  1. In the big pool (900 entries) I’m in it’s down to 99. I’ve used most good teams and this week is tough, but there are a few options: Bears over Giants (that’s who I’m probably going with) Panthers over Saints Bucs over Pats*** A really outside the box pick would be Cleveland over the Jets…risky as hell but I think the Browns’ defense will completely shut them down.
  2. This is such a b.s. narrative, that “stretching the field” is what the Bills need and lack. No defense plays the Bills in such a way that receivers are going to get free deep. The Bills must beat teams in the short and intermediate passing game, and they have more than enough competent players to get that done. This 3-headed TE monster is a nightmare matchup for most defenses, who also have to account for Cook and the running game. Shakir is a YAC beast. With Palmer coming back and Josh gaining more trust in Moore, I don’t see the need for hand-wringing over the offense.
  3. He didn’t keep it up against a very mediocre defense last week.
  4. I’m sure he was on the phone, but I respect Beane not making a crazy offer for somebody when you’ve got a team as closely knit as the Bills. What I’ve seen for the past two weeks is a team learning who they are and looking pretty damn good. This 3-headed TE monster they have built is legit, and with Palmer coming back I’m pretty content with Palmer/Shakir/Moore/Coleman. The Bills are still one of about five teams I think are true SB contenders, even without making a move. We now need some luck (injuries) going forward.
  5. The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem. Good on you.
  6. Do the Colts still have Daniel Jones? [checks roster] Nothing to see here...
  7. So glad the Bills didn't make a deal for Meyers...doesn't move the needle for me at all. The Bills showed on Sunday night that they can feature their TEs in the passing offense with some occasional WR involvement. If Palmer comes back shortly I think we are ok for this season. Would much rather have them look at DT help.
  8. Agree completely. Best option is to take an Uber to one of the two lots where there is a free shuttle to and from the stadium. Google "Geico HRS Express" for info.
  9. Dewayne Carter? I think not. I realize he's had injury issues but nothing about his play suggests he is a long-term fixture for the Bills.
  10. Well, the good news is that the crowd should be at least 50-50, and perhaps even more so, given the crappy Fish and the Bills huge win. Miami fans have already given up. It will feel like another home-away-from-home game for the Bills.
  11. This game has more significance than many realize…with a win the Bills will finally even their all-time W/L record vs. the Fish (regular season and playoffs) — that’s saying something given our 0-20 stint in the 70s.
  12. This is just my uneducated opinion, but I bet Benford’s perceived “drop off” has more to do with who has been around him than his own play. I think a lot of fans watch football and don’t understand much of what they are seeing; they simply “blame” a player who is close to the play when it’s over and assume that player made a mistake.
  13. This game was an eye-opener. It was Cole Bishop’s coming out party and also showed what a boost Mad Max can bring. Bishop had 4 huge PBUs and was always in the right place. Max had the speed to stick with Worthy on an early deep ball, and obviously had a great pick. I realize there were a few “busted” coverages but as @Simon noted they are still trying to piece things together and it was obvious the communication was lacking at times. I believe the ideal “starting five” moving forward is clearly Benford/Hairston/Taron/Bishop/Hancock, with Poyer repping in occasionally. Those guys need to play together continuously and get that communication level where it needs to be, and it could turn what has been a horrible weakness since last year into a sudden strength. On to Miami!
  14. @Simon, we had some people over to watch the game and I kid you not, a play before this happened a friend of mine said he was tired of QBs in general using the sideline to bait defenders into penalties and was posturing for a rule that said if any part of the QB is inbounds he is fair game. Then we all watched Epenesa crush Mahomes and waited for the flag that never came…it was awesome.
  15. The record this year is irrelevant. He has shown the team is improving and the defense embarrassed Syracuse and their freshman QB last night. In two years this could get interesting.
  16. Addition by subtraction. He was a liability this year.
  17. The link to the photos is in my post. It's a pain to post five photos at one time. Sorry 🤷🏻‍♂️
  18. Just posted some pics from @Chicharito in the PSL discussion thread. Link
  19. I just did it for him...
  20. Fergie was my guy growing up…will always love that guy and he could spin it. Another of the “almost” teams were the ‘80 Bills…if Fergie’s ankle isn’t gimpy we had a great shot to get to the Super Bowl.
  21. As someone mentioned upthread this is a Milano/Bernard game. They are “designed” to match up with KC. Good to see them designated “full” for two days in a row. I have a good feeling about how this defense is going to play on Sunday. It pains me to say it, but my worry is…JA17…he needs to revert to 2024 Josh in a hurry.
  22. You can use a photo editor and reduce the size of the image...it would be cool to see some shots. Thx. I actually prefer shade...no sun in your eyes and you can see everything. But to each his own.
