  1. I hear ya, but one would think the gameplan was to run on the Fish and Smith/DiMarco fit into that sort of plan (theoretically). I think it was more the fact that they went tempo and kept Miami from making substitutions by keeping the same personnel in the game. Regardless, the offense functioned well.
  2. As others have noted, he was placed on IR for a neck injury. I happened to be watching his last game and he was absolutely DRILLED by a defender on the final play of the game. After that game he trashed the coaching staff, and the next day he went on IR. The timing of the two events is a convenient coincidence but I do believe he was/is hurt.
  3. Good on you. It displays a healthy attitude to refuse to enjoy a good outing because you expect the sky to fall next week.
  4. From the Buffalo News this a.m.; should make a lot of folks happy. Perhaps this is a sign that the Bills are finally figuring out "who they are" on offense and creating an identity -- or it's just the personnel grouping that they felt worked best against Miami. In either case, 37 pts and 400+ of offense is nothing to sneeze at. 1. The Bills didn’t use their “heavy” offensive package much. Blocking tight end Lee Smith played a season-low seven snaps (10%), while fullback Patrick DiMarco was on the field for just four snaps (6%).
  5. It would be nice if folks don't just run with the assumption that Daboll is reading coverages for Josh when there is no proof of it, only an internet rumor.
  6. Big Ben just threw up in his mouth a little bit being mentioned in the same sentence as Rivers.
  7. Eli’s two Super Bowl runs will probably be enough to get him into the HOF.
  8. The great thing about a bar of soap is that it’s self-cleaning. What an asinine thread.
  9. That thing looks awful.
  10. I disagree, the Bills were actually playing aggressively and not sitting on a 10-pt lead with most of the 4th quarter remaining. I’d wager it had zero to do with Daboll calling coverages for him. Good god, the conspiracy theories some will reach for around here.
  11. Mahomes is nothing more than a game manager. ?
  12. Yesterday was a big game for Knox...made some plays and NO DROPS. If he becomes confident with his hands he has the potential to really hurt teams.
  13. If only we had a #1... I kid, I kid, of course it would be nice to have another stud to complement Brown but after 10 weeks you can no longer say it's a fluke. The dude can ball and isn't just a "deep threat."
  14. Big of you to finally come around and admit your mistake.
  15. Which is a pretty funny statement, because what else would he say? There's certainly a difference between "football intelligence" and simply possessing general knowledge or an analytical mind. Lamar seems to have football intelligence in great supply. I do also think there is something to be said for not being "too smart" to just play the game. Smart people tend to over-analyze things, whereas a guy who's not as smart might just move on to the next play.
  16. You know what PFF is short for? Pffffft.
  17. Let that statement sink in. Wow.
  18. Nah, most of us thought it looked easy. I even started a thread about how I couldn't talk myself out of at least 10-6 for this team based largely upon the schedule.
  19. I know, he literally had all day at times. I wonder what his average snap-to-throw time was yesterday.
  20. You can check on progress here ... looks like it will be ready to me.
  21. The Bills will definitely be at Arizona and at San Fran. Seattle and the Rams will be in Buffalo. As for the AFC West, if we look at the matchups from two seasons ago I'm guessing the Bills will play at Denver and at Oakland/Vegas, and have KC and the Chargers at home. Vegas road trip sounds like a must. Anyway, the schedule is the schedule. You play who's in front of you.
  22. Edited for clarity.
  23. I think that means a lot of "sharp" money came in on the Bills early.
  24. It struck me as a bit odd yesterday that the Fish defenders seemed to be very vocal and demonstrative, even after routine plays. They were jawing non-stop, flexing their muscles, and it was kind of funny since the Bills pretty much had their way with them. Am I alone in noticing that?
  25. The Bills-Ravens game in OP on 12/8 should be a blast. I like that Buffalo gets an extra couple of days of prep for this one.
