  1. Not the point. What I’m addressing is the notion that Burrow is as talented as Josh, not whether the Bills’ defense let them down.
  2. To your point…put Burrow on the Bills the past five seasons and what do you think you have? I think we all know the answer.
  3. This is definitely the “silver lining” or “glass half full” perspective, and I think the coaches would generally agree that getting younger, more inexperienced players a chance to have more reps against the 1s is helpful for their development and to see where they stand. Of course, the “glass half empty” perspective is that you want your starters ready by week one and they need the reps to get into “football shape.” The reality is obviously a balance of the two, but to this point nothing about the type of injuries the Bills are dealing with is overly concerning to me.
  4. I’ve been perusing various articles as TC has gotten started, and one of the things that sticks out is media coverage of how many picks a QB has thrown in practice. I remember Mahomes’ first “real” season as the starter when it was reported that he threw 5 picks in one practice (or something like that), and we all know what happened next. Well, I just read that Drake Maye hasn’t thrown a pick in 7 practices. Saw the same for some other QB (might have been Mahomes -- edit: it was Tua). How much stock do you put into that? My feeling has always been that practice is the time to try everything and force throws you wouldn’t necessarily make during the season. Josh has thrown a number of picks this camp, but it doesn’t worry me at all. It strikes me as being similar to the way media reports completion percentages in camp…i.e., not worth much of anything. Agree? Disagree?
  5. I posted this in the other thread that talked about their appearance, but the difference (to me) this year is that the Bills are now absolutely spoken of as one of the “cream of the crop” teams in the NFL, and both Miller and Kirwan staunchly defended the selection of Josh as MVP. Remember, last year nearly every pundit predicted a “step back” for Buffalo and the rise of the Jets and Fish. Now, it’s all about “who’s playing for 2nd place” in the division. It’s a very satisfying listen (despite Miller’s mushmouth), and the interviews are excellent.
  6. I find I spend most of my time trying not to hate other Bills fans! 😉 I’m now lucky enough to be semi-retired and my wife and I love to travel. Just this year alone we’ve been to Vietnam, Cambodia, and southern France (Provence), and in October we’re going to Malaga (Spain) to visit friends who left the US permanently and moved there in March. I’m a golf junkie…play a couple of times a week and plan to start devoting some real time to practice with the goal of getting my handicap into single digits. Oh, and according to Badol on this site I’m a drunk! Cheers and Go Bills! 🍻
  7. When Jim Ritcher played offensive linemen were <300 lbs… 😂
  8. Trey Lance looked pretty good against Harris Teeter’s finest…
  9. Depressed? I’m freaking out!!!
  10. Yeah, Ethan "it's only a message board, calm down" in Cleveland needs to follow his own advice!
  11. Great stuff from Beaner as always, and Catalano does a nice job. If you haven't listened to this you should!
  12. This thread aged well. Nearly one hour!
  13. So fortunate to have Benford. Appears Gilmore still has something left in the tank as well…wonder where he’ll end up.
  14. Not really. Ramsey is a stud, and Kohou & Holland are very good players. Their defense was actually a relative strength last year.
  15. Somebody needs to talk to this Air guy and tell him it's a non-contact practice...
  16. It’s called sarcasm.
  17. Dude — here’s a life tip, free of charge: when you show your a$$ and get called out for it, the appropriate thing to do is NOT to double-down on your erroneous take. There’s a really easy way to handle this that doesn’t make you look like a prick.
  18. I’m excited to watch the future grocery baggers vs. the future valet parking attendants!
  19. We do eventually get the accurate information here, but you have to sort through a dozen or so “gloom and doom” posts first! 🤣
  20. Right? smh…
  21. If there’s one thing I’m pretty sure of, it’s that McD’s staff doesn’t do much of anything without a reason.
  22. I listened to a lot of it yesterday. Not a whole bunch of news for those of us who follow the Bills closely, but it’s very nice to hear two national guys heap effusive praise on our team and organization. Kirwan also lit into those criticizing Allen winning the MVP last season. They called Allen “Josh 2.0” and acknowledged his jump into now being one of the more cerebral QBs out there in addition to one of the most physically gifted. The interviews were good — Ed Oliver is very engaging, Keon is a trip, and Josh is Josh. Worth a listen if you have a couple of hours to kill…I think they keep the episodes on the Sirius app.
  23. Rest of NFL Steelers miss playoffs and finish under .500 Lions do NOT win the NFC North Raiders have a winning record Miami finishes 4th in AFC East Bills Jimbo Cook has 2000 all-purpose yards Joey Bosa has 10+ sacks Bills finish with best regular season record in team history Tre White gets Pro Bowl invite
  24. I can’t imagine a guy would write “beyond blessed; thank you god” if he had a season ending injury. But that’s just me. Expecting to hear some good news from McD this morning before practice.
