  1. They can't even win the SEC and they don't have a strong schedule (SEC overall is having a down year). I think it's unlikely, but nothing's impossible. The team that's interesting is Minnesota (in my opinion). They're way down in the rankings (17 last week) but just beat #4 and they face ranked opponents (Iowa, Wisky) in two of their last three (before a B10 championship matchup). They'll probably move up to #10 or so this week, but over the next three weeks could put themselves in the playoff picture.
  2. My prediction: Not Alabama, not Alabama, not Alabama, and not Alabama
  3. Ding, d-o-n-g, the witch is dead!
  4. I realized this morning that I'm now getting to the point where I expect Josh Allen to play well, rather than hoping he does. When you look at his stats over the last five weeks (four games) you see that he is becoming a legit NFL starting QB.
  5. Detroit & Denver? I think the Bills/Pats*** for sure will be moved to Saturday.
  6. The Jets in W1 were a team with decent players...just ask ScottLaw.
  7. I’d pile on here but that seems excessive. I’ll just say “umm, no.”
  8. “Everyone” means different things to different people. Just look at the current resident of the WH.
  9. Dude, find me an NFL coach who thinks playing Buffalo is a “week off.” I’ll wait. Just a moronic post. Sorry, but I call it like I see it.
  10. The whole "desperate team" thing bit me in the a$$ a couple of weeks ago when I underestimated the Eagles, but the Browns are not the Eagles. The Eagles have a recent winning tradition and a SB-winning head coach. The Browns have a bunch of "talented" guys who haven't won anything and an aww-shucks head coach who is in over his head. If Buffalo plays a solid road game (no turnovers, limit penalties) they should be in good shape.
  11. All of Bills fandom would serve themselves well to ignore the outside noise until Thanksgiving, because even if the Bills defeat their next three opponents that respect you're all longing for will still not come until they beat a team "perceived" to be good.
  12. Whatever you're doing, you are in the wrong profession. Get an audition tape together, STAT, and send it to the networks.
  13. I don't think you'll find much disagreement with that remark.
  14. The fact that you rank strength/quality of a team based upon a popularity contest says all I need to know. I'm sorry Rex and Anthony Lynn (and Mike Gillislie) aren't still here to lead the uber-talented Bills to greatness. How 'bout them JETS!!!!!!
  15. Just so I get this straight -- a player can be average, solid, really good, or spectacular. Are there other categories? How about "sort of outstanding" or "kinda sucks?" If Poyer, Hyde, Morse, or Brown were to become available teams would be knocking down the freaking door to sign them. I'll add Milano and possibly Dawkins to that list. And we haven't even mentioned the really young guys -- Allen, Singletary, Edmunds, Oliver, Knox. I LOL at people saying the Bills are a rag-tag bunch of nobodies who are somehow pulling Ws out of their #######.
  16. Woooooo, them's fightin' words to some in these parts!
  17. I don't allow myself to get worked up over this because I actually like McD being able to keep pushing the "nobody respects us" message in the locker room. It is kind of funny, though...even with the Pats*** loss on Sunday night I've heard several national broadcasters still making definitive statements like "the Ravens will still have to beat them in Foxboro later on." It is correct that nobody gives the Bills a chance to win the AFC East, which will make it all the sweeter if it somehow happens. I'm just enjoying the ride.
  18. The NFL standings beg to differ.
  19. Well, it starts on Saturday afternoon when I'm awakened from my afternoon nap by a knock at the front door. Still groggy, I open the door to what appear to be identical twins, perhaps in their early 20s, asking to come in so they can tell me about their cleaning service as they reveal French maid outfits under their overcoats...
  20. Due tell.
  21. Not questioning this at all...but it is "a very tough game" for the Cowboys also, and that's my only point!
  22. Love it. That's what the naysayers never contemplate -- that other teams actually know Buffalo is a "tough out." The Bills have a top 5 defense that teams have to prepare for. They have an offense that has moved the ball very effectively, even if their scoring numbers are not where they should be. They have a dynamic QB who can beat you in a multitude of ways. I guarantee you NO team in the NFL looks at Buffalo on their schedule and thinks, "ok, we've got a break this week."
  23. So we've got the Bills believing they're disrespected, McD with a "revenge" game against the team that spurned him, and a Browns squad of "me first" guys who aren't playing well together. If ever a fast start was important it would be this game. Get the Browns down by a couple of scores early and it could be a stress-free afternoon.
  24. I think this game provides plenty of motivation for the Bills as they continue to feel "disrespected" -- I'd be playing the "we're facing a team that has only won two football games and they're favored" card all week. If the Bills come out flat for this one I'll really be surprised.
