a SB-winning head coach. The Browns have a bunch of "talented" guys who haven't won anything and an aww-shucks head coach who is in over his head. If Buffalo plays a solid road game (no turnovers, limit penalties) they should be in good shape.
