Robert Kraft to sell a minority stake of the Patriots
eball replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
I believe the new minority owner is a chain of small massage parlors in Florida. There’s no report on the terms of payment or if there are any return concessions. -
So, obviously not the start many envisioned for the UNC/Belichick experiment, but not completely unexpected either with a 70-player turnaround. I think they'll give him at least 3 years (if he wants to stay that long) so turn things around.

I’ll read the article also, but this is encouraging and goes along with what many of us have said — this is a young defense with injuries/suspensions that is not even close to what it will be later in the season. It’s a blessing that our offense is so damn good we can withstand the growing pains and have a very manageable schedule over the next month.

But do you have the data on the Bills rushing offense by the letters?

NFL Week 4 Announcers 2025 UPDATED WITH LOCAL BROADCASTS 9.24
eball replied to ryguy101's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m suppose there’s some unconscious misogyny slipping in here, but her voice is terribly nasal and irritating to me. Paired with Ross Tucker, who sounds like a moron (although I know he isn’t), this is by far the worst announcer pairing out there. Interesting that a FOX crew is announcing the international game…I guess that’s fallout from Eisen’s move to ESPN because typically those games get he and Warner. -
Still one of the most improbable upsets in recent memory, but Minnesota then was nothing like Buffalo now.
-
How often do you play survivor pools, and how many people are in your pool? If you want to actually win the pool, the correct strategy is to stay away from the “most popular” picks each week and hope that by the time all of the upsets have knocked most entries out, you still have strong selections available. But there are certainly lots of players just picking the biggest spreads each week and “trying to stay alive” — and I hope they are in the pool I’m in! 😉
-
Houston and Denver. Chargers would be a good pick but they have more future value so worth saving. The problem with your strategy is that you've already burned two of the top four teams in the first four weeks. You're alive, but down the road you'll have a struggle.
-
Yeah, we'll just have to agree to disagree there. Every once in a while there's a game that really is as much of a mismatch as it appears. I mean...Spencer Rattler. Let that sink in.

Shoulda, coulda, woulda...the data says the Bills are a monumental favorite this week and nothing suggests they are taking any teams lightly. If anything, the Saints performance last week showed that they are already looking for the exit.

I think it's extremely premature to comment on Benford's play this year as "not as good" and as others have noted, the stats actually say he's pretty damn good in man coverage anyway. The Bills have a very disjointed secondary right now that should only improve as they play together and Hairston starts to get reps.

Ok, you’re thinking outside the box, which is good, but I don’t understand the benefit to the NFL of this premise at all. The NFL is already more popular than the CFL in Canada. It is absolutely no threat to the NFL; further, a merger doesn’t help the NFL. The player pool is too diluted. Perhaps the CFL is making these changes simply for the benefit of players and coaches, so they are playing the same brand of football should they have an opportunity to try out for or be hired by an NFL team. Perhaps they also see that their goofy football hasn’t caught on elsewhere. The only way I see any sort of “merger” between these leagues is if the CFL disbanded and one or two of their teams were incorporated into the NFL (Toronto, Montreal).

I think Cinci likes Browning. He had a bit of a rough go of it last week but Wilson isn’t better.

So 0 tech plays over the C, 1 tech between C and G, 2 tech over the G, and 3 tech between G and T?

Oh, a Sabres fan. Good one, dude. I’d say most of Pegula’s “projects” have fared quite well…

There has been no proof presented in any form that suggests that is not the case...just a bunch of whining about stairs on a rendering.

Ravens at Chiefs - who do you want to have their third loss?

Well, they could both be 1-2-1…just sayin. What a time to be alive… -
MNF Week 3 2025: Detroit at Baltimore (no Bills discussion, please)
eball replied to chongli's topic in The Stadium Wall
And everyone said the Lions were dead after W1… ”No Ben Johnson! No Aaron Glenn!” Meanwhile, our old buddy Kelvin Sheppard looking pretty comfortable in the DC role… Fun team. Would like to see them vs. the Bills in February. -
Start of the season really could not have gone better for the Bills…

2-game lead over KC and 2.5-game lead over BAL after three weeks? Pinch me. -

Start of the season really could not have gone better for the Bills…
eball replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
For the people who still just don't get the gist of this thread...I'm not suggesting that everything has gone perfectly. That's unrealistic and ridiculous. When looking at the big picture of where we sit after week 3, however, it is difficult to imagine much more going right for this team. I'm actually glad there are a number of things to work on and improve upon -- 3rd down defense, pass rush, CB2, safety play, downfield passing -- because who wants to peak with more than three months remaining in the regular season? It's almost scary to think what this team could be by January. -

Take off the tinfoil hat. -
Signature win against top contender Two division wins KC slow start AFC East looking like a runaway again Allen playing at other-worldly level Cook making new contract look like an underpay Kincaid healthy and making plays Defense “surviving” despite key injuries/suspensions and getting young guys valuable reps I mean, sure, folks are always going to complain about something (see: first page of this forum), but realistically it’s hard to find fault with how things are playing out to date, with a very manageable schedule leading into the KC game. Go Bills!
