Umm, sure you do. It’s a reflection of the support provided to Hurts and Allen against KC in the playoffs. It’s also further evidence that the Bills rightfully focused on defense in this year’s draft.

Who is our worst match up in the AFC as of now?
eball replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think there is a tendency to “fear” the Ravens more because of how they’ve destroyed us a couple of times in the regular season, and their running game is one to be respected, but in general these threads are amusing to me because for each of these other teams the prospect of facing the Bills is a daunting challenge. Cincinnati beat us in our building two and a half years ago in a game that wasn’t “normal” and folks can’t get over that even though they didn’t even make the freaking playoffs. KC keeps squeaking by us in January even though we’re every bit the team they are. Houston is a paper tiger and I’m looking forward to the Bills exacting some payback this season. The bottom line is that while Bills fans obsess over matchups, nobody wants to play the Bills. Not even the Chiefs. -
The only reason I don't want that to happen is because of my Miami hookup!

Elijah Moore Visiting the Bills today (Update: Signed!)

It's 10-3, brother...but if everyone agreed with everything around here it'd be a pretty boring place. Cheers. -
Unused extra tissue I hope?

Meh. We can agree to disagree. -

I don’t think there is agreement on that at all. Beane has been pretty widely praised for taking WGR to task, and it was refreshing to hear it because those WGR guys are blowhards. They think they have a bully pulpit and nobody will ever call them on it. Beane has never said he didn’t want a speed WR; he just has to build an entire football team and has done a damn good job of it. How many entire rosters in this league do you want to trade the Bills’ for? It’s exhausting. Some people want to continue to talk about the “WR room” and compare it to the rest of the league. Well, what about every other position group on offense? QB — top 1-2 OL — top 5 RB — top 10 (maybe higher) TE — top half That’s a lot of really good stuff, and YOU CAN’T HAVE EVERYTHING in the salary cap era. This team scored nearly 30 points per game and put up 29 in the playoffs against the Chiefs. Don’t tell me “the offense had the ball and didn’t get it done” because while technically true, that’s not why Buffalo lost that game (or the game the year before). Beane was right to tell them to “quit your b-i-t-c-h-i-n-g” given these facts, and the signing of Elijah Moore isn’t an “admission” of anything by Beane. -
No -- the article says "there has been no indication that Elway was driving the cart negligently." Having worked in the legal industry, and specifically motor vehicle accidents, for the better part of 25 years, I can assure you that statement doesn't mean diddly poo.
-
How awful. According to that report the guy fell “off the back of a moving cart” after Elway, he, and their wives had attended a party earlier. I’ll say what we’re all thinking — alcohol. I really hope that’s not the case.

The NFL absolutely should do something because what happens in Miami isn’t what “home field advantage” is about. When warm weather teams have to play in cold weather cities in December, the home team isn’t dousing the opponent with more wind, ice, rain, or snow. The teams are playing in equitable conditions. Miami specifically redesigned their stadium to put the visitors directly in the blazing sun during the early afternoon. If the NFL schedules 1 pm games in Miami in September and October it should institute a rule that the visitors can bring in whatever equipment they want (shades, AC units, fans) to deal with the heat. Sounds like you need a new Christmas dinner tradition. Your family aren’t Bills fans? Hell, I’d tell them that’s what I want as my present. The rumor of a Christmas night game has us rethinking our entire holiday. I, my wife, my sister, and my brother-in-law are all in our 50s. No kids to worry about. My mom will be 86. Rather than doing “gifts” we are thinking about getting an Airbnb and doing Christmas in Buffalo (I and my mom live in NC, my sister lives in NYC). Splurge for the heated club seats and make the last (regular season) game at Highmark a special occasion. I’m actually very excited about it.

2025 Official Bills Schedule Prediction & Breakdown

Rumor going around of Bills home game on Christmas evening…last regular season game at Rich/Ralph/Highmark. -
There’s a very easy solution to that…

Watched the whole thing, and I feel even better about how he addressed the WGR morons yesterday. Great GM.

Defensive line after Camp, then after suspended players return?
eball replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
Don't forget to account for the dozen or so transactions involving Kingsley Jonathan. -
I completely agree, this is an extremely vague title.

49ers sign Kittle to 4-yr 76.4M contract extension.
eball replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
And how un-excited can the 49ers be about that? When you're in "decent but sorta meh QB" purgatory and have to pay the guy it sucks. -
I agree with all of this. It's on McD and Babich (and the new ST coach) to change it.
-
That's the plan, Stan.
-
The Bills scored 29 points in the playoffs against a team that averaged giving up 19. They also got jobbed by the refs on at least two spots that would have extended drives. Pat’s “toys” are irrelevant — their defense is what has made the difference the past few seasons.
-
Samuel was arguably our best receiver in the playoffs.
-
You didn’t, I just responded to your post. There are plenty who are, however, and you know it.
-
Of course it would! Nobody, including Beane, disagrees with that. The problem is the incessant criticism of Beane as if he is consciously ignoring it, rather than understanding he has to build an entire football team and make decisions that often sacrifice one need for another. We can debate whether a speed receiver or a better D line is more important. That’s fine. What’s ridiculous — in my opinion — is somehow suggesting Beane is an idiot for not going the way some want him to go.

Miami Herald: Dolphins players have turned on McDaniel
eball replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, but last year it was an A++. Things are changing… -
Yeah, you missed my point completely.

It was refreshing, and reminded me of the Seinfeld episode about booing a comedian. Nobody expects a GM or coach to actually hold a radio host accountable. Beane has answered the WR question again and again and again, and if he sat on hold listening to WGR bash the WR room for several minutes before coming on I'm glad he was able to speak his mind. I wish he had asked the WGR boobs if he should walk down to the locker room to tell Shakir, Palmer, Coleman, and Samuel they aren't good enough and need to find a new place to work. Yes, this is the beginning of his prime -- not the middle or end.
